I recently purchased a washer and dryer from Best Buy. Washer was in stock, dryer wasn't. I received the washer and after a failed delivery attempt and NO CALL FROM Best Buy to reschedule for 2 weeks, I cancelled the dryer order. I was told the money would be refunded and received a notice from Best Buy stating my money would be refunded. It has been six weeks since I was told the money would be refunded and nothing. I called Customer Service and was told they refunded my money to the bank and the bank had not accepted it. So I called my bank and they stated that was not the case. So I call Best Buy customer service again and they said that I had not been refunded and that the store had to do inventory to make sure the dryer was there. I received a voicemail back stating the store has my dryer and should be issuing me a refund. Over 24 hrs later and no refund, no call from the store, no nothing. I call the store and finally for the first time ever got some one on the phone and after 15 minutes with no resolution I was "accidentally" hung up on. So I call back and am on hold for 10 minutes and am told they are too busy to work on my return. Best Buy is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Almost pushes me over the postal edge. So still, no resolution. I will NEVER purchase anything from BB ever again.

One week after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, we received a call from the GM of Geek Squad City, who apologized profusely and offered an exchange for the broken/lost computer. Issue resolved.

Bought a Toshiba lap top from best buy. The hard drive fried - after only 6 months. Certainly Best Buy wasn't responsible for that. Called Toshiba who told me to send it back after trying to retrieve info on the HD.Took it to my neighbor computer store and after running on their machinery for 1 1/2 weeks it was absolutely determined that I could not retrieve information. Called Best Buy who told me they would send it off to Toshiba. Went to Best Buy and they insisted that they had to do tests on the computer. They initially couldn't find my purchase because they had inputted my phone number incorrectly. Finally we got that straightened out - fix the number - but actually they didn't. Days later I got an email saying they tried to call but had the bad number and needed to talk to me. Called the 24/7 number talking to someone in Utah. He tried to get hold of the store and told them I wanted it sent to Toshiba and told me that was going to happen. Instead it was sent to someplace in KY - a Geek Squad location for repair. When I got notice of that I called the location and asked to speak to the manager. He assured me that someone would call back. They didn't. I have asked repeatedly if they are refusing to send it to Toshiba if promised , return it to me so that I can send it to Toshiba. At this point they are claiming that they will return it in over a month. They are claiming that Toshiba lies and will take longer to return. Now I have just gotten a call from the manager saying that it was never sent and I should pick it up. I have lost weeks not having my computer. Luckily I picked another one up at Walmart costing half the price and having much better components. Beware - there is nothing that Best Buy asserts that is true!!!

Best Buy - Cashier Review from Louisville, Kentucky

I buy games movies cds headphones tvs everything from bestbuy. This is the second time I have tried to do a price match at the St Mathews store in Louisville and this last time I was talked to by an employee really bad just because I found a cheaper price on a pair of headphones than he could . The cashier verified that it was from amazon and said prime beside it . It was over half off but that is the store policy so if it is on a site that they should match and the same product then why is this employee talking to me crazy and after I backed out of the site he pulls it up on his phone by scanning it and acting like it is full price. Just because I try to get things as cheap as possible don't give him the right to talk to or treat a customer poorly. . Very sad

Best Buy doesn't match "Amazon Prime"...and frequently, items that look the same online are NOT actually the same and may not qualify for matching. BTW; Try asking Amazon to price match Best Buy sometime! SMH

Treated like garbage | Best Buy review from Louisville, Kentucky

I had an issue with an employee and was told to speak with Martin the GM. He was not in that day so I had to wait. Turned out I had another issue, this time a geek squad repair wasn't actually repaired. I spent an hour talking in circles with Sean the assistant manager and finally landed on a compromise. I then asked if Martin was in, I was told he was on a call but would be out in 20 mins. 45 mins later Sean went in and spent 5 mins telling my story. Martin came out and told me I interrupted his call and should not have waited for him. He does not have time to deal with customers. I tried to explain, he cut me off and said he would not hear the story again he trusts his assistant manager and that's that. I was directed to 800 best buy. This was the most disrespectful experience I have ever had with a retailer. Best buy in Florence KY is consistently a horrible place to shop. My advice to everyone is avoid the headache and shop online. Also I suspect most if not all positive reviews are fake and done by employees.

GM's are very busy persons, and do rely on the AMs. But, if a customer specifically asks to speak with the GM, most GMs will comply and deal with the situation.

Your experience is inexcusable.

Dec 17... Probably they were all getting burnt out. BB stores are very lean during the season and they work long hard hours.

Not an excuse, but most likely the reason.

The sad fact is that BB just can't deal with all employees, and BB just doesn't care. They know that there are replacement customers coming into the system to replace disappointed customers.

Purchased laptop from best buy online and was not working right so took it in the store and was going to get another one. They had none so I told cashier I would just keep the item and not listening to what I said she returned item anyway. Not only returned the item,but she put the money back on someone elses credit card. Said nothing they could do. Said I had to call my bank. Hello wasn't even refunded to my card. So someone out thete has 264.00 on the credit card.cause I don't have it. Even manager woulnt talk to me.

Did the employee scan someone else's receipt? That's the only possible way that could have happened.

Even then, the other person's receipt would have to have the exact same SKU listed.

Their system won't allow it any other way. Something doesn't sound right about your complaint.

Return Policy! Buyer Beware! | Best Buy review from Louisville, Kentucky

For my birthday my daughter purchased a TomTom GPS for me from Best Buy in March 2013. I decided I did not need the GPS and tried to return it along with the receipt and I was told there was a 15 day return policy. I believe this is completely rediculous and I filed a complaint with the BBB. The BBB responded and got in touch with BestBuy but Beat Buy stood firm and refused to return my $127.19 or issue a store credit. I am certain if this item had been purchased from any other store I would have been able to get a refund.I will not shop at Best Buy again due to this 15 day return policy of theirs.anyone that is in the market for electronics do your self a favor and stay away from Best Buy because if something happens and you need to return the item,you will be stuck with it like I am. Buyer Beware!!!

actually, you would have had only a certain amount of time to return that GPS at just about any retail store. it sounds like you either don't care about the gifts you receive or your family is pretty bad at knowing what to get for you. but I'm so sorry that stores have return policies so they don't get screwed over.

you return it, I think 15 days is more then enough time.

I think a person should know within 15 days if they

want to keep the product or not.

Six months age 6-14-11, I purchased a HP laptop at Best Buy with a"Black Tie" warranty. The screen went completely blank just out of the blue. I was so upset I took it right away to Geek Squad at the Best Buy where I purchased the laptop. After waiting for 25 minutes someone finally waited on me (all along he was in the area just looking around and not busy). He looked at the screen and said mother board is out and would have to be sent away to be repaired. Without any other testing he said it would take up to 4 weeks to get it back! He offered no I'm sorry for your inconvenience, in fact he talked down to me the whole time. I explained I was starting my master's program the next day and needed my computer ASAP. He called his manager(another joke). I ask for some kind of loaner computer and he had the nerve to tell me go over to the computer dept and BUY another one!!! I said I can't afford to buy another computer and this kid with two pierced ears with black plugs told me"sorry your can't afford to do that"! I went ballistic ....how dare he talk to a customer who just spent over $1300. on a 6 months old computer with such disrespect ?? Never, never go to Best Buy

Having the same problem with Geek Squad with an Asus laptop purchased in april 2011 with "black tie" warranty. I have had it in 6 times and they claim 3 times it was software related but it only had the pre-installed software the unit came with.

They replaced motherboard once, touchpad once & now touchpad is not working again & will not connect via wifi...still Best buy will not call it a lemon and they have had it in repair more than I've had it. I did have to buy another laptop while waiting for their *** service to fix it as my old 5 year old laptop was on it's last legs & I need it for business.

In future I will contact manufacturer directly and NEVER purchase thru Best Buy again. :(

Always keep your old computer up and running when purchasing a new one until you are certain the new one works. I have replaced my laptop about every 4 to 5 years but I always keep the old one and keep it updated in case the new one breaks, then I have a back-up.

You have no respect for the customer, your response missed the point the lady is trying to make. Why 25 minutes delay for giving such a lousy diagnostic?

Why 4 weeks turnaround time?

Why the ironic statement "I'm sorry you can afford to buy a new one?

I work for a company that repair parts for Geek Squad, and they demand a 1 day repair time!! Why are they/you so inefficient as to ask a customer to wait 4 weeks?

Let me see if I'm understanding this correctly: You bought a computer and a warranty. Your computer needs repair and Best Buy is fixing it as per the agreement.

Best Buy is not a computer rental store, so obviously they wouldn't have a loaner. I don't know any business that gives out loaner computers. If I have this correctly, your complaint is completely invalid. Best Buy is living up to their end of the deal that you agreed to.

The only issue that I see you have left is you don't think people should be able to pierce their ears and you obviously have some grudge against young adults.

You told him you couldn't afford a new computer and he said he was sorry you couldn't afford to do that. How was that rude?

I understand you feelings about Best Buy I was told Lemon rule fox not repaired by 3rd try will replace item. If extended warranty plan has been renewed then you have to wait 30 days for part not to show up before item will be replaced. good luck john
