Best Buy - Bad Shipping/Ordering Practices
I went online on their Thanksgiving day sale on 11/24, sales began at 6am EST, I had my items in my cart and checked out within a few minutes of the start of the sale. I did not dally! After a week I had received no notification. Then received an email that my order was being worked. Then a hold on my bank account for the charges (which I took to mean the order was being processed as is normally the case) within a couple days the hold was removed. Over two weeks after placing the order (last night) I call because I still have not heard anything, after a 20 minute hold time the lady tells me that it's at the Warehouse and they have it in their system that I should receive by the 10th. Within two hours of that call I get an email that states my order is backordered!! No notification and then being told it's being backordered after two weeks. And let's not forget that I was in and out as soon as the sale began. Should it not be first come first serve on ordering?? Sent numerous emails with no response. AND my husband placed a seperate order that day and received his within a week. It's not about losing the items so much, I had a back up plan just in case but the fact that they wait so long and then send a cancel so close to Christmas AFTER being told I would get it is completely unacceptable. Will NOT shop online with them again.
Best buy cellphone insurance
I purchased my verizon cell phone from best buy july 2010 with the insurance plan for 9.99 a month. They had my credit card information so they could automatically deduct the 9.99 from my account monthly, I received a call around june of this year stating that they had a 'glitch' in the system and they hadn't been deducting the monthly payment. I could update my card info and not be backcharged for the months that weren't billed. I called and set up the payment to be deducted from my debit card. I had the 9.99 deducted, as well as an additonal 9.99 and 19.98 on the same day under 3 seperate transactions. I noticed the withdrawls and immediately contacted the customer service number that had originally called me. They said it was another 'glitch' and that they would have my money refunded within 7-10 days. This was on june 22nd. I have since contacted the same customer service number 2 more times. Now they tell me it will take 1-2 billing cycles for my money to be refunded, and have apoligized but offered nothing to rectify the situation in any way. Today was my most recent phone call, and the woman was hardly sympthatetic and simply said that they were working on it and everyone was waiting on refunds or rebates. I find it quite disturbing that a corporation that prides themselves in 'customer service' can do nothing to actually service the customer except apologize for yet another mistake.
Best Buy Geek Squad Is A Rip Off
Never waste you money on Geek Squad support. A two year old laptop could "not be restored or repaired, I should buy a new one." The salesman lied about features, the geeks "prepped" my new lap top, did very little of what they promised. Tried for bascic support on-line & they "dropped" my questions serveral times, averages 10 minutes for a one word reply, no help at all & then wanted to change me for it. Refund? No way. A prorated refund if customer service approved it. When I asked they insulted then ignored me. They will never get another dime of my money for anything. Can't wait to see them go under.

I bought a iphone.At Best Buy. I was sold insurance for it. I accidentally drop it. I was told I would get a new iphone when I bought the insurance. But when you read the stuff I get a used one an have to wait on it. Now the used one has black spots on the screen and the battery doesn't last 3 or 4 hours ( depends on how much you use it ) So I went to the store to do something about it. I was ask to leave before I even opened my mouth. I was told I make them nervous, because I'm a Biker. Well The Chopper I ride is a $ 38,000.oo dollars Chopper. I'm real sure it isn't against the Law to be a Biker. I'm always clean. I never wear anything that has the Name of the Bike group I belong to. I won't even wear anything that say's Harley Davidson on it. The store manager told me when the first phone was broke. They don't want my kind in their store. HOW WOULD THEY KNOW MY KIND . THEY DON'T KNOW ME. I'M A RETIRED UNITED STATES MARINE. I need an apology, the iphone fixed, and if I was to decide to ever shop, in that store again, not to be followed, an treated like a criminal.

BEST BUY just lost another customer
On 12/1/09 we purchased a Panasonic 50" Plasma TV (also purchased a costly 4 year warranty plan); six months later TV crashed; Best Buy did not have "Geek Squad" service in our area (23 miles away) and a 2nd party picked up the TV for repair. To date (September 2, 2010) I still do not have my TV back. Over that last few months and after SEVERAL CALLS to various departments of Best Buy I spoke with Charlie and Supervisor Stacy in Customer Relations Dept (53 minutes total wait time) who were although very nice people were of no help at all other than to tell me that they are still trying to work with Panasonic for repair or replacement. Note: Stacy also informed me my Best Buy warranty had to be used in order to replace my TV that I would have to purchase a SEPARATE warranty plan (another $500??)- yeah right!! They just lost me as a customer!!! It should be noted that I've spent many many hours of my own time contacting each party involved instead of receiving the customer service that Best Buy claims to provide.
Best buy: why dont they stand behind what they sell
I purchased laundry (lg)products from them and after a long and agrevating ordeal with their (geek squad) and all affiliated personel,they never repaired the products,they called their supervisors,and with the product malfunctioning infront of them,and their supervisors,and all upper management not standing by their motto,THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS CORRECT,AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT THEY HAVE: So what is a consumer suppose to do,they totally disapointed my spouse,possible new customers,and other possible business aspects by not properly repairing their products,warranties,and what appropiate store managers have told the consumer. So as i understand their policies,procedures,repair procedures,and aspects of consumers that may want to try repeat business in these troubloed economic times. My interpertation of their warranties is as follows,after the product is delivered set up and they leave. My interpertation is as follows as the delivery personel leave and say good luck: their warranty should be stated as follows,your warranty willibe in effect for 30 days,30milrs,30 feet,or 30 seconds what ever comes first; Will i spend my hard earned money in a best buy ever again and have people close to me disapointed by this retailer again,no,never again

i just want to say that i was their once (Belair, Md.) and never again. We went to get some info on laptops. they were by the surround sound, tvs and etc. the sound was up so loud we had to keep repeating questions and ask for the salesman to repeat answer. when we finally asked the salesman to turn it down, he did. but it was soon turned up again making it impossible to make a sale. we left and bought a laptop at best buy. i since have heard the same complaint from others who want to the opening.

Greetings, I bought two video cameras from Best Buy and the service was poor. I was told it would work with my mac computer it did not. I order to return it I had a pay a restock fee. I lost money buying the dvd and memory card already. Do not go to the Destin Best Buy. At a previous time I bought a micowave that caught fire. I was not able to return it either because it was past 30 days. I had only used it a handful of times before that incident. I wish I had read more reviews about a store first. I will be very very careful in the future buying from anyone. Thank you
