Best Buy took my oven and scrapped it two months early

TL;DR - We bought an oven and hired their haul away service to get rid of our old one. BB showed up and hauled away our old oven, said our new one was on a different truck, and when we called told us we had a 2 month back order. All this AFTER they scrapped our old oven. AND they blamed us for it, despite no notifications of a back order whatsover. So now we have no oven for two months, and no compensation. We ordered the Whirlpool - 24" Built-In Double Electric Wall Oven to replace our old double oven. The delivery was scheduled for a Saturday and was confirmed on several emails. Delivery guys take our oven (which we uninstalled ourselves because we were worried about them damaging the cabinets) and brought it on the truck. They then told my wife the oven was on a DIFFERENT truck. She called Best Buy and they said it had been back ordered for two months. By then the truck was already gone. The delivery had been scheduled for July 15th. Without any notice they changed it to August 28th. But they took our oven anyway! She called customer service twice. The first time they told her she could have had them take the oven back off the truck ANY TIME and it was HER fault (even though the movers LIED before taking the oven). They then told us they had scrapped (aka destroyed) our old oven and we couldn't get it back. The second time my wife called they offered us $25 in Best Buy credit. I finally called and after two LONG phone calls and several disconnections someone EVENTUALLY admitted fault and said that perhaps the warehouse should have waited to destroy our oven until our new one was available. But still they wouldn't credit us or give us any compensation for our trouble. Finally I canceled our whole order and just asked for our money back. So thank you Best Buy for taking our oven, destroying it, and wasting 4 hours of my time until finally just canceling the whole thing. Time to use the grill for a while.

However I received an e-mail saying my purchase was delayed when I got home after driving 10 miles to the store. I needed this item for upcoming function. I purchased a Panasonic GH5 paid cash $2200.00, paid for over night delivery$25. Three days later I never got it...Went back to the store in Valley Stream NY. Manager said it left today? He never gave the reason why it never was shipped out. I needed the camera for a shoot in LA my flight was for the following morning...Now im stuck with out the Camera i was hired to use. But do they care? Never again will i step foot in Best Buy...BH from now on. The Sale person just wanted my money period...Promised something that he knew wouldn't happen...Just be honest with the customers...Totally unprofessional.

Bestbuy: Worst people to deal with EVER. Had a 3 year warranty had nothing but problems trying to replace a broken mouse for my iMac. Weeks later I still have no mouse! They said they would ship 2 different times. They never did. Where is my mouse Best buy???? DO NOT Deal with Bestbuy go someplace else. A waste of $254. of a warranty that I never used! They do not know what they are doing! I have shredded my Bestbuy credit card...Had to make 6 different phone calls, was disconnected on hold total of 35 min . Needless to say I am not pleased with Bestbuy. Bye Bye Best buy...I will NEVER shop there again!

I purchased a stacked washer/dryer in September 2016 at Pacific Sales, a few weeks prior to their being bought by Best Buy. When I went to the store in November to arrange to have them ship the unit (we just bought a house and it took that long to close escrow), I was told that the unit would now come from Best Buy and I needed to cancel the item, get a refund check and come in and re-purchase it. I waited a week for the check to arrive, and when it did, I immediately cashed it and brought in the money to purchase the same item again. At that point I was told there were no units in stock! I spoke with the manager, Gill, and he somehow was able to locate a unit for me, guaranteeing it would be delivered on December 10th which was fine. On December 8th I called Best Buy to confirm the order and was told it was definitely scheduled to be delivered in the morning. On the morning of December 10th, the delivery person called me to say that the unit was not on his truck! He said he would call customer service and call me back when he found out what was going on. He never called back. I called Best Buy customer service and was informed there were no units in stock. I proceeded to call Pacific Sales and Gill, the manager who had helped me before, looked in his computer and said he saw 4 units in stock. He called Best Buy and one of their customer service people, Vanessa, called me back to say that it may look like there are 4 units in stock but it's not accurate since they could have already been claimed by customers. I explained the situation to her, saying that hopefully I was one of those customers with a claim on a unit. Ha. She called me several more times to let me know she was "working on it" and promised to try to contact the warehouse via email (the only way to contact them, apparently) and keep me posted. She kept repeating that she would make sure to give me a $75 Best Buy card (as if I would ever shop there again!). After 2 days I started calling again. I spent over 2 hours on hold and finally I was able to reach Vanessa again. She assured me she was "still working on it" and hadnt heard from the warehouse yet. I then called Gill at Pacific Sales again and told them what was going on. He promised to reach out to Best Buy to see what he could do and would "get back to me in an hour." He never did. The next day I called Pacific Sales again and asked to speak to Gill. The person answering the phone was the outgoing manager, Tim, who was retiring. He expressed how screwy everything was since Best Buy purchased them and with lots of compassion promised to help. He even gave me his personal cell number so we could communicate by text. Without detailing how many times we texted and how often I called Best Buy only to get put on hold, it was unbelievable. Yesterday I reached my wits end and called Best Buy again at about 8:00 p.m. When I finally got through and was able to get to a customer service person, I asked to speak to a manager. She connected me with Leanna. I told her the same story and she promised to "work on it" and "reach out to me" when she got in the next day. She gave me her direct number. That was today, and no call. I tried calling at least 6 times tonight only to have it go directly a recording or be put on hold. I contacted Tim at Pacific Sales once again and he assured me that Gill and Leanna are working on it. I mentioned to him that I would be fine getting a floor model, as I had said previously. He said they would figure out how to do that since they havent done that yet with Best Buy. His last text to me was wishing me luck since he is now officially retired. I expressed my upset to be losing the only person who seemed to be doing SOMETHING to resolve this crazy situation. I cannot believe how insane this has been. We recently moved to a remote forest area that has no laundromat, and my husband is completely disabled. I cannot be without a washer/dryer. Not only will I never purchase anything from Best Buy again, I plan to take my complaint as far up as possible. I would ask for my money back, but based on what I've seen on other websites, I would still not be able to get a washer/dryer until early January. UNBELIEVABLE. Having owned a retail store for over 20 years, I cannot imagine how Best Buy stays in business. It would seem that they should be able to accurately account for their inventory, have a true list posted for their employees, have a better customer service and know what the *** they are doing. I feel like I have been lied to and taken for a very long ride. I'm not sure what happens with reviews on this website, but I do hope someone at Best Buy is reading this. If anyone on this website can help I would greatly appreciate it as well.

I was in the market for a new over-the-counter microwave after ours went out. I found the model I wanted and did some comparison shopping online. Best Buy had the best combo of price and availability, so I went with them. Their website said that the microwave I wanted could be delivered and installed on 12/9. So, I purchased the microwave and when I went to schedule it, the earliest date was 12/16. Felt like a bait-and-switch, but I let it go, since I could make myself available for their 4-hour window on the 16th. So, I scheduled myself off of work that morning so than I could be there for the installation. Then I got a phone call on the 14th telling me that they never shipped the microwave and so they wouldn't be able to install it on the 16th as planned. They said the soonest they could get it installed was 12/27. They said they'd issue me a Best Buy gift card after installation for the inconvenience, but they didn't specify for how much. Fast forward to 12/27. The delivery guys arrived with a completely dented up microwave. Looked like a floor model that had bee dropped, kicked, and then drop-kicked. They apologized, took the damaged microwave back to the truck and said that I could expect a call right away to reschedule a delivery for a replacement microwave. I never got a call to reschedule and tried calling Best Buy Customer Support three times to try and reschedule, but each time they said they couldn't reschedule it because their system showed that the microwave was "Out for Delivery." Finally, I spoke with someone who handles the deliveries who changed the status in the system and we got a new delivery date of 1/3, again for a 4-hour window. She reiterated that they'd issue a refund or gift card for the inconvenience. Today is 1/2 and I get an email stating that my "new delivery date is now 1/30." That's 27 days past the scheduled delivery and two full months past the original order date of 1/30. And this time it wasn't a call. It was an email! I called Best Buy service and talked to Jamie who cancelled my order. When I asked about a gift card for the inconvenience, she very rudely said "Well, if you would have kept the order, we could have given you a gift card, but since you cancelled it, we won't do anything for you." I let her know that Best Buy has lost my business forever. Terrible experience. I'll go to any number of appliance competitors for appliances from now on and simply use Amazon for everything else Best Buy offers.

I went to best buy to purchase the limited edition 3ds mario edition in black for my 7yo son on Thanksgiving at about 5:30pm, i arrived and immediately asked if it was available to see if it was worth my time waiting in line.. and hour later in line, i nearly made it to the curves of checking out when an employee approached me about checking out faster through customer service.. they proceeded to tell me that the item while no longer in store could still be purchased and shipped to the store by dec. 3rd.. i then purchased the 3ds! On thr 3rd i went to pick it up! The original order was cancelled and they didnt know why.. and the refund was pending... so the kid in cs, looked and said.. oh its fine you can just pay again and this time we can ship it to your house by the 12th.. ok cool im glad he could fix it... the 12 comes No Delivery! I call a few days later because shipping has been bad everywhere and i hadn't received a text alert.. well i called this past Monday and the order was cancelled again.. so.. im really erks me that your store and your customer service left me a without the one item i bought on all of black Friday with no remorse, no solution, no alternative? The same week of Christmas.. and you didn't even plan on telling me!! I am astonished! If it wasn't available then why would you tell me it was and let me but it! I could've taken my business down the road to Walmart and id have the gift for my son.. but no..... you wanted the guaranteed sale EVEN IF YOU SCREWED ME OVER TO GET IT! You owe me a 3DS! I cant believe you can do this and not feel bad! They dont have ANY 3DS IN THE WHOLE STATE NOW BECAUSE YOU WAITED SO LONG TO SCREW ME OVER! How dare you do this! I will never shop here again and i will tell all of my friends and family in the 26 states that you are on my blacklist and to take their money elsewhere! Im a single mom.. and a army war veteran, i just started a new job, my son only asked for two things and he was only getting those few things so we can save to move after our house gets sold out from under us... do you have any compassion yet? Ordered and iPad online. Paid the extra $12.97 for expedited shipping to arrive Thursday. No iPad on Thursday (or Friday). Online status is "USPS awaiting item". Called customer support. Estimated wait time: 1 hr 45 min! Elected the call back service. Call returned 2 hrs later. After waiting another 5 min, call was disconnected. Called customer support again. Wait time: 2 hrs 30 min! Call was returned 2.5 hrs later. Very frustrating communicating to English as second language rep. He finally refunded the shipping costs, but was completely unable to shed any light on the shipping status or whereabouts of the item. Said I would have to call back yet again tomorrow to "definitely demonstrate" that I haven't received it. Then they will re-ship. Horrible customer service and supporting systems - if you can find your item on Amazon or eBay, you'll have a much better experience.
