DELIVERY SERVICE RUDE AND CAME BACK AND BURGULARIZED MY HOME | Best Buy review from Sacramento, California
I will never buy another appliance again from Best Buy they sub-contract there delivery services with other trucking companies. The two thugs that delivered my washer and dryer came back that evening when I was not home broke into my garage and stole a whole gun safe full of guns, cash, old coins, diamonds, my life. Then they continued and broke open the door into my home stole autograph baseballs. Went upstairs and stole more jewelry after prying open my bedroom door. I have been sick for days. I had the washer and dryer returned to add insult to injury they charged me a restocking charge. NEVER BUY FROM BEST BUY>>>I don't understand why there stock is up in the stock marked.
I got the run around from them saying that my Samsung tablet had faulty software and they can't do anything. I asked how much to fix it. They said they couldn't. So if I had have bought their Geek Squad Plan, they would have only be able to make the phone...
Best Buy or Waste of time
My wife bought me a Sony camera as a gift. The Best Buy salesman told her this particular one was great. After wasting hours with Sony, I learn Best Buy sold a "open box" with parts missing and other parts that weren't for that camera. The salesman could tell my wife was not a technical person and hoped he could unload this camera that someone had taken parts from. Now it's a time wasting hassle to get a refund. I'm sick of companies pulling this stuff & then acting like it was a mistake. It wasn't a mistake.
Do not buy Best Buy Black Tie Insurance
Replacement of my laptop under my black tie protection plan that I purchased was not honored. I dropped off my laptop at the American Fork, UT store after if quit working.. it just would not turn on. After a week or so I received an automated call that it was ready for pick up but I had never even been given a repair quote so I was curious about the repair cost and called in. I was informed that they decided it would be cheaper to replace than to repair, so I was not given the option to repair it, but since I had black tie coverage it would be replaced for free under my black tie protection plan. I informed the gentleman that I had since moved to California and wanted to know how I should proceed with the replacement (i.e. could I have someone in Utah come in and take care of it or what?). He said he would call me back and let me know. He never called back. So, about a week or so later I called again and went through the whole story again and a new guy looked up my account and verified yes I was eligible for replacement and he said I could go into a store in California and they would be able to look up my account and help me with the replacement. So I went into a Best Buy in Elk Grove, CA and they helped me to look up the specs but when I went to make a purchase they said there was no credit on my account for a replacement. So the next day I called the Utah store again. This time I was told that although I was eligible for the replacement, the service center had made an error and had processed the paperwork wrong and had actually sent the laptop back to the store instead of processing it the way a replacement should have been processed, so that's why there was not a credit on my account for the replacement. He said he would need to escalate the situation through management to get the laptop sent back to the service center to have the paperwork processed correctly and he would call me back. He never called back. So, about a week or so later I called in again to find out what was going on. This time I wrote the name down of who I talked to, Shelly, (I think one of the previous people was Jason, but not positive). Anyway, Shelly listened to my whole story again and looked up my account and verified everything that had previously been told to me... yes I was eligible for replacement, yes the service center had processed it wrong, and yes she would call me back as soon as it was straightened out. She never called back. So about a week or so later, I called again. By this time I was getting kind of irritated as I went through my story yet again and asked to talk with a manager. The gal turned the call over to Shelly again who now informed me that the laptop would not be replaced under my black tie protection plan because it had water damage. 1. Why did it take 5 weeks and multiple people who verified that I was eligible for replacement to suddenly come up with a reason to avoid covering me? 2. I never had my computer around water, but even if there were humid enough circumstances to give indications of any kind of moisture contact as they claim, I was of the understanding that the protection plan that was sold to me would cover any malfunction of my computer. I was working on it just fine in bed one night and the next morning it wouldn't turn on. There was no water anywhere in or around my bed. After being told by multiple representatives of the company over the course of 5 weeks that I was eligible for replacement of my laptop under my black tie coverage, and after believing that was why I paid for the protection in the first place, they suddenly "found" a reason why they wouldn't have to cover my laptop. Don't bother buying the insurance... your equipment will break before the warranties expire regardless, but taking on the added expense of buying insurance that they won't honor is just an additional waste of money.
Best Buy-Geek Squad rip off!
Best buy's reported company watchword is: "Thousands of possibilities" If this is so why has it been impossible to get them to stand behind their extended warantee. I have been unsuccessful in getting my computer fixed. I purchased an HP PC at the recommendation of a sales person since my laptop my only computer was going to be out of commission for two weeks. (It was being sent out to repair facility for repair) The HP PC has been in and out of the Geek squad repair service since November 2010 through June 2011, over 5 times for the same problem. I was sold Windows 7, new router, wireless booster, something new every time. Geek squad always finds a way to charge for something. I was told that I had to go back to Vista operating system by factory repair. Never should have had Windows 7 installed and besides Geek Squad Folsom CA store didn't install it correctly according to the Factory Geek Squad technicians. No two geek squad technician's agreed on what was needed to effect repairs on this computer that has never been functional for more than a month. Rude Geek Squad technicians. Corporate office ineffective. Only listen long enough to refer back to the offending store for assistance. No place to submit a formal complaint through corporate. I resolved my issue by going to Fry's Electronics in Sacramento and purchased a Lenovo PC. I will boycott Best Buy and HP for the rest of my life. It has been a nightmare!
Repair unsuccessful- refusal to replace | Best Buy review from Sacramento, California
Bought a LG enV3 phone to "upgrade" my old phone. The phone shuts off in my pocket almost daily-also has called 911. I took it in for repair/replacement. After over an hour of getting my data transferred to a loaner, and after over a month of waiting to get the phone back I still have the problem. Now I am told I have to "repair" it 3 times before they will replace it. It is a design flaw. Why should I have to be subjected to all the time and fuel loss (10+ mi. round trip 1-2 hours for data transfers each trip) DON'T BUY A PHONE HERE!
Best Buy Electronic has poor customer service
BE AWARE !!! The Geek Squad Protection Plan is a waste of money. BEST BUY WAS NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR MY COMPUTER PURCHASE! POOR IN STORE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOWING UP WITH CORPORATE CUSTOMER RELATIONS A WASTE OF TIME. Although Damiana at Corporate office was a nice listener, my issue was not resolved. Sounds like she is just paid to apologize in a soothing voice but has no authority to solve issues. I was told there is noting she can do I needed to actually have 3 plus 1 more "qualifying" hardware repairs. Key word in the Protection Plan is "Qualifying". You can take it in many times and if they don't send it out it will not "qualify" as a lemon or a replacement. BE AWARE !!! The Geek Squad Protection Plan is a waste of money. It appears to be a way that Best Buy uses this as a means to get money for "backing up" the system before it is sent off for repair. Ways to sell soft ware and accessories like antenna that boost signals or new routers. this happened to me and still not repaired. Jan. 1 2011, new hard drive, New wireless card was what was needed so sent out again in March new hard drive and mother board replaced and not wireless card. I was told the computer would be scrapped and a replacement given. Not the case. Found out days later that it was back in repair for two more weeks.
Best Buy commits Fraud, won't honor no psp contract.
Best Buy refuses to honor the no lemon clause in there Performance Service Contract; I have not been able to get them to replace the tower of my desk top even though their own technician came to my home and stated that it was a hardware problem ( I have a witness) and went back to the office and changed his statements. Now they refuse to schedule an additional repair job.I have been a good customer for best buy, I never thought they would allow there employees to deliberately lie about services needed to retain a customer. I want to fight back.
My one year old laptop had a bad power adaptor, bad network adaptor. Now this was covered under the warranty they sent it out to the service center and it took 3 WEEKS to get fixed, then I finally got it back and the network adaptor was still not working. Now they told...
