when I was trying to set up my Roku a page came up saying they needed a credit card number. I purchased a prepaid credit card and after I entered the number I was told it would cost $99.99 to activate My Roku.

They would not let Me activate the Roku without the $99.99.After I paid the money and was activated I found there was not supposed to be an activation fee. I was scammed by a site called Roku technical support. I just want to let people know they have to be very careful when setting up their Roku.

There is NO activation fee when setting up. Now I can`t get My money back because it was on a prepaid credit card.

You were charged because you went to a third party to "activate" your Roku. Actually, you could have used a PayPal account or a credit card.

It's not the fault of Roku.

This is the second complaint I have seen about this scam. You have to be very careful and know for sure you are contacting Roku, not some third party.

Never heard of 'em. Therefore I wouldn't hand them even a found cent.

And Best Buy is one of my least favorite stores of all time. Double whammy.
