Best Buy in Reseda, California - Rip you off by telling you lies

I'm visiting from Australia, told the service guy the we are from Australia and that all our phone networks are GSM. The stupid Muppets advices us to get Total Wireless as a pre-paid service so we can use our phones. Well TW only use CDMA, this is incompatible with our iphones. If I was still there at Simi Valley it would punch those jerks in the face, I spend $110 on a service that I can't return for a refund. The sales muppet know I would be leaving the next day so he knew I was unable to return to the shop.

Best Buy in Los Angeles, California - Horrible In-Store Customer Service by Employer Sonny!

I went to the West L.A Best Buy located on Pico Blvd to purchase a new cell phone and have my old contacts and such transferred over. I must say that this Best buy has horrible customer service, the entire staff were either talking or texting on their personal phones, talking among themselves and not helping! I waited in line for a good hour before getting ringed up, having only a family ahead of me! The personnel by the name of Sonny was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and lacking any knowledge of phones! First off he handled my new phone very abruptly, kept hitting the screen buttons very hard, until I took it away from him and asked him just to walk me through it. He kept looking at his watch the whole time and asked two employees if they could help because he first off couldn't find the Settings app, he couldn't find the volume buttons (located on the back of the phone), and he couldn't figure out how to transfer any of my pictures and contacts over that were previously saved onto my SD card! I would avoid this best buy if you have any dire questions and help needed, and stay away from Sonny who is too incompetent and rude to be working there.

Gee what can I say, I thought Best Buy was a solid place to shop and had prices and knowledge to make it worth while to drive to. After a simple request about buying a simple stereo system they said I needed a home theater system. Granted I'm knowlegabe and should have just stuck to my original game plan, I was told using sirus needed this specific unit, along with other things that he assured me was gong to make it all work beautifully. it would do everything I needed it to even though we did not have internet or cable in our vacation home in Mexico. I un-pack the entire system so I could hide it in our car to avoid the typical duty Mexico gets if bringing in anything purchased here. Never the less after hours of frustraiton trying to set this puppy up, I find I need to be on an internet net work and everything is controlled by a t.v. screen etc. I was so frustrated it bothered me for the next few days that I had asked the righ questions went to all this trouble and spent this amount of money to find I can't use it in our remote location. Just what i told the sales guy I didn't want to happen. yep I'm a dumb *** for letting someone sell me this but I trusted the sales person who up sold me big time. And like so many others I'm stuck. Bottom line I will never use Best buy for my needs. Its unfortunate as I own my own company and am the type of customer Best Buy needs to stay afloat. it won't be long, I can assure you they will go under. I saw something in the L.A. Times that Amazon is giving them a run for their money. After reading others reviews I can see the ship is sinking. I should have read the reviews first. if I did this to my customers I'd be out of business in the blink of an eye. I have a few choice words for Best Buy but can't use them on this review.

Best Buy - Takes money but accepts no responsibility

When my husband and I bought our laptops from Best Buy, the sales representative persuaded us to buy Trend Micro Antivirus software. The come-on was that the first six months were free. Towards the end of August, we started getting notices that the software was expiring and that we needed to call Best Buy to renew it. The Best Buy representative said that they had our credit card number on file (I was not happy to hear this) and that the software would automatically be renewed on August 31. The charge was posted to our credit card in early September. Almost one month and many calls later to both Best Buy and Trend Micro, we continue to receive from Trend Micro the statement "unable to authorize payment." Best Buy acknowleges that they have received payment, but each person to whom I have spoken claims not to be responsible and will not do anything to resolve the problem. I have only four days left before the grace period expires so I am going to have to buy new software to replace the software I have already purchased.

You need to read the fine print on things. Everything that is "free" nowadays requires a credit card. You wouldn't have been able to get that 6 months free if you didn't swipe your credit card so you can be unhappy all you want for willingly giving them something.
