You don't need a branded credit card like one from Best Buy, etc. Just get a card thru your bank or credit union.

I wanted to express my disappointment in the service warranty we purchased from Best Buy. Back in February of 2017 the expensive SS LG refrigerator in door ice-maker stopped working. I opened a ticket which was never processed. I called back after 6 weeks to check on the status of the ticket and was told "ops" and it would be about another 6 weeks before for a repair man to arrive. Repair man finally arrived however the part was mailed to the wrong address AND it was the incorrect part. I scheduled another repair with customer service, and was informed it would be another several weeks to get the repair man back. The repair man did come back a second time in May and fixed the ice production but not the in-door ice-dispenser. I called customer service the next day to inform them the refrigerator was still not working properly. Today, after not hearing back from my call in May, I called to find out "as of last month we are now out of warranty" and it would be $100 for a service call. Really!!! I do not consider this customer service if the issue is still an issue. I did talk with a supervisor in customer service and she confirmed this was policy and nothing could be done. Future customers BEWARE! Pretty sure we will not be supporting or purchasing from BestBuy any more unless upper, upper management decides to do the right thing and fix my refrigerator which has been broken since Feb. Purchased tv at Xmas now 6 months later broken I purchased extra warranty as we'll Store told me had to bring it back they would try to fix it I want a new tv this broke in 6 months not the way it works I was told take 2 weeks to fix I am with out a tv now I will never buy anything from them again Poor customer service was on hold for 10 minutes waiting for manager I was told by the manager she is very busy and what do I want Poor attitude and not willing to have some one come to my home to fix I wish to have a new tv as this broke in 6 months what else will go wrong with it I have had my last tv for years never had issue bought this one to upgrade

No One Helped At Best Buy

I went to best buy for a home theatre system.I was in the tv/home theatre systems for 30-40 and non of the employees asked me if I needed help.I had to get someone after 40 minutes to have someone help me,she did not get someone.I went into there own store home theatre section and started watching a movie.One of the employees came in there to turn down the bass but did not ask if iI needed help.I left the store not earnng my business.I would recommend Compusa for threre customer service

Ok, I think I know what's going on here. Judging by your English skills, you are 9 years old at the oldest.

See, the employees were probably busy helping mommies and daddies because they are the ones that spend money.

Next time you want help, have your mommy go with you and you should be helped sooner.

Next year, when you're in 5th grade, you will learn to put at least one (preferably two) spaces after a period. Hopefully spelling will pick up for you too.

I would recommend an English class or at least a dictionary and someone to hold your hand while you shop. next time, ask for help instead of expecting everyone to serve you. if they had asked, you'd probably be speechless with how shy you seem to be.

Best buy the worst place to buy computers

in four years i had bought 3 computers a getaway , sony and asus and any of those work correctly and every time i take it to best buy they never find anything wrong,,,,,,,the worst company in customer service ever the warranty that i buy extra it doesn't mean anything,, is ok one time to have problems but i am in my third computer with the same problems and i don't understand how they can carry such a bad products and not be willing to help their customers is always the same,, this is the worst company to buy anything

I went to Best Buy at Woodbridge Va to pay my account and gave the check to a female cashier and she denied the acceptance of check because the signer was not me. I explained to her that the signer was my wife and the bank account is under both my names.

She continued to deny to take my check, so I said to her that my wife was outside the store and I was going to bring her inside the store to pay. The second time a male cashier did the transaction and never asked her for ID or something else. He just took the check and did the transaction quickly.

My question is: Is this the Best Buy policy or it was an arbitrarily decision by the female cashier. The transaction took place between 10:00 and 11:00 AM on Saturday 1/21/12 and two cashiers were on board.

I too and dealing with horrible customer service. My lap top's plasma was broken and i sent it for repair and it was returned in the most apalling fashion.

The 4 (mount tacks or whatever you call them) seemed to have been jacked by a screwdriver. The whole thing was smudged and grimy looking. I was aghast to see my one month old laptop looking like it looked. To top things off Toshiba did not return my charger.

Anytime, I have called Best Buy the employees have no clue about what i am talking about. They do not record notes and they have a lackadasial attitude about pressing matters. It is ridiculous.

I am going on nearly 2 months of having my laptop repaired. I am waiting to see if they even make an effort to redeem themselves.

If you are having the same situation with each of the computers, I am sure it would not be a hardware issues unless it is an item you are connecting to it. Or some software you installed.

3 different computers, 3 different brands, equals 3 completely different stock hardware in the units. If you have a printer, scanners, plotters, ect plugged in by USB, that could be your issue.

If the unit was not sent off to the service center and only diagnosed in store, then there could be something else they are over looking. No sure what symtoms you are having, but if you posted that up it would help inform me what is going on.

Best buy extended contract run around

We purchased an extended service plan for 3 years for a high-def television-purchased on 12/17/2006 when the new contract came due - we purchased the 3 year contract for $338.13 - Rec'd Contract for 2 years instead of the 3 years. Went back to Best Buy in December 2010 - many times - they called Black Tie Geek Service - assured us it would be corrected and we would receive a new contract within 30 days - But - 6 months later and many, many hours on the phone with their lies that we would receive 2 contracts in the mail - Still waiting.... They have our money for 3 years - we have contract for 2 years. Needless to say we will never do business with best buy again....

Best Buy does not care about helping their customers get a great value

I get really annoyed with stores that wont accept manufacturer coupons. I wanted to get a dvd with a coupon but they wouldn't accept the coupon because the dvd was on sale. That shows me that they don't want the consumer to get a great value. They get reimbursed so why wont they let me save the extra money? I'll go get the same deal at Walmart and they WILL allow me to use the coupon. i will only go there again when I want testosterone guys that think they know everything helping me find something but then not allowing me to get the best deal because they don't want to do the paperwork of mailing the coupon in.

Its not generally up to the store whether or not the coupon can be accepted. READ the bottom of the coupon....many say it CANNOT be used in conjunction with sales items. lots of times it is up to the manufacturer if the coupon can be accepted
