BestBuy does not deliver on date promised. Horrible delivery support | Best Buy review from Alpharetta, Georgia

I purchased a TV from Best Buy and because it was not in stock at the time, the TV was set to be delivered on a following Saturday. Two days before promised delivery, received a text message stating my TV would be delivered the following day. Because of this being incorrect, I called the number in the text message (888-237-8289), and after spending an hour on the phone and being passed around to 4 different people, I was hung up on. I called back and spent another hour being passed around again before being told the delivery was changed to the correct date. The following day when I got off work, I noticed I had missed calls and a voice mail from a number stating my delivery was on the way and they needed directions to my house. I called them back and stated it was the incorrect day and the delivery was supposed to be scheduled for the upcoming Saturday. The gentleman at that number was quick to get me off the phone stating it would be fixed as he had the paperwork right there. After spending most of Saturday, waiting for the delivery and not hearing anything, I called the delivery number back at around 2pm and was informed there was no delivery scheduled on that order and that a customer service representative would call me back. Approximately 5 minutes later, I did hear back from a customer service rep. She was unable to help or tell me why my delivery was not being made. I asked if I could pick it up from the store myself and she said she would check and call me back. I waited two hours, with no phone call. I called the Alpharetta store myself at this point and was told they saw the order number, and that they would change the order from delivery to in-store pickup and that within an hour I should receive an email confirming my pickup time.An email arrived around an hour later informing me my pickup could not occur until the following week. It's been three weeks, and I am out $2500 with no TV to show for it.

Best Buy - Tv Protection Plan Review from Macon, Georgia

te Best Buy. Three weeks ago my TV broke so I called to use my protection plan. Well they in informed me that when I cancel my protection on my cell phone that they accidentally canceled my plan on my tv. Well it took a week and a half to have my plan on my TV reinstated by their back office in Missouri. Then they said I would get a email that never came letting me know it was reinstated. Thank god I called them on a daily basis and finally it was reinstated. Well they only make repair days for the following Wednesday's. So he finally came out and ordered some parts. The parts were delivered to my house and I opened the box. They were the wrong parts so I called them on Monday and informed them that the wrong parts came and their repair man was not going to be able to fix it before thanksgiving, so they had the parts over night ed so the repair man would be able to have me up and running for thanksgiving. Well I just got a phone call one of the parts did not ship out so they needed to make a appointment for 12 03 2014. They hang up ever time I call and have never had any compassion for their mistakes so the have officially lost a long time customer.

best buys accident insurance apparently dont cover accidents. I left my galaxy3 on my tool box and drove off, It fell and got ranover. they said it was abuse not an accident. by that logic.any accident is abuse. but when I took it out they said it covered getting run over or droped off a building. they said just bring in the pieces.the geeksquad manager admitted to me they lie to sell those warrenties, and also admitted they are full of holes. even after the whole store heard me saying how their accident warrenty didn,t cover accidents they still refused to do anything. even after they seen i spent over 8000 dollars their in the last 2 years. Ill never spend another cent their again.

It is clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the protection plan that running over a product with a vehicle will not be covered. Much like driving your car into a lake would not be covered by your car insurance you should familiarize yourself with the plans you agree to. Your situation sounds astoundingly negligent on your part and legally best buy doesn't have to assume liability with your claim.

Best Buy Gift Card and Apple Products

I tried to use Bestbuy Gift Card on Bestbuy.com to purchase an IPAD. After entering the card ID and PIN I hit Submit. It never finished the process and threw an error "Oops something went wrong...." On second attempt, I realized my card balance was now zero. I was logged in with a Bestbuy member ID and I could not see order either. After contacting the toll free # on back of the Gift card, I was informed that when ever a client attempts to purchase an Apple product from BestBuy.com this is the end result, your card will be zeroed out and your order will never go thru. I was advised to wait for 24 hours and if the cards are not replenished call the toll free # and they will take care of it. When I called next day exactly after 24 hours, I was told they can re-issue me another giftcard and it will take 7-9 business days. Here I am trying to give them business and all they manage to do is dig a bigged hole every time I spoke to someone. Insult to the injury is that this is a "Known bug" yet they manage to give you an option to use Bestbuy Gift Card toward a purchase of an Apple product. If I Bestbuy, I would be courteous enough not to provide the client that option or at best give them a disclosure before they go thru that process. I have to wait 9 days before I could make the LAST purchase at Best Buy or I should say WORST BUY!!! Never ever giving my business to Best Buy again.

Stupidest BEST BUY deal of the 21st century.

Bought a "refurbished" laptop, in the box was the computer and a plug, no papers, no instructions, no specs. A paper said to go online for instructions, the laptop is discontinued so there are no instructions available, nothing available, I cannot even find out what features it has, I would have to guess at how to use it, and at the Best Buy page I bookmarked for the computer... has disappeared. The model # doesn't exist now because they have discontinued the item. "say what???" This is the stupidest deal I have ever ever seen. I have used Best Buy for years, never ever again. What a *** deal!!!

This is a case of consumer education. The last 4 desktops, 5 monitors, and 3 laptops, have all been refurbished units (most from Woot or Moofi).

All work great. I research first online to see if I can find the manuals, firmware, updates before purchasing. In all cases, the discontinued products are still available, but in a different area in the support site.

One only needs to spend a little time. That is, unless it's a laptop/desktop made by Joe's fly-by-night!

Best Buy - Gift Card Review from Atlanta, Georgia

Both my husband and I where going to buy otter boxes for our brand new phones . First the sales rep sent us to the wrong location for the screen protectors , then they were out of the product to boot ! Finally we settled on one that would work . We get to the counter ( which has 3 lanes open and a line of people ). I also had a gift card , brand new never used which had 25$ on it . Which by the way I confirmed 2 months previously . I slide the card and it says I have only 8$ on it ! What?!?! I of course call and the woman from the gift card states that it was used but that she couldnt see when or where . And that I never called to confirm anything because " everything is logged and recorded". So I told her great then pull up when I last called . She said she couldn't . I asked her when did I spend the money and she said she couldn't see but that I had . What?!? That's *** ! Needless to say after arguing and getting no where we decided not to buy anything and leave . I am boycotting this store , the only reason I went was because of the gift card. I will NEVER buy anything from Best Buy! EVER!!!!!!

I a a month purchased a protection plan for my cell phone. I dropped the phone and screen cracked. I thought no worries I bought a protection plan and the best buy Rep told me everything will be cover for 10 dollars a month. I Tookthe phone and the geek squad rep told me I was misinformed and had to pay $150 . I asked for store manager. I explained how and what was said about the protection plan. He said I don't care what you were told we sent you an email and I should have read it. I asked him so I shouldn't depend on your associates say. He then said that he didn't like my tone of voice and was getting ready to throw me out of his store and ban me from this store. So beware of what they tell you at best buy if the make a mistake it not going to be rectified

Enjoy paying more monthly and higher deductible s with the carriers insurance. I have never had issues.

I typically go back to the store I have always dealt with.

But never had issues. Your gonna pay either way.

This is true no matter where you shop. Always read the terms of any service agreement or contract.

There are way too many things for a salesperson to keep track of that you can't be sure they are 100% correct unless you read the information you are given.

You don't know if the sales person started yesterday and are still learning or have 10 years of experience. Protect yourself and take the time to understand what you are buying.

Had Security Called On Me For No Reason | Best Buy review from Commerce, Georgia

I walked in to my local best buy to buy a pair of headphones with a microphone for my work, I was in my pajamas so I guess that screamed that I was a shoplifter or something. As I'm looking at the headphones an employee comes up to me and asks me if I need help and I said yes "are these headphones compatible with macs?" (cause one of them said it was windows compatible so i wanted to be sure) and he replied in a very smart *** way "well yeah their headphones so they kind of work with computers" and I just smiled and said thank you and took it from him and as I was walking away he said "call off security" in his *** little walkie talkie. I'm done with best buy their over priced anyways and always have such wanna be know it alls working for them. Its places and times like this that I'm just gonna start walking into stores with a wad of cash in my and and scream "I HAVE MONEY TO PAY, I AM NOT A SHOPLIFTER"

Bought activity tracker-can't get to work -I wanted to return and called and said can't return if over 2 weeks which is ridiculous. It has been less than 1 month. I will never buy from best buy again. They stink. They put me tru to teck support and was on hold for a while and they hung up on me. This is why I buy from Costco they stand behind their merchandise and treat their customers with respect. There is nothing worse than poor customer service. Your reputation will get around and I will never buy from you again. Change your policies.
