Sales person basically lied to us about extended warranty for a laptop. Said if ANY issues with it I could take it to BB/Geek Squad. So after a month there's issues with it and take it in and "manager" says software is not covered? When I told him both my gf and I were told by the sales rep that "any" issues would be covered that's basically lying. All manager said was he was sorry. WTF? Best Buy sales people are on a level with used car sales people. BEWARE!!!

Ordered camera battery online (and cringed doing it; it just doesn't go well with Best Buy online). The box arrived damaged, broken open, with no battery inside. Perhaps it shipped empty, or someone stole it. It was one of those folded-bottom boxes you can just press open. A week of phone tag between UPS and Best Buy, with the usual dealing with phone reps. They just wouldn't understand that I had an empty box, and couldn't return the battery. They finally said I have to go to the store; avoiding that was the whole point of ordering online. Ate it, won't order online from Best Buy again.

I want to express how mad and upset I am on December 31st went the the store on 9th and McDowell my daughter got me a gift and a couple of more stuff and I ended up paying 100.00 towards a total of 342.67 so that left my daughter a total on her credit card of citi bank if 243.67 and I got a lap top charger that didn't function so I went back on January 2 and return the charger and they reimburse me 70.70 to my bank account but when we went to pay of the balance that we thought it was 171.00 they told us it's was 242.67 and we asked why if we returned an item and they told we had to pay them that amount because Best buy failed to report the return item and now I have to pay 70.70 to citubank I don't see why should I have to that money to citubank if I don't have any item to pay those $ 70.70 I tried to dispute this thru the phone in person at Best Buy and nobody couldn't help even the Best Buy Manager on 19th st and CamelbackRd told we somebody has lose money and I was so mad I told himI guess I am because you guys fail to communicate with citubank but there they just like to ROB people

Remote Control for Samsung 65 inch defective | Best Buy review from San Diego, California
I purchased a brand new Samsung 65 inch TV a few weeks ago and informed the delivery company for Best Buy and Samsung and I got the run around. I was told by Best Buy's delivery company that they can fix remote control but charge me a fee. The remote control and the TV was brand new when delivered yet wanted to charge me a fee for a defective product. It's been a weeks and neither Best Buy nor Samsung has contacted me regarding the defective remote control. The remote control only works intermittently on certain areas of the living room where the TV is located. I am very dissatisfied with the defective Samsung remote control; dissatisfied with Best Buy and Delivery Company; and Samsung Customer Service.

samsung galaxy 5s--had battery issues--would heat up, drain really quickly, and then not take a charge. Went into local BB (nice people who work there), they told me that b/c it was under warranty, I would get a new phone, but would have to send it back. BB sent me a box to send the phone back to where ever they do the repairs. This box had just a sticker in it, so I included the receipt I got from initiating the service. Got it back today--it is a refurbished phone (b/c I have their *** protection plan) and had NO battery. I was told by the store when I called just now that I was supposed to keep my battery--but gee, that was the source of the problem. Now it will take another 3-4 business days to get a battery (today is Friday, so many more days sans phone), and that was only after pushing hard to get expedited shipping. No apologies on the phone for this. I am disgusted. Do NOT bother with their "protection plan." I will just buy a used phone from eBay next time.

I brought my laptop to best buy to get repaired, they charged $208 because is the take it or leave it, they make you buy the 199 annual geek service and they don't fix your computer! the computer had Microsoft word 2010 and outlook and they uninstall the program and they didn't install the program back, they said I have to provide the disk, well I do not have the disk with me because the disk is in another country I explained that to them and they said they couldn't do anything and the same phrase take it or leave it! I thought UNITED STATES was a country of responsible people and companies, but I guess I was wrong!

Step 1: They take your money. Step 2: They say they'll have it delivered in 3 days. Step 3: They lied. Step 4: They say it will be a month before you get your washer/dryer combo. Step 5: They lied. Step 6: They say it will be another week. Step 7: They bring the washer/dryer but refuse to hook it up. Step 8: They say someone will come and install it the next day. Step 9: They lied Step 10: They say someone will come and install it the next day. Step 11: They lied Step 12: They say someone will come and install it the next day. Step 13: They lied Step 14: They say someone will come and install it the next week. Step 15: They lied Step 16: They say they will credit $100 for inconvenience Step 17: .......... yea, they lied again.... and again, and again. Conclusion: They will take your money, They will lie to you, You will be miserable. Why bother, you're better off purchasing from a small retailer, you may pay a bit more, but at least have a better handle on situation. Best (WORST) Buy is a BIG CORPORATE LOSER!!!!
Best Buy deceptive marketing
Samsung un55d8000 on sale at bestbuy.com but they don't show you the price until check out. The price was $1979.99. They are also running a special for a FREE Samsung bluray player and 3d starter kit with the purchase of the same Samsung monitor. They said it will discount your total by $530 at checkout. But when you enter the promotion, the cost of the monitor is now over $2500 plus the $349 for starter kit and $149 for the bluray player. Your new total is at $3000 minus the $530 discount, your price is the same as if you bought everything individually. Where is the FREE bluray player and starter kit is you increase the cost of the monitor by the same amount. They have no honor and horrible customer service and horrible customer relations.

I bought a computer at Best Buy and declined all additional stuff they were trying to sell (geek squad etc..). The computer was at $699 and that's what I paid with the Best Buy credit card. 1 week later, I returned the computr. The CD ROM was not working. Whn I returned the computer, I realized that the sales rep at discounted the computer by $19.99 to add the geek squad for $19.99 so that the price was the same than what I expected but I had to pay for a monthly fee for the geek squad. The Mission Valley manager refused to reimburse me the $19.99 for the geek squd even though I returned the computer (I bought a Sony online instead) and even though I had not ordered that service in the first place. 2 months later, I still have not been reimbursed the $19.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After talking several times to supervisors on the phone, making a phone complaint. I was already told 3 times that the reimbursement has been issue yet the credit card has still a balance of $19.99 that I need to pay if I don't want to be charged interest! BEST BUY=WORST BUY. Will never buy there anymore. Ah, on the phone, I was told that the store manager should have never refused to rimburse the computer and not the Geek Squad S--- that I never used or ordered!
