Best Buy has the absolute worst customer service
After receiving no attention at the computer area I chose one on my own. When I attempted to pay for it I was told I couldn't buy it because windows 8 was unavailable for purchase on that date. I asked why it was on the shelf and was asked if I wanted to preorder and I replied no. The associate grab the menchadise and walked away without offering an alturnative product. Feeling disrespected I asked to speak to the manager. They sent me a 25 yr. old kid instead. I was informes that Microsoft pays them to stock the item on the shelf. I complained that it was *** to stock a product that can be chosen by the public and not be purchased. I was told "Microsoft pays for it to be on the shelf so that where it will stay." I called customer service several times and got a bunch of half hearted apologies, but no solutions. I feel that my complaint was never taken seriously and never turned over to any one of any real authority. I will never shop there again and encourage others to stay away as well.

I ordered a camera by phone and the person ordered the wrong one. The camera was not stocked in stores so my only choice was to order and test it. When I tried to return it, they offered to waive the return period since the original item was on back order. It was a camera that produced poor picture quality so of no use and I returned it. When the camera was back in stock I ordered one. Noticed it had been shipped from their return center. I was surprised because I paid full price. In any case, I tested the camera to see if it had the same focusing issue and it did. I returned the camera in less than 3 days. They made the error and want to punish me for it! Needless to say, they no longer have my business. I strongly question their reputability!

Wanted to purchase a mp3 device to record/download books. Store in Allen Park, MI did not have Ipod Nano in stock, nor was anybody available to answer questions, help with instrustions, etc. I was treated like a *** old woman who had no reason to be there. I did purchase a mp3 player for downloading books from Barnes & Nobel, Amazon, etc. sites, however, I had a lot of trouble with it ... even a techno experienced person was frustrated with the device. After I return the mp3 device to the store where it was purchased, I will never again buy anything from Best Buy... especially at this store. In the past I have purchased 4 TVs, a best of the best computer, an air conditioner, and lots of other high end things. You will no no longer be receiving my business!, especially at this store!! Shame on you for the attitude that seems to be pervasive with the young people *techno experts* employed by your company.
Don't work with Best Buy they don't value customers
this is the last time I will buy from Best Buy. I purchased a camera from BestBuy.com and upon trying to use the camera it would not open and turn on. I went into the store and they said they couldn't help me because I bought it from their marketplace, meaning from one of their third party suppliers. I felt it I was completely unacceptable for them to push it onto them as my payment went to Best Buy not the third party. now I have to have the manufacturer try to repair the camera instead of getting a new one because too much time lapsed between finding out it was broken and trying to figure out how I could return it. I've spent over $3000 there in the last 3 years and this is the way I was treated, again, I'll never buy from them again
I see all these complaints about Best Buy. Ive been working at Best Buy for over 3 years now. You guys do not see our point on the other end of the counter. We have a policy to follow just like most businesses do. The policy is clearly posted on the back of your receipt. When it comes to Geek Squad protection our motto is clear "If we can't fix it then it will be replaced". So just because you purchased a $500 TV and a $100 dollar protection plan doesnt mean we are going to give you a new TV. It simply means we will try to fix the issue and if we are unsucessful then you qualify for a new TV. If you upgrade to a new TV you will have to pay the difference. When it comes to answering phones that is our job as well. Just like customers come in store and want to purchase things customers call on the phone and would like to purchase things as well. Besides it would be rude to speak to you in person with a phone ringing while we are trying to conversate. Overall I think people need to be more considerate of Best Buy. We do our job to help but everything is not always going to go you're way if that was the case we wouldnt have rules or policies.
Bestbuy is no longer a "best buy" place.
I ordered a LG refrigerator two weeks ago. The order missed the first delivery, then on the second delivery, it arrived as openbox with dent. The next reschedule was confirmed yesterday, and later I was informed they need to reschedule again, but no one can explain to me what happened. Although the store manager tried her best to help me, the Bestbuy system totally failed. It took me two weekend days and one week day that I need to take a day off to wait for the delivery, all I heard was "sorry" but no real resolution. I finally cancelled the order. I DO believe BestBuy will be the next Circuit City.

I was a victom when an X-girlfriend used my credit card to purchase 2 lollipop laptop computers. I filed a dispute and that started the investigation. They reviewed the in-store surveillance of the day I was victomized, and said even though she amitted to signing my name and that I had given her my permission to do so. They said that because I had been in the store with her earlier that day, that it was ok for her to sign my name on the receipts which signatures did not even vaguely resemble my signature, one was just basically up and down loops ! The Best Buy dispute department never would admit it wa forgery and I ended up having to pay for the computers. I was very disappointed on the view they had taken and had for a long time enjoyed shopping at Best Buy, but now I would not reccomend anyone trusting their card holder safety terms.

i bought this anti virus software,would not work..a discolored line going thru it.was defective..they would only exchange it. did not want another i want my money back! Its seems so unfair, the only way i could ever know if it worked or not was to open the box,they gave me a new one and they opened the box!! I did not want a different one I just want my $$$ back!! i WILL NEVER BUY FROM BEST BUY AGAIN...THEY ARE SO VERY DISHONEST...WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THIS ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE?? IM ON A very limited budget...how do you people get away w/this??

I bought a brand new tv from them on July 4 this year. I was moving it today and the screen cracked. I brought it in hoping there was something they could do. They told me it would cost me $35 to send it off and that it would cost $900 to fix. The tv only cost $899!!!! When I asked them to talk to a manager, they said they were all in a meeting and not available. When the manager finally did come out she was completely rude and did not care about my problems. I asked them to sell me another tv at a discounted price and she said no!!! I left and went to HH Gregg and bought a new tv. I will never spend another dime at best buy.
Best Buy extended warranity
I bought a LG dishwasher,stainless steal tub,I bought a five year warranity,they said if they had to come out and repair it 3 times,they would replace my dishwasher with a new exact model.Well after the 5th time,I ask about their replacement promise,well they said it had to be for 3 different things ! The transmission went out twice !! The dishwasher did not get much use,because I'm a 70 year old widow.One repairman even told me they sold me a lemon.I will never buy from Best Buy again.Don't be fooled.
