Broken new Washer | Best Buy review from Mission Viejo, California

We were delivered a broken washing machine and they had the nerve to want to make us wait and have it repaired??! We just bought it! They also showed up a day early??! We had to turn around from a short trip to accept the day early delivery for this broken machine. My husband spent 2 entire days dealing with horrific cusomer service people and false promises. They said they would send a new one out the next day. We received texts and phone calls confirming the delivery. We waited a 2nd day w/scheduled delivery time for a promised replacement and it still never showed up. I have filed complaint with BBB. It's not the broken machine that is the problem….it's the way in which Best Buy has dealt with the issue.

Hooks you in with a credit card discount | Best Buy review from Mission Viejo, California

Best Buy was the closest place for me to buy the camera I wanted. The sales guy was nice. But the price wasn't great. He said if you get one of our credit cards you can either have no payments for 6 months or 4% back. Of course I took the 4% to bring the price down. He rang it all up, [after spending time with info etc., I'm thinking what a PIA why?? ;). The receipt shows the 4% is not there. AFTER I purchase it, then he says, well you have to pay the camera off in 30 days to get the 4%. I was right, what a PIA. OK, so 29 days later I go in pay it off, and ask wheres my 4%, and the gal says I have no idea, you need to log on on your pc and do that. Talk about a rip off, having never been told this either! To top it off, the credit card billed me for an extra $25 because the payment was submitted a day later!!! No more Best Buy for me!

Sorry gleasonbill57, but what you described is not bait and switch.

That you had to wait for 45 minutes to get help (your perception, anyway) or an answer is more of an issue.

You see, we run new ads every week, and there is a chance that some locations will run out of some items. If it shows up in the fliers that week, we have the ability to get you a raincheck on the advertised item. If not, we can order it through another channel, like bestbuy.com. We offer to do that first. It is within the perview of management to offer another item for a like discount, but it's going to vary from store-to-store. That is not "bait and switch" - check the law.

If the attitude you demonstrate here is anything like what you displayed at the store, I can understand why you met with such resistance. You should have taken Coral up on her offer.
