Don't EVER get a Best Buy Card

So I've purchased a 60 inch television a while back and have been making payments on it. A couple days ago, I looked on my Best Buy account statement to find that what I previously owed (around 300 dollars) had turned into 900 dollars!!! Along with this, my minimum payment went up from 25 to 31 dollars. I haven't made any late payments or anything like that, so I thought this must be a mistake....I mean that's crazy for me to buy practically twice the price of the television. My response was to email the customer service and they told me this happened because it had been over a certain time limit. I thus responded back saying...so you think that because I haven't paid by a certain time period (even though I've always paid on time) that I should have to pay twice the amount of the TV?????!!! I think not!

I don't think you should get any more credit cards if you can't understand how accrued interest works/don't read the credit card agreements.

"For Same As Cash Plans, if interest is applied, the interest is accrued

from the transaction date of the purchase through the current cycle."

That is from the credit agreement YOU signed. It states that after the interest free period ends, your interest accrues from the day you purchased the TV.

So if you have only been making the minimum payments every month, then interest has been building on the balance since day 1.

After the interest free period (18 months lets say) then ALL that interest that was building up comes back and is added to the balance.

The idea of an interest free period is that you are supposed to pay off the WHOLE balance in that time, not just tiny pieces. This is how EVERY credit card treats interest free promotional periods.

Also, this is a policy of Capital One since it is their credit card and their money, not Best Buy's.

I went to best buy to purchase a tablet. After waiting for almost 45minutes someone decided to assist me. The individual clearly did not know the products they were selling and didn't even know what they had in stock. After purchasing the tablet I decided to get a bigger tablet. The next day I arrive at the store when they first open hoping to receive better customer service. After waiting 30 minutes to see a new tablet I decided to look for a manager. Surprisingly all the managers were in the front of the store laughing and goofing off. Apparently, they were offended that I interrupted there non work related conversation. The manager told me that it should be someone in the area to assist me. After walking around they finally found someone to assist me. Apparently he was upset that we interrupted his texting. My problem is that I counted 25 employees on the floor of the store walking around. No one was assisting or trying to get a sale. The store in Newport News, VA clearly doesn't know what customer service is. Management and employees really need basic training. I try to avoid this store at all cost. Best buy corporate really needs to go and investigate issues with store. Employees are rude, unfriendly and getting paid not to do there job.

If you are ever getting new appliances, don't use best buy! Their website is impossible to use and delivery does not include installation. Installation is also done by a third party that is different from the one that delivers. Have fun getting it all scheduled. And it cost $140 bucks for them to install a dishwasher. This was after I specifically chatted with a "customer service rep" on the website when I ordered AND VERIFIED IT WAS INCLUDED. Save yourself the hassle. I only got installation set for the same day as delivery because I threw a fit.

Stopped by Apple Store yesterday, February 9th 2015, to see if the technicians would be able to fix the phone. After review of the phone, Apple determined that unauthorized modifications by a third party had taken place and that voided the phone under Apple's limited warranty.

Basically, Apple told me that the phone was ineligible for service. Went to the Best Buy store in Gainesville VA and explained this to the store manager, a young lady. She listened to me and told me there was nothing they could do and that I basically had a paper weight.

Thanks again Best Buy for unsatisfactory service. Caution to all: go anywhere but Best Buy to purchase your phone.

Purchased a I-Phone 5 with the service plan in Jan 2013. Phone screen cracked in Nov 2014 and Best Buy sent me a refurbished replacement phone. January 31, 2015, I stopped by Best Buy in Gainesville VA, because the replacement phone was having technical issues, key pad malfunction (not opening up, sending texts and calling without my initiation). Told my replacement plan had expired on January 29th and that they only cover refurbished phones for 30 days. Told that resetting phone to original factory might help - it did not...problem continues. Call Geek Squad and basically told that I have no recourse and that I have to go get a new phone. Needless to say, I will never step into a Best Buy again (platinum member). This is unsatisfactory that I paid for a replacement plan and I was provider a refurbished phone that does not work.

The problem with that situation is BestBuy's contract with their vendors. They get the product on display theres no stock because the manufacturer doesn't produce enough and they rush production and market the *** out of the product.

Then when it doesn't sell well the vendor pulls the product. Welcome to corporate America. Furthermore android wear is the glorified competitor to the Samsung tizen watches. I said "Glorified" because it is glorified.

Android wear is in beta stage and was hyped up severely. I work at BestBuy and most of those watches get returned because they don't have $200 worth of useful features. My recommendation is to wait a few more months and see what's going on in the smartwatch world. The gear neo is my favorite smart watch right now.

But I'm not impressed by any of the others. The Samsung gear live isn't bad and honestly the moto 360 got bad feedback. But I really think its due to the lack of android wear functionality. Android wear has a completely different mission.

Its job is to present you with the information you want at your fingertips without you asking.

It doesn't have a ton of multimedia functionality. Anyway have a good night :)

My Samsung refrigerator has so many problem and the it never works correctly after the warranty expired. We had bought the extended warranty hoping this would help. But....one bad experience after the other ..This latest incident left us without refrigerator for one month. We have made at least 15 phone to Geek Squad, and Special Force but all we got were emptied promises. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY ESPECIALLY BUYING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. ALL YOU WILL GET IS LOSING MORE MONEY AND TONS OF STRESS AND FUSTRATION. BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD AND SPECIAL ARE THE WORST!!!!

If you have a Geek Squad warranty, that covers just about everything for five years, and even adds five years beyond the manufacturer's warranty for the compressor. It only allows for four covered services.

If they have to come out a fifth time on a covered repair, the unit is replaced. If the unit fails and your food spoils, the contents is covered up to $250.00. If you need to have service performed within the first year, THAT service (most likely) is covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Service performed under the manufacturer's warranty does not count towards Geek Squad covered repairs for a no-lemon replacement.

So, worst case scenario, you should have gotten a new refrigerator by now. But, since you provided so little information as to dates, delivery, prices, contacts and service calls...there's not much more I can say.

I went to a Best Buy store this morning at 9:30, and I waited outside in the rain to be the first in line to pre order the iphone 6+. It turned out that Best Buy is not doing pre orders for the plus yet.. The employees did not even know what they were doing and told me to leave.. Yes, it is Best Buy's fault that you waited out in the rain until the store opened to try to preorder the new iphone. They didn't make you do anything.

And they DO advertise when they're taking preorders. They don't keep it a secret. This is the most ridiculous review I've ever read. Next time be an adult and do some research first.

A simple phone call is all it takes. You're an entitled, immature child who needs to grow up and stop blaming other people for the ridiculous *** that you do.
