OMG. Tried to register my new Best Buy Credit card online.
It said I had to call technical Support. What a hassle. Two different people asked for my birth date, last of my SS#, and phone number. Basically, they told me that I could not register my card because I didn't have a landline and that they needed a phone number that was public record.
I finally told them, "All I want to do is pay my bill". After being old that I could do this once without paying a fee, they finally transferred me so I could pay my bill.
I paid off the account and certainly wont be using their card again. I know there is a lot of identity theft but this is ridiculous.
