I purchased an over-the-range microwave online, and paid nearly the same amount for installation.
Round 1: Installer removed my old one, then refused to install the new one. Told me cabinet was too low, against code, have it moved.
Left wrong new appliance, had to come back and exchange it because his next customer’s item was sitting in my family room.
Round 2: Contractor came, moved my cabinet and outlet, objecting it was the perfect height, within code. Now one cabinet 3” higher. Waited 2 more weeks for install, came home to find the microwave installed flush to the adjacent wall, unable to open more than 4”. He KNEW, because he put the turntable in there.
Left before adult daughter could check it.
Round 3: 4 CSRs hung up when I described my issue after a total of 4 hours on hold.
Round 4: Yet to come. I plan to hold the installer hostage until done to my satisfaction.
Never purchase Best Buy installation.
