Best Buy in Madison City, Wisconsin - I remember why I stopped shopping there now!

I purchased a 55 inch TV and a bluetooth adaptor - the person who sold me it said the TV has 15 days return and the adaptor has 90 day return policy. I could not figure out how to work the bluetooth adaptor after talking with support several times and wanted to return it. The sales persona lied to me about the 90 day policy, the geek squad said it was 15 days all products due to my 'plan' level, and the managers would not make it right. I called corporate and the child who answered the phone said 'too bad' read the conditions after 45 minutes of wasting my time. I will never ever shop there again and I hope they go out of business like Circuit City did - I should have bought it on Amazon like I wanted.

I walked in to looked at a fridge I had been watching for the last month and the price was 500 dollars off. I got a salesman and asked if it was in stock, It was not, so I asked how long it would be on sale and he said till Saturday. I walked in Friday to buy it and set up delivery and the sale was off. Supervisor said the rep made a mistake and he should have looked up when the sale was off. The store didn't help me and when I call customer service they said if it was a mistake in the store they couldn't do anything for me and that I should have asked for another manager and ask for the sale price. ITS not my job to keep asking for a different manager when the first one says no. How about your reps know what the heck they are talking about. Count me a never shopping at best buy again.

Best Buy in Los Angeles, California - Horrible In-Store Customer Service by Employer Sonny!

I went to the West L.A Best Buy located on Pico Blvd to purchase a new cell phone and have my old contacts and such transferred over. I must say that this Best buy has horrible customer service, the entire staff were either talking or texting on their personal phones, talking among themselves and not helping! I waited in line for a good hour before getting ringed up, having only a family ahead of me! The personnel by the name of Sonny was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and lacking any knowledge of phones! First off he handled my new phone very abruptly, kept hitting the screen buttons very hard, until I took it away from him and asked him just to walk me through it. He kept looking at his watch the whole time and asked two employees if they could help because he first off couldn't find the Settings app, he couldn't find the volume buttons (located on the back of the phone), and he couldn't figure out how to transfer any of my pictures and contacts over that were previously saved onto my SD card! I would avoid this best buy if you have any dire questions and help needed, and stay away from Sonny who is too incompetent and rude to be working there.

Purchased a refrigerator through the St. Petersburg store and asked the sales person for late delivery. He provided correspondence that stated what time I should expect a call, the automated call came early (I was not home) and was not within the window that I had previously requested. I called the first thing in the money to provide a contact number for 30 minute call ahead. The person called at 10:10 a.m. EST per the missed call log of my cell phone and did not leave a message. I could not imagine a business would call for a specific reason (call ahead) and would not leave a message. Shortly thereafter, I decided to return the call thinking it may have been Best Buy (863-256-1311). A rude customer service representative (Lisa) confirmed that it was them calling for the 30 minute call ahead. Best Buy's driver left a sorry they missed me tag with the time of 10:20 a.m. on my door. I called repeatedly to let the customer service group know that driver did not uphold the request and of the 3 times I called, they all said sorry, but the driver was not going back. I asked to speak to a manager and was told JJ was in a meeting but he too reviewed the issue and said the driver could not go back. I repeatedly explained to each customer service representative that I had 4 coolers of food that needed to be refrigerated or frozen to no avail. Then, I mentioned to Janet, the last customer service representative that repeatedly I had been told what the driver could not do and no one had ever tried to rectify the situation by offering that the delivery take place tomorrow. The last time I purchased big ticket items was 13 years ago for this very reason. Their customer service if awful. Janet is the only one who gave 100% and is obviously the only one who understands the definition of excellent customer care in the entire corporation. Too little, too late.
