Best Buy - Review in Appliances and Electronics category from Concord, New Hampshire

On July 14th I paid my credit card balance of 154.00 via phone payment I was told by customer service that my balance was now 0 and nothing more was owed and I owed 0 late fees etc. today 11/3/2016 I found out that my payment I made on July 14th was late and payment was supposed to be due July 9th with that being said they attached a 35.00 late fee and since July have been charging me late fees and interest on the original July 9th late fee. So even though I was told my account was 0 they hit me with that LATE late fee and now I owe them 200! They stated whether it was their mistake or not I signed the contract to get the card so I have to pay them. They agreed to drop a interest charge and a late fee but I still had to pay them 156.00 to close the account. I used 154.00 of my 1,000 credit limit.

I'd think you'd be responsible for knowing when your credit cards are due... adulting is hard. Also, the credit card is not owned by Best Buy, this would actually be a complaint against Citi Bank, who owns the credit card and whos customer service people you spoke with about the issue.

Bestbuy in concord, nh has terrible customer service. The manager, Sean cochrane is the worst. Won't honor he company's price match policy, even when asked to match another bestbuy.

I've dealt with Mr. Cochrane for at least a decade and a half.

He also helped our son choose the parts to build a tower computer. We have found Mr. Cochrane to always be professional, ethical, courteous and very customer-oriented. We have had a few technical problems with computers over the years-- as, of course, can be expected-- and he has always taken the time to ensure that we leave the store satisfied.

Sorry to hear that your experience was less than stellar. In 15 years, mine has never been.

Thank you, Mr. Cochrane, for giving customer service in an era when it is too often lacking.

Computers were a lot more manageable in the days of UNIX and DOS. These days about all I can say is, if you buy a computer you are basically building your house on shifting sand.

You are going to be spending money on new brands, new ideas and you'll be spending money on keeping them in good running order (with strange repair geeks) and keeping up with the latest operating systems.

Eventually you may find that you could be far happier spending your time reading some great classic books. I'm almost there now.
