Best Buy - In Awe of ignorant agents and managers of phone

Here my order I placed online, 508400054 (KMM1260331V48590L0K​M). a defective laptop arrives at my place. After much fight and multiple phone calls a month and half later. I get my refund. I was happy it was done with. But the story takes a different turn here. Bestbuy calls my cell phone and informs me how bad they feel of the inconvenience this has caused and they want to make it up for me. I didn't ask for anything. to be honest I just wanted to get out of these non IT, non customer friendly company. So they offer me 20% discount on any next purchase from Bestbuy. They inform me go ahead with any future purchase and give us a call and just provide us your phone #. Discount will be granted on to your C card. Ok sounds like a fair deal. Here comes my mistake. I believe it. I go to bestbuy buy another laptop and call them since I have 20% off. right away CS agents tells me its 10% and not 20% and only for online deals ?? what ?? so here's me, who really wasn't expecting anything from BB just got conned again. If it was online why would I have to call you? you just had to email me a 20% or 10% discount email. CS did not have any clue. So transfers to manager. Manager sticks to the same sorry and here the final catch. We will offer you 10% discount for your next online purchase....booom* Since this was their trend and ignorance and stupidity is their process, program and motto. I just shook my head, planned to return the laptop soon and let them keep their 10, 20 or 40% offer they come with. Such bad customer service is the key this company is going down. At anytime you want to verity this information.. BB , feel free to contact me through email.

Eugene store manager RIch, I wish we could have gone out back and dealt with this like men. I know you woulda called the police if I would have even mentioned it. your that kind of guy that hides behind his desk and talks *** until you get confronted. then you hide behind the cops. I thought about going to meet Rich after work because I know that only 3 people close down the store, him a customer service rep, and an asset protection ***. but he probably woulda run or called 911 crying I don't know why I need to enter 100 *** words just to leave a complaint. what the what the what the ***. is this enough words?

Once again I find myself submitting a complaint through a third party to a company which should have an email address for this. A few days ago my brother needed a reasonable accomodation to a disabling injury at a best buy store, he was flatly denied. The claim was made by the store manager that company policy did not allow him to do what was needed by my brother. In the first place, I was shocked. My own experience with best buy has been positive, to say the least. The store manager has the disgressionary authority to do a lot more than what my brother was needing . While my brother explores recourse to this through official channels, it sounds rather like an ADA violation was made, I thought it would be better to give best buy a chance to just make it right. It really would have been in their best interest to have provided a more private channel for this communication

Yeah, your leaving something out. Even if you really didn't break it yourself, or bringing it back outside the time period alotted, Corporate would refund you. Tell the whole story.

Very bad support in Conway Arkansas Best Buy.

I purchased a laptop computer for my business,lam on the road all the time an would be leaving out this afternoon and would need it set up and ready ,they told me it had some updates also I ask how long it would take ,they said two hours ,ok ,leave phone#and email will call when ready, getting ready to leave "no call" go by to pick up on the way out,5 hours later not ready will take 2,3 more hrs.ask to see manager no manager,ask for refund.call 2 other stores and they tell me that they keep them 24hrs to do updates ,are can do them at my convenience . Return Policy For Best Buy

I purchased a Beats Pill from Best Buy Brockton during the Christmas Holiday. After bringing the pill home and listening to the sound it just wasn't that great. I tried to return the Pill to the Brockton store and was told that they have a 15 day return policy. However, the white woman in front of me returned an item on the 16th day. Don't shop at this store. The Manager Amanda is a kid and has no idea of how to deal with a Customer. Best Buy should spend sometime training your staff on how to deal with issues. It is not about the people it is just about profits.

A) how do you know the customer in front of you returned an item after 16 days. B) what does her being white have to do with anything. C) Just because something is done for one customer doesn't mean it has to be for the next, different people and different situations means different actions by managers.

Best Buy in West Hollywood, California - Store policy differ from bestbuy.com

I bought an unactivated device (full retail price) not long ago but it happened to be defective (heats up easily and restarts). It was the last day of return and I brought it to store AFTER calling 1888bestbuy (I was told I could bring it to any store). When I was at the W Hollywood Store, I was denied of my return because of the store's policy of "unactivated device purchases are FINAL SALE." I was not informed of this and this "new" policy was not shown on the receipt as well. The receipt clearly says that all mobile phones are subjected to 14 days return policy. I tried explaining that I called 1888bestbuy and that the receipt does not reflect this "new" policy. The sales/return associate then told me that it's mobile department manager's instruction and had me talked with her instead. I talked to the mobile department manager; she was being extremely unhelpful. I told her that the device was defective and asked if I could AT LEAST exchange it. She still insisted that unactivated devices are final sale and that I can't exchange or return it. This obviously didn't make sense. So she kept brushing me off with the same reason and I left. I went out to the store and immediately called 1888bestbuy again to verify the whole policy again. I was told by the phone representative that this was absolutely not true! Fortunately, the phone representative was kind enough to help me. She put me on hold and personally called W Hollywood Store and talked to the manager to resolve this issue. After the hold was over, she told me that I could talk to the manager again to process the return. Finally, the manager is WILLING to process the return. But AGAIN, she told me that she's only making an exception this time and that future purchase of unactivated devices are FINAL sale. I'm not sure why she continued to insist her point when 1888bestbuy and bestbuy.com obviously did not state such a policy. I didn't ask further questions since I can return my phone. At the end of the visit, I'm glad I was able to return my defective phone BUT i will NEVER come by this store again. All the trouble and wait (for almost 2 hours) just to return a DEFECTIVE product.
