Our 18 month old $$$ Samsung TV 55” has died. Geek squad was to be out tomorrow. A 3rd party contractor called to say it would be another week and that Best Buy overlooks on dates to make people happy. Not happy and service is aweful.

Their employees should be taught about laws before trying to detain someone. Despite the fact me daughter was dishonest, that is false imprisonment and I could sue them. Not to mention the fact that they thought I should/would pay for something either way. No thanks. Won't be shopping at best buy...

I purchased 2 appliances at the cost of 1608.00 and could not get the delivery set up, I went into the store to cancel with the manager, and I use that term loosely, and was assured my refund (I paid cash) would be processed that day, Oct. 19. After 1 week Shania called me to tell me she processed my refund! WTH! It should have been sent by then, well it is now Nov 1. and still no refund. HH Gregg will get my business from now on, I went there got my stuff the next day and my rebate already came back! Where is my refund???? I will never shop there again !

Best Buy // Worst Customer experience

Worst experience ever with Best Buy. Bought a washer and dryer, first purchase from them, and was supposed to receive a gift certificate of $200.00 Haven’t received an email from them and I reached out to them. Purchase was made in July. I called them 4 times, some of the phone calls were an hour long. Someone got the same member ID as us and was making purchases with our member ID and used our $200.00 certificate. They said they have to investigate and they will reissue the certificate within 3-5 business days. It’s been over a MONTH and still not resolved. I asked to talk to a manager and they refused to give me someone that I could talk to that was higher up that could do something about this. Nothing has been resolved. I also asked them to email me with an update and the refuse to that as well. They told me I should call back if it’s not issued within 3-5 business days. And that is what I have been doing and NOTHING. They also have no idea how someone could get a hold of the same Member ID. I asked them for a new member ID and they said I have to go to the store and apply for a new one. Really? You guys make it so difficult for your customers. Never will I EVER buy from Best Buy again.

Most likely someone at the BB you shopped at saw your purchase and the $200 credit to your member number and just used that number in making a purchase(es). Employee theft is common at most business and using your info to get a free $200 was easy to do and without consequences.

Best Buy hasn't the greatest customer service in the best of times. Best to buy your appliances from Lowe's anyway.

Tried to buy a refrigerator from Best Buy. Evidently everyone but me knows better than to do this. One of the very worst days of my life (and that is truly saying something). The store does not answer phone calls. Not one answer all day. The delivery does not arrive at the guaranteed delivery time. I have to miss work because they keep changing the guaranteed delivery time. The delivery people eventually call me late in the day to say "Refrigerator?? What refrigerator? We have no refrigerator! We think we have found a used one somewhere on the truck -- would you like that delivered?" Corporate Customer Service answered the phone after a wait of best part of an hour. They tried for about an hour. They sincerely believe the alleged refrigerator exists but cannot determine where it may be or why it was not delivered or when it might be delivered and they cannot cancel my order -- they don't have permission. They suggest I go back to the store and ask to speak to the manager. Why would I believe a store that does this to its customers is being managed? Would this be a used manager found under a spare truck tire? Can anyone tell where such a manager might be or if or when this person might appear? Would I dare to Abandon All Hope and enter this Hades store again?

I feel like could start a pretty large support group just of people with mysterious vanishing Best Buy refrigerators. I should have read these reviews before I ordered, but I was working on so many projects to get my house ready to sell that I thought I would just trust Best Buy to keep track of their own inventory.

Best Buy and Netgear

We had a Netgear wireless USB adapter that failed after months. We called Netgear support. After much trial and error, they confirmed the product had failed and advised the quickest way to a replacement was to return the product to Best Buy along with the case number they provided. I was skeptical, but the Netgear rep assured me Best Buy would not hesitate to accept the product - she said they would notify Best Buy of the case number and that Best Buy could verify the case number and would exchange the product for us. Obviously, that was not the case. Best Buy had no interest in our case number, stating they didn't know why Netgear would give us the number and tell us to return the item. There aren't much choices for tech gear in our area, but if we can avoid purchasing from Best Buy in the future, we will. We can swap the item for free through Netgear, but that will take some time. Another option is to spend $16.90 for Netgear to go ahead and ship a new adapter to us and then we send the damaged item back -- which if they don't receive within 10 days, they will charge us for a new one at the going rate -- whatever that is. So for others that must rely on Best Buy, don't expect them to stand behind the products they sell.

This falls more on Netgear than Best Buy. You had the product for months and it was well after that Best Buy return policy.

Instead of fussing at Best Buy why they don't take the case number, why not fuss at Netgear about it?

Best Buy in Dayton, Ohio - Bad refund policy

Worst return policy , 15 days to bring back stuff. Bought for my office and my tech guy was out sick , Would not take back because it was past date.. We would have taken a credit.. no way, and no way will i buy from them again. I feel sorry for the store staff, this is clearly a corporate policy that has everything to do with poor service as it does for super profits. Why go to a retail place with these restriction when you can go to an online store like Amazon , the policies are much better there and there is no hassle across the board

Poor customer service in the store,,,, no one seemed to know what was going on because I wanted a ice maker with the refrigerator,,,,, could not deliver for a week unless I wanted to pay $150 for installation... got messages on computer and phone saying they were coming Friday 3:30- 5:30.... I took off work to be there.... they called Friday to say they couldn't come until the next Thursday,,, called the # they gave ... on hold forever,,,,,had to talk to someone... then someone else on hold..... talked to manager at Fields Ertel...couldn't care less about my problem,,, said he would credit the acct.... not helpful whatsoever,,,,,,,I cancelled my order... will shop elsewhere from now on.... had bought a washer thru Best buy a few months ago,,, will pay that off and NEVER return...... very poor treatment,,, very upsetting
