Best Buy has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I purchased a $2000 refrigerator and verified the order with my credit card company but since I did not respond to Best Buy's email within 24 hours they cancelled the order. I contacted them and after speaking with several of their employees they would not honor the price I was originally supposed to pay. When I said I would just purchase the refrigerator from another company they said "that is your decision." Some customer service!! I will never purchase another item from Best Buy and I will make sure that none of my friends or family do either. What a nightmare!

THE ASSOCIATES, AS WELL AS THE MANAGERS ARE RUDE AND YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES RETURNING YOUR ITEMS. SHOP AT THE HARTSDALE STORE, IF YOU HAVE TO OTHEREWISE AVOID SHOPPING AT BEST BUY!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!! Just came back from the Best Buy located in Yonkers NY. Went there to return items i purchased from the Hartsdale NY store last night. I had purchased a total of 6 items for photagrrphy lighting because they didnt have the bundle i wanted in the store and was only avail. online. Purchased the items no problems. It turned out the items didnt accomplish what i needed. Was passing by the Yonkers NY store, figured since im here I just return the items here. Upon walking to the customer service desk I was recvd by a girl who already had an attitude and wasnt displaying a friendly face. She informed me with an accusitory tone that someone needed to inspect the items. I said no problem. Was busy with my phone .... when she had called for the store manager and was whispering something. Then the manager starts talking to me in an accusitory fashion as to why Im returning the items here since I bought them from the Hartsdale. When i got annoyed and asked what the problem was... the store manager was rude, confrontaional and instead of nurtralizing the situation - kept escalating the exchange. Am in Retail - and have never ever seen such poor customer service and lack of training on the part of manager and associate. Now I remebered why I stopped shopping at BEST BUY!!!

So if a stranger had hacked your email and picked up your item with the email and receipt, you would have been ok with that? There is a reason the purchaser has to be the one to pick up online orders.

THIS is why. The website also gives you the option to ADD ALTERNATE PICK UP PERSON when you pay.

I ordered a TV Console on line with the Geek Squad assembly to be done in my home. I received an email confirmation that the TV console was shipped and that I would be hearing from Customer Service for scheduling the assembly. I received the email the following day and scheduled the in home assembly. I never received a confirmation email so I called the number that was given. As I feared they had no record of my confirmation number - after several minutes the customer rep found that Victoria (the first call center attendant I spoke with) entered the wrong information - wrong email address and wrong address for installation - Needless to say I was first of all upset that my information was now in the hands of someone other than myself and that I was no longer able to have the assembly done as I had taken the time off of work. In speaking with Ramona I was told that I had 2 options - 1 reschedule or 2 - see if they can "squeeze" me in another day. After I explained this was an inconvenience in my schedule and I did not make the error - this was not acceptable. Unfortunately I was unable to assure that I would have soon arrive at my home as originally scheduled. Appt for 2 weeks was then offered which I adamantly opposed to. Needless to say - this was aggravating but the fact that my information - credit card information - is now in the hands of someone other myself is most upsetting. When asked for Corporate phone number was told they don't have one! Really??? Needless to say bad experience is transmitted to others far more than a good and since the close of my conversation today I have told multiple people, emailed several and have discontinued several of my business accounts that I had through Best Buy.

Why I will never shop at Best Buy again in my life. I am fundamentally opposed to stores that have employee receipt checkers because of the message these stores send to their customers. Many people may dismiss this as something minuscule. I however do not care for the message you are implying: YOU MIGHT BE A THIEF SO PROVE TO US THAT YOU DIDN'T STEAL ANYTHING BEFORE YOU CAN LEAVE. And make no mistake that is exactly what you are implying. We live in America, as an American Citizen I have the right to tell Best Buy employees that NO you CAN NOT see my receipt. I should not be forced to show my receipt and Bags upon leaving a store. And because Best Buy believes in forcing their customers to show their reciepts before leaving the store, I WILL NEVER SHOP at BEST BUY AGAIN.

Don't use a debit/credit card there-Best Buy

My credit card was charged twice for the same item purchased 11/17/2012. I was told by Best Buy customer care that "one was for the purchase authorization hold" and the "other was for the sale itself". The hold would not be released until 12/25/2012! My cedit card is going to charge interest on a Hold Transaction.. This is surely a scam. Imagine a million customers in this situation. How much interest is going to charged? Who gets the money? Is there a kickback scheme going on? They'll have my money for about 37 days. they said someone will call back. Yeah!

Holding is common. But also, they DO make money on your money durring the hold!

A"hold" is a common pratice and you should not be charged interest on it. Call the bank of your credit card if unsure.

Best Buy in Staten Island, New York - $1,000 order where is it....no clue

order 1,000 worth of appliances three weeks ago....called customer service for the last two weeks...put on hold, disconnected, we wont talk to you because the order is in your husbands name.....after being disconnected, onn put on hold for a great length of time.....as of today, they still dont know where my order is....couldnt care less i was cancelling a 1,000 dollar order nor offered to offer me anything for my inconvenience.....so i filed a complaint with their customer service complaint dept and what did they do PUT ME ON HOLD..... i hung up.....do not order from best buy on line or in store period......service is horrible nor do they really care where or how your appliances are being delivered....everyone just passes the buck......STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE
