Physically had to go to store and pick up the TV. Store is 1 hour away.

I still do not recommend purchasing anything electronic to be delivered by UPS. Best buy has come around and made good on this purchase.

They DID automatically send out another TV, but it also had a broken screen. Had to drive to Best Buy (1 hour away) to exchange broken TVs for 1 good TV. If it is delivered by UPS, UPS would not allow us to open the box before acceptance. If we purchase anything else from Best buy, it will be through their store and in person.

Customer Service was outstanding.

Whenever I called to lodge a complaint, each customer service agent I spoke to went above and beyond to try and help. Unfortunately for them, they hit a brick wall called "POLICY".

Purchased a 43" Sharp TV from for our business. It came delivered in the manufacturer's box, no extra covering for protection.

Purchased in June. When we opened the box, the TV screen was busted. Was unaware of the 15 day return policy (it has been 60 days since purchase). The policy is extremely restrictive and does not take into account that they shipped the product incorrectly and so it broke.

No email to send in complaints....customer service employees are hand tied and must take the brunt of displeased customers....that's why they get paid the big bucks.. This is not a fair policy, especially when you are purchasing a large item. If an item is returned damaged, they company can usually return it to the manufacturer. All I want is an exchange.

I do not want a refund. No one to talk to that can make this type of decision.

Product or Service Mentioned: Sharp Tv.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $330.

Preferred solution: exchange at a store.

1) "Was unaware of the 15 day return policy" This is bull. It clearly states this policy in store, online and on receipts.

Also if you somehow missed the numerous advisements regarding the return policy this is something you should research before buying a product from any store.

2) As h.kitchener stated it is your responsibility to check the item as soon as it arrives. There is no way for Best Buy to know what happened to that TV in the course of 60 days.

It is incumbent upon the recipient to open a package delivered to them as soon as possible in order to inspect it and then take care of any issues immediately. Your not doing so for two months is your fault.

Best Buy has it's policies and the fault is entirely yours. This is how we learn.
