Best Buy 11/29/21

Im thinking of returning everything and cancelling my card. I had the worst experience yesterday.

I know I was a little complicated. I wanted it sorted out before I left but it was clear that wasnt going to happen.

Ill have to explain the whole thing.

I made a purchase of $601.76 on 11/16/21, I spent over $599 because at the time you had to spend that much in order to receive 18 months interest free.

In that order I had a black indoor ring cam which was $59.99, I also purchase the warranty.

I realized that the black cam was going to be too obvious so I took it to the store to do an even exchange for the same item but white.

I was planning on putting the cam in my front window because I live in apartments. I realized after setting it up that the indoor cam wasnt going to work after all because there was a huge glare and all I could see was the reflection of my blinds.

I ended up going back in to the store on 11/24/21 to see what else was available and would work for me. I decided on the indoor/outdoor wireless cam.

However it was $40 more than what I had paid for the indoor one. I saw online that there was a refurbished white one for $69.99, so I got that and the warranty. It was not in my store so it had to be shipped to me. I received it on 11/26/21.

When doing that exchange I did add a extra battery plus the warranty on it, I have not received that item yet. I knew there was going to be a price difference.

Indoor white came $59.99, tax $4.95

Warranty $10.99, tax .90

Refurbished white cam $69.99, tax $5.78

Warranty $10.99, tax .92

Release battery for cam $29.99, tax $2.47

Warranty $8.99, tax .73

Leaving a difference of $53.03

Later that night (11/24) I saw that the same came but brand new had gone down $25 making it $74.99. Now it didnt make sense for me to keep the refurbished one with only a $5 dollar difference.

I decided to purchase a black one for $74.99 plus the warranty. I also bought in that same order a charger for the ring cam batteries and a miles morales control holder.

These items were ready for pick up on 11/29/21 from the store.

I brought the white refurbished one and the receipt I had for it. I wanted to do the return and exchange the way I did because I wanted it to take the spot on my Best Buy credit card so I wouldnt lose the 18 month promotion. Plus I made the purchase of the black cam & warranty, charger & warranty and miles morales on my PayPal account. I wanted the money for the cam & warranty and the charger & warranty to go back to my PayPal credit.

I told the girl that I had 3 items I needed to pick up.

Once picked up I told her that Id like to return the black cam and the charger, & both warranties. I found out that I didnt actually need to have a charger, that I could use just a cord. So I didnt need the charger after all.

I then told her that I wanted to exchange to white refurbished one for the black one along with the warranty.

Somehow she got confused and started an exchange with returning the black cam & warranty along with the charger and warranty and exchanged it for the refurbished one. I didnt realize this until after the fact and it couldnt be voided since I bought online.

When she did this it made $8.66 go back to my PayPal. I knew this wasnt right. There was no way. I shouldve gotten $111.25 back to my PayPal credit.

I trusted they knew what they were doing because she got someone to help her.

The person helping her was the one that tried the void but said it wouldnt work. They then scan the white one and did an exchange for the black cam. I knew I was going to have to pay $5 plus tax for the difference, which was fine. But I left there with one black cam and a refund of $8.66 but then I had to pay $5.42.

That difference is only $3.24.

There is absolutely no way thats right. I think that its possible that it shows I own more than one black cam. I also dont think I got the warranties back on some of the transactions.

I tried looking at my account but I was so confused. But I know 100% that its not right.

I just want my money back for the items that I do not have in my possession.

Im sorry Im confusing but I really would like this worked out. If not, I will return the items I bought for Christmas and cancel my card. You will lose a very valuable customer.

I would do order numbers but there are so many with all the exchanges. Im confused.
