Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Nice salesperson

Went to columbia heights BB and casually dressed sales guy was very helpful. Let me try different noise cancelling headphones till i found the best pair. Listened to my needs. Recommended sony and yeah these are great. Given my noisy urban home this is ideal. Now i can meditate listen to bird sounds whatever. Even with the besy pair and noise cancelling you are better off connecting with Bluetooth so power stays on. Noise cancelling is more complementary with some music to block out all sounds. (Had to buy a Cloudz pillow for night rest so can keep headphones on.) PS This purchase possibly even cancels out the superlousy LG 3g phone I bought from BB that never worked and phone wanted me to enter my credit card #.

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Dishwasher installation madness!

2.4
Details
Two weeks ago I purchased a dishwasher and scheduled an installation. The install was rescheduled - without anyone telling me - because they could not locate the dishwasher in the warehouse. I rescheduled install to a date that worked for me. That install was cancelled because they still had not located the dishwasher. Last Friday BB called and told me they had located the dishwasher and scheduled my install for tomorrow. This morning the install company called and told me they went to the BB warehouse to pick up the dishwasher but it was not available so they would have to reschedule the install! This would be the fourth rescheduling over the last 2 weeks and still no confirmation of anything! Worst of all there is no one in the BB hierarchy I can call to own this fiasco and make things right. This reminds me of how companies behave toward their customers when they are on their way out of business.

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Failure to deliver or refund

1.7
Details
The last several weeks have been a horrible customer service experience with best buy. After awaiting delivery of washing machine for weeks, misinformation on delivery time, failure to find the machine in the warehouse, we simply decided to cancel that order and purchase a different machine. We are still awaiting $800 refund on that cancellation. In the meantime our account has been debited $750 for the machine we subsequently decided to buy, however I've now received notice that the order is cancelled due to inability to process payment, despite being able to see a debit in my checking account: Inline image 1 I've been a customer of best buy since 2005 and I buy a lot of appliances through best buy. This experience has been the worst possible - there seem to be multiple systems that don't talk to each other. Please kindly reimburse the money for the first washer and for this washer. On top of the cancellation notice and lack of reimbursement, I received an automated message that the delivery is scheduled for tomorrow morning and the message comes on my work phone despite my having called repetitively to establish my cell phone or my husbands cell phone as the contact number. Please help resolve this absolutely bizarre experience. I never complain, I am a reasonable, calm, accepting person, but this has gone too far. I have a job and a family and this has taken by now upwards of 10 hours of time.

Best Buy - Geek Squad Computer Repair Service Review from Washington, District Of Columbia

1.0
Details
Went into store to get computer repair and I was with wife because we needed a new microwave. She picked out microwave while I went to geek squad to drop off computer tower. Geek told me that even though the store was almost empty I would have to come back when I had gotten an appointment. So we did not purchase microwave and left. The only reason I had left to shop there was to get repair service. Now that they will not talk to you if you are in Best Buy and carting a heavy computer around. In the Apple Store you can make an appointment or get on que when you enter store but at Best Buy they always come up with ways to make to store experience worst each time you visit. So next computer is not coming from Best Buy neither is 4K TV.

Actually that is true. Best Buy hired a third party to deliver your fridge which means it is that company's insurance which is supposed to cover any damage.

I worked for a furniture company which only used third party deliveries and anytime a customer had an issue of damage we directed them to the delivery company since it's their responsibility/fault. So I would stop harassing Best Buy and either take the delivery company to small claims court or get a lawyer if they continue to stonewall you.

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Two MovieMates-each only lasted One year!

Purchased my Movie Mate 62 from Best Buy in July 2011, for my daughters sweet 16 party. Used it 4 times and it stopped working by Sept. 2012. Called Epson customer service, replaced it quickly no problem. Since I received the new one in Sept., we didn't use it until this summer July 2013. It worked once. The second time I turned it on, the green light flashed, the light never came on, and then the temp and lamp light flashed red....nothing. Called Epson, last week 8/2013, my two year warranty expired last month....SORRY! What!! But the first projector lasted less than a year, and the second one less than a year. Now mind you this isn't a cheap item(at least in price). Asked to speak to the customer service rep who made the decision not to grant an exception (for their projector that worked one year). My frustration was exacerbated, by having to speak to three reps (seemingly in another another country) got passed around from three reps (Joseph, Gillian, Randy). Randy, transferred me to a busy signal. I'm so exhausted and pissed that I'm stuck with a big black box that cost $600+Epson V11H412020 85HD MovieMate, Black. COME ON EPSON YOU CAN AFFORD TO REPLACE THIS BIG BLACK BOX FOR ONE THAT WORKS....AND HOPEFULLY FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR.

I guess Best Buy doesn't like money

I went to Best Buy not expecting much as I realized in the past the so called "experts" don't know what their talking about much of the time. I plan on buying supplies for school; an i-mac with the retina display (1200.00-1700.00), 27" imac for home (1700.00), adobe cs6 master collection student edition (700.00), mac sketch pad (350.00), accessories (250.00), and a phone plan so I can have a mobile hot spot anywhere I go (I do freelance photojournalism and need it in the field and for photography clients of mine), I get helped and then sent to the phone department and told to come back to the computer department and I will be helped after. I go back and after 15 minutes am told that it would be 2 seconds from a man just talking with a fellow employee. 20 minutes passes and I think I am finally going to get help as an employee approaches; she asks 3 separate people if they needed help and walks past me (I'm 23 and I guess she thought the 40-60 year olds had money to buy things and that I wasn't planning on purchasing anything). I planned on buying it 2 weeks later and buying it all at once once I compared prices. I will never do business with this company ever again because of how *** their service is not to mention in the next 2 years the money I plan on dropping on camera gear to start my business started so when I graduate I can run a photography/graphic design business. I refuse to trust a company that has such *** service with the gear for my business.

Let me understand this. You are mad because the sales person did not help you but you were not going to buy anything so they went to help a customer that had money and was going to buy something.

I know you are young but the world does not revolve around you. Stay in school so you will find out how the world works.

let me get this straight.. you stopped shopping there because an employee didn't ask you if you needed help?

why don't you speak up next time?

and I'm sure the employees knew what they were talking about, it's probably you that doesn't know what you're talking about. you were probably just buying all Apple and Apple related products without even bothering to learn about them because you heard "they were good" and "virus free"

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: Phone lines

After I purchased a dishwasher by phone, I was holding the line for installation for 20 minutes with loud music in my ear, and no one answers. I called customer service again, and the same thing happened. I called and complained and was told it would only take a minut, and the same thing happened. I called a fourth time, and asked to speak to a supervisor but the appliance specialist told me he was not available. I asked him to have installation call me to set up an appointment but he told me he couldn't do it. Finally I yelled at him and cancelled my order. Everytime I call, I have to press bottons on the phone to be connected to the right person, who just connects me with an appliance specialist who has to ask me everytime for my address and phone. I am never purchasing anything again from Best Buy. I hope they go out of business. They have no sense of customer service.

Best Buy.com SUCKS. I have attempted to be patient, I've even called back 6 times at this point, but I am NOT willing to do business with an outfit that can't their own SH"" together.

I ordered a wine cellar two weeks ago and wanted to see if I could move my date by one day since I wasn't going to be home. I finally get some guy on the phone (after I don't know how many calls I made, hmm six)! And he tells me the delivery is delayed by another 2 weeks. That's now a MONTH for a friggin' wine fridge!

I called other vendors, (LOWES) and their customer service person was so helpful she was a pleasure. Not only did she get the sale, she also had a very happy customer. I called BB back to cancel and the person that took my call told me the order is scheduled to deliver on the original date. She was checking something with the wharehouse - got disconnected AGAIN! Called back (#7) and wanted to just cancel the *** order. Can't stand incompetence. Take note Best Buy -

yeah, i hope best buy goes out of business to, screw the economy, americans having jobs is ***. Oh and I think it is *** that they didnt memorize your personal information they should know your phone number and address off the top of their head because thats info you want a stranger to know. Next time you need to buy something, order it online yourself or go in the store, or wait your *** turn ***.

Anonymous
#500374

I did not know you were so important that you do not have to wait your turn. When a company is waiting on another customer they can not tell the customer they are waiting on that you came in and you are more important and can not be kept waiting.

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: BestBuy

I went to best buy to buy a hard drive and my check was declined by Telecheck. There was more than enough money in my account to buy 4 hard drive. I see there is a lot of people that have the same problem. My advice is to stop buying from stores that use Telecheck. If the consumers stick together and the stores will lose all the sales that Telecheck declines it will hurt there bottom line. I would think Best Buy would have someone with some intelligence but if you look at how bad the us economy has become this is not the case. Just look at Best Buy sales last XMAS.

Wouldn't that be a Telecheck issue... BB can't do anything about it when Telecheck is telling them there is no money in the account.

Use a debit card, caveman. Checks are a risk for a store and they are under no obligation to accept them.

Best Buy

I had Geek Squad install a tv. After buying all the things from best buy the tv would not work. Best Buy store or corp office did nothing about it. They care less about anyone. They were rude and didn't care. I just lost 600 dollars because they won't do anything about it. Best Buy wants me to pay additional money to have a new one put up. I will never ever shop at best buy. I should have read reviews about this horrible company before I spent thousands of dollars. The Corp office wouldn't ever take my complaint
