BEST BUY has the worst customer service EVER!!!!

We purchased a dishwasher from the Whitehall, PA BEST BUY store, and they scheduled delivery for ten days later. I came home from work early to be there during the 5-9pm window they gave us. The appointment had been confirmed the day before, but no one came that evening to deliver and install our dishwasher, and no one called to tell us they weren't coming. After hours on the phone with the worst wait times (average 40 minutes) and most callous customer service people ever, we got it rescheduled. This time they wanted to come on a Saturday night. Oh well, we need a dishwasher, so we cancelled dinner plans and waited again for a 5-9 pm installation window. Again they confirmed the appointment the day before, and again no one showed up. Now when we call them, they either pretend they can't here us "hello? hello? we must have a bad connection" or they just hang up. Broken promises, impossible communication loop - it's like a bad dream and I can't wake up.

December 10th, 2015 By CRAPRADIOINSTALL Brought my new radio to have installed in my vehicle ( not an after market radio). The radio did not sit flush to the dash board and was loose when using the touch screen. I had another company take it apart, they showed me the screws on the bracket were never tightened enough to hold the radio in place. Also missing 4 more screws needed to make the radio sit flush to the dash board. I feel I was screwed for over 100 bucks -- WILL NEVER RETURN UNLESS REFUNDED THE TOTAL OF $130.00 DOLLARS

The WORST customer service!!! I purchased TV & wall mount for add $200. I then purchased TV setup for $150 more. When I called, they said that TV mounting is additional $100, but they couldn't add it to the purchase; I need to go on-line to add it. While on-line I see the same wall mount, setup & tv mounting for $350. For the same product & installing I had to cancel the initial setup and return the wall mount, then reorder the $350 package. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes to get the refund on the installation!!! Finally a manager got on the line and offered to call me back when the refund was completed. Not including my time to return the SAME wall mount to the local store! Best Buy needs to change its name to Worst Service!!!

Open box items are often considered close outs, returns, things that got stuck with. It's very common for things products, including appliances and electronics to be years old.

They are offered at a discount for being open box, so they are considered non refundable.

I never take a gamble with these items, because I don't have the money to throw away. The only time it's worth buying items that are open box, is if you buy a Square Trade warranty, they will cover everything regardless of the age of the item.

Sorry you may think it's finger pointing but it is true. If Best Buy hired a third party delivery service to install the washer it is the delivery service/their insurance who needs to reimburse you. That is how insurance and the law works.

WORST RADIO INSTALL I had ever seen. Radio did not set flush with dash board missing screws and non tightened side plates. The whole radio wobbled when you used the touch screen.Went to another company and they showed me the side screws were not even tightened and the whole radio moves. Also missing 4 additional screws needed to secure radio to dash board. Radio was factory upgrade I bought online -- STEER CLEAR FROM THESE INSTALLERS THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING !!!!

The store in stockton, ca has the worst phone service ever, i've had Best Buy install stereo systems in both my vehicles, with the installation team headed by Julian, they were great and always had everything done when they said it would be ready, but trying to call the store to get to the instalation bay SUCKS!! They keep you on hold forever over 20 min. at a time, you have to keep calling over and over to get someone to pick up the phone, i tried for over half an hour this last time, when i complained to the girl on the phone she said she was the only answering the phones and she had a lot of customers to help, she was very rude and got mad because i complained, trying to rush me off the phone. I know Best Buy is a multi-million dollar company can't they afford to hire more than one person for their phones??!!!

If you call back repeatedly that only makes the problem worse because you push yourself back further in line. You can always get the extension to the install bay.

I purchased a cooktop online on July 29, 2015 ($539). I was extremely happy to see that I could schedule deliver for Aug. 4, and installation and removal of the old cooktop would be done at no extra cost. I then received two text messages and a telephone call confirming the delivery. Then on the day of delivery, I received a voice message that the item was back-ordered. Then, about an hour later, I received yet another text that the stove would be delivered today! Could have purchased elsewhere for pickup by tomorrow, for the same price! I canceled the order. Then, to add insult to injury, BB said it would be 3 to 5 days before my credit card charge was reversed. Strange how purchases are done instantly, but refunds take days

I had a terrible experience with the whole process of installation of appliances and changing of damaged merchandise. First, it was my gas range stove. I bought the parts needed for it to be installed, but the installer told me that I needed to change the valvular first before installing; I did what he asked me to do, but he never could come back to do so. Then the microwave came horribly damaged on March 26th and couldn't have it exchanged for a new one until April 2nd. The installation was supposed to be on April 3rd between 3-7pm, but the installer did not come for the appointment. I was restlessly waiting and calling him only to find out that he wouldn't come until 9 pm. At 9 when I finally got someone from Best Buy on the phone, he told me that the installer as well as the installation department, called to reschedule the appointment since nobody was home. Which was not true. They rescheduled it for today, April 8th between 3-7pm, but 12:30 pm today, I received a message from the installer saying that he came by the house to install the microwave, but nobody was there. Well...of course not! The appointment was supposed to be between 3-7pm today. I called Best Buy to ask for help and I spoke with the supervisor of the installation department. He promised me that the installer would be there on time today between 3-7 pm, which did not happen. So, I had to cancel the installation and ask for my money back, since I was rightfully frustrated, after 15 days of waiting for this service. Now I have to find someone else to install the microwave for me, since it is not useful without being installed. I could not get the service that I paid for which is absolutely unacceptable!
