A nightmare with lies and delays | Best Buy review from Atlanta, Georgia

I'm over it with the incompetents at Best Buy. I ordered a Whirlpool washer/dryer and was told it would be 4 weeks, as it was backordered. I foolishly accepted that delay and I had a delivery date. I was told I would get an email before the delivery date confirming the delivery. I got no email. I called today (Saturday) re: the delivery on Monday. I was told so many different things by 7 different people over the course of 2 hours 34 minutes on the phone today, including one supervisor, that my head is still spinning. I am certain I was lied to by at least two of them, as 2 other gave completely opposite info. I don't believe anyone. My fourth call seemed promising, but the call was disconnected after 50 minutes on the phone and the next person tried to be a hero and failed. No one is able to help me or fix the delay. The problems are all internal, but I am the victim. My credit card has been charged, but I have no items. The supervisor confirmed the fourth person's offer to give me a 10% discount, but I will only believe that when I see it. The fifth call ended up with a delivery date with yet another 10 day delay. Earlier today it was only a one day delay. Waiting 43 days for a budget Whirlpool washer/dryer is just egregious. But it is the lies and the time suck that really have me livid. Never again will I do business with these inept, lying flakes.

I went to Best Buy in Fultondale, Al. No one would help me. I finally walked around the store loudly saying how much I hated Best Buy & how no one would assist me. I finally got help but the item I needed was not on the shelve. The young man helping me grudgingly went to look it up in the computer. He found the item but it had to be ordered in. He said I had to pay before he ordered it. I said fine I had cash. He said they didnt take cash only credit card (is that even legal?)! I told him I could have ordered it online & had it delivered to my house if I wanted to pay by credit card. No cash accepted he said. I left. I drove 45 minutes to get to the store then spent at least 30 minutes mostly tring to get a clerk to help me. Total waste of time. I hate Best Buy!!

At Best Buy out of the box can mean returned, completely marked down to be clearance priced out, ancient technology, etc. I never buy out of the box at Best Buy, way too risky with them!

I bought a stove from Best Buy and they had Spirit Delivery deliver it. They broke granite counter top when installing. Did not mount to wall or level the stove. Put a pot of water on and it slid forward. They are now denying claim because of delivery ticket which was signed out in driveway because they said it had to be inspected before bringing in house. I bought stove from Best Buy and made agreement with THEM to have delivered and installed. The men took pictures and said they were sorry after they were confronted. Were not going to say a word.

Best Buy - Verizon Cell Phone Review from Norcross, Georgia

Sergio at the Perimeter Best Buy in Georgia has successfully and completey ruined my opinion of all Best Buy stores. I went in to get a new Verizon cell phone. I told him to start with that i WAS NOT INTERESTED in a payment plan. I would rather get contract price or just pay for it outright. He would not allow me to do either one. He just refused to sell me what i wanted. I wound up leaving with what HE WANTED ME TO HAVE!! I complained to Verizon, but when Verizon tried to get involved with the manager to resolve the issue, no one would help her either! I'm disgusted with your "used car salesman" tactics. I wont make the same mistake again!

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 I entered Best Buy in Valdosta, Ga. to return a television I purchased and received slow, bad service! They treated me as if I had stolen the television, after being told by an employee at the store, that Best Buy is the manufacturer of this product ('39' Insignia flat screen tv, Model # NS-39D400NA14)that has stop working completely!!! I was told that I get another brand of equal value, later was told I had to have my receipt because that model was deleted! And I needed proof of purchase. I was told by the manager that they had looked for that model number and could not find it, then she can back and told me that many was purchased and the only one with that model number was with a card, previously I told Lanaia that I was not sure and she scanned my card and said it was not my card, when it was my debit card. They went in the back and start whispering and came back and stated , without the receipt I am not going to help you! Goodbye! I asked if I could have some assistance taking the tv out, because my bad back and they stated no! And that I needed to leave! The manager called the police and filed a criminal do not re-enter the store against me, just for asking for assistance with one of their products! I was not threatening nor was I acting in a threatening manner. Then the man of the store stated you need to leave, when I asked for the main office number! I felt like I was ripped off and lost my money and told who cares! After she plunged the tv at me on the counter stating not able to help you, good-bye!!! I stated you're a real witch! After being treated so badly! They had me wait over an hour and a half, giving me the run around and I could see what they were doing, telling me that there were not purchase with that model number. when in fact I went home and pulled the purchase from my debit card and had no problem pulling it up. Lana scanned my card and I know she pulled up my information, but , they continued to state they had no purchase with that number. Looking at me like I stole the tv!! I am very upset and disappointed that I even purchased from this store! I have over 50 complaints with the same item. There is too many problems, complaints and unfair treatment of customers! How do you plunge a TV at someone? They're not gonna tell you to not come back and file a do not re-enter order against you just for asking for help to carry your TV out. Tell us the rest of the story please

Geek Squad a joke | Best Buy review from Marietta, Georgia

Purchased a new dell computer 8 months ago. My husband purchased malware and had Best Buy geek squad in stall it today. The woman who assisted him said they would run a "free" diagnostic test on the computer after the malware had been installed. The Computer locked up. He had to take it to Best Buy and for $85 they can fix it And for another $100 they can "rush it". They have my work computer for 3-5 days....no computer= no work= no paycheck. Ridiculous. Note to Best Buy consumers......don NOT ever use the Geek Squad. They are a bunch of high school grads with no credentials and NO skills.

How is Best Buy supposed to fix this with you at your house? They can't activate the jetpack from your house.

They asked you if you wanted them to activate it and you said no.

Not their fault you were in a hurry, not their fault Verizon wouldn't activate it. And no they aren't going to reimburse you for your travel YOU said don't activate it I'm in a hurry.
