Don't buy at Best Buy buy at Costco. Assistant Manager Shawn at Best Buy Montgomery Pennsylvania store refused my return of Motorola Modem after we looked up receipt and found it and recognized that I spent over $10,000 in 2 years. Would not exchange the faulty modem. Gave him many opportunities to stand by the product they sell. Costco would have done it no matter what. Item still like new and had plastic but it was just over the return time. Even had the nerve to say it's not a doc 3 should be a doc 3. Looks at it closely and said "wow" it is a doc 3 but still can't return it while he was walking out the door 10 minutes before their closing at 9pm. Felt he just didn't want to be bothered by a loyal customer. Will not spend any more money there Costco is the ticket..Have you ever returned anything to Costco. It is the easiest. They don't ask questions...

The small store in the mall had the rudest sales man. He told me he couldn't Handel my return because he didn't feel like looking for our reset on computer. So now I'm stuck with a broken phone holder. And a lose of 35.00.

Moving to new house so bought TV mount in ahead of time in anticipation of move. The item won't work in our new house but can't return due to 2 WEEK return policy. Who has a 2 week return policy! Toohat's ridiculous! Rude staff and even more rude management. Never shop at Roosevelt Blvd. store!

It's *** but a lot of places have 14 day return policies on electronics nowadays. Of course that should all have been listed on the receipt. Some places are pretty lenient and will work with you in some way, overriding the return or letting you swap it with a different one from the shelf.

Best Buy - Refurbished Computer Review from Doylestown, Pennsylvania

I bought a refurbished computer less than a month ago to use for school. It was always slow but in the last few days it has been freezing up completely when I try to use the Internet and I have to shut it down. I called and they said all they can do is have me take it to the store and have it diagnosed, which starts at $69.99. I reiterated that I had just purchased this computer. She said there was nothing else they can do. It's possible the repair may be covered under warranty, but I would still have to pay for the diagnosis.

Of course you have to pay for the diagnostics. Why are you so entitled or special that the rules don't apply to you?The services they offer are not free.

When you buy a car from a dealership and need work done on it, you take it back to the dealership and 9/10 times you'll have to pay for the service you want done. Same thing if you take it to a regular mechanic, you don't expect free work done from them.

Getting your computer diagnosed or worked on is no different. You're just an entitled diva

I have yet to purchase anything refurbished that actually worked. A couple of years ago or so I bought a Tom Tom GPS.

It went haywire in 8 months. I sent it for warranrty/replcement. A week later they sent me a refurbished replacement.

It had the same problem. My advise is buy new but not from Best Buy.

Best Buy is the worst company- Stay away!

I had several problems with my home theatre set-up. Best Buy's Geek squad charged $160 + tax for someone to come to my house to diagnose the problems. The first man spent over 2 hours, and was not able to correct the problems. I went back to Best Buy to set up another appointment the following week. The second man came to my house and diagnosed the problems immediately, fixed most of them, and stated that I need to buy a $70.00 speaker selector to fix the remaining problem, and that after I bought it he would come to install it, which he stated would take only about 10 minutes, I bought the speaker selector and tried to contact him repeatedly, but could not reach him, after trying for almost two weeks. I then called Geek Squad to set up an appointment to install the speaker selector. I waited 4 hours (8 AM to noon) and took off from work, for someone to arrive, which they didn't. When I called Geek Squad, they informed me that the appointment was canceled by them because it would have to be a paid appointment, which now would cost over $200! I am now stuck with a speaker selector, and audio problems, which could easily be resolved but for the greediness of Best Buy.

I spend enough money with bestbuy to become their elite PLUS member. Every Time i call the customer service line I always get a answer "NO". Their customer service in the store are the same. WOrst in the world. I even sent the CEO a email HOW angry i was over the way...

Elite Plus membership does not grant you free extended warranty... that I know of.

Yes, they are correct, the warranty is covered by the mfg, and is at least 1 year. Some parts are covered for more than 1 year. Repair would be done at an authorized repair center.

Did you even check the specific warranty? Or, just complain about how unfair it all is because you spend a lot of $.

Wow. The entitlement is amazing.

Well, I spend alot of money on gas for my car, so when the engine fails, I should be entitled to a new engine! right?

If you bought a washer with less than a 5 month mfg warranty, then don't complain because you bought cheap! My guess is it does have a longer warranty, but you just accept whatever is said by whoever answers the phone.

1. Check the warranty. This is included in the documentation you received with the washer. Or, go the the mfg website and check on the specif model of the washer for the warranty periods.

2. If it's still under warranty, go to a certified repair center with your original receipt and THEY will tell you if it's covered. Skip BB and the mfg.

It's been over a year, so, no, it's most likely not covered now. It amazes me how little knowledge people have about the products they purchase, and little research they do.

This couldn't be more true. I spent $700.00 on a laptop 2 months ago, it took a dump on me today, and they wanted another $200.00 for their geek squad coverage.

Good thing I know an IT guy.

I don't recommend this *** hole to anyone for anything. Money hungry pathetic losers.

Have no idea how to do inventory | Best Buy review from Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Went to a store looking for an iPad keyboard case. I picked one out and I nventory said there were 2 in stock. They couldn't find them after a half hour of searching, so they checked another store where there were supposed to be 4 in stock. I drove 30 minutes to that store and they couldn't find them either. I kept asking for a refund and they kept sending employees to look for the item. What a huge waste of my time. They have no clue what's in their inventory. They said their "inventory specialists" knew where everything was - what a joke.

My husband bought a Sirius sat radio for me for Christmas.... sales associate never told him he needed a SEPARATE piece to activate the sat radio...so that was an EXTRA 100 dol that we were thrown into..didn't have the "tuner" piece...had to wait for that....when picking that piece up she couldn't find it....while waiting on me shes on her earphone piece walking to someone else and I thought she was talking to me and got snippy w/me when asked her what ?.....after radio was installed the associate didn't show me anything on the radio or go over anything.... would of been nice customer service....just all the way round dissatisfied.

Now that the Christmas rush is over, it's a good opportunity to stop by the store and visit the installer in the bay. I would mention to him your last experience, and ask him for any suggestions on how to proceed.

If you still need any instruction on operating the unit, he can take his time and explain things thoroughly to you.

The reason I say all this, is because many people only shop at Best Buy during the Christmas holidays. In other words, you've seen them at their worst...give them a chance to show you their better side.
