Best Buy is out of the way for me, almost 2 hours drive to get back and forth. So when I purchased an Insignia sound bar there, I asked if I could return it if I didn't like it. The salesman said something like, "Sure. You can return it if you don't like it." He didn't tell me I only had 15 DAYS to return it to the store. I don't like the product, I tried to return it, and they flat out denied me any recourse. No return. No in-store credit. Astonishing. $75 down the drain. How can a big chain do this to their customers AND STILL BE IN BUSINESS??

Charged an annual fee and then THEY cancelled the card. Refused to refund! Will never buy anything again at Best Buy. Will tell everyone I know to not shop there! All over $35.00! Poor customer service!

I went into the Best Buy store located at 9378 North Central Expressway, Dallas, TX, to purchase a laptop computer. I found a computer that I really liked and it was on sale. The salesperson offered me an additional 10% off if I opened a Best Buy credit card. I told the salesperson that I really did not want to open a credit account, but she insisted that the card offered many benefits, including the 10% discount/rebate on the first purchase. I agreed and opened the credit account (issued by Citi Bank). The agreement was that the 10% would be applied to my credit card after a 15-day "return period" for the computer had expired. After approximately 20 days, I logged into the credit card account to pay the bill and realized that the 10% back was missing from the card. I called and was told that I would NOT receive a 10% credit to the credit card balance, but rather, I would receive a "rewards certificate" that I could spend in the store. This is a bait and switch type scam. I had also visited another Best Buy location and was offered the same 10% discount by the salesperson in that location; therefore, I know that I did not misunderstand what was said.

I am really not happy with the customer service that I was provided so far.I have been shopping at best buy for a very long time but this time I have decided this will be my last purchase from best buy. I was told that my oder will be ready on 3/26/2016.I wasn't told that I should receive an email but instead I was told to come in with ID and receipt on 3/26/2016, so I arrive on that day and the order wasn't ready. This was bad customer service for giving wrong info. I had to get my order shipped to Germantown location since this store was far from the location where I live and I wasn't planning on wasting my time to drive all the way to fair lakes and go back with no item in hand. I did mention it to the customer service pick up department that I need it ASAP since its a gift and I already have waited for so long. I was told again that my order will be ready to pick up on march 30th from fair lakes store and if I want to pick up from Germantown location than it will be ready on April 1st 2016.I was told that it shouldn't be a problem and call before coming to the store to pick up the item so we can have it ready and you don't have to wait. I called on April 1st and this was a horrible customer service. I was on hold for 10 min, not even that I was told as a customer that I should wait for the order a little bit more and give it sometime to be ready. I asked for the manager and I was told he is busy with other customer and get on the phone and I was put on hold again. I asked at least tell me when will my order be ready so I don't have to stress out, I was shocked to find out that the lady on phone said that my order cant be located and she cant find it.I was at this point to just cancel my order, I asked for the manager name and the person puts me on old for another 10 minutes and after she returns she doesn't tell me his name and asks for my number and name to be called back. The lady doesn't know my name and number where she has already asked for my name and number to open my account on computer. What is wrong with best buy customer service. I gave her my info again and I asked for store manager name but I m put on hold again. When you work as a team at work, you are suppose to know who is your manager on duty and you don't even know your manager name? Then how would you know how to help a customer who is bringing business to you? I wasn't rude on the phone but I guess I should have. When a customer is upset then I guess managers take action and since I was very patient and calm, I was ignored and didn't get any help. I asked for the name 3 times and I was told his name is Andrew Molser. I will never order anything from best again. I think this was my last and final order. I will make sure I take my business to amazon or Wall-Mart, at least they let the customer know where is the order, how long it will take and when it should be ready. I wish these people working in best knew that there is thing called email where it lets the customer know that it will let them know when it should be ready. I think these people like to give wrong info and waste time of customers. I am very upset and really not happy, I WISH I had placed my order with amazon. No more best buy for me.

Do not do business with this company: Please read before you buy! | Best Buy review

Be very weary of Best Buy's Card policies when you charge for a big item. If you don't pay it off by the period they give you, they will drop a large interest charge into your account, which then adds compounded interest. This was something I have never seen with a normal company that deals with the public. The interest dropped into my account was $1700, plus compounded interest, which I honored because of my negligence. This is loan sharking practice for a business. I ended up cutting up the Best Buy card and when I went to the pay the balance off, they asked about my card. When I told them I didn't have it any longer, I was transferred to the fraud department. This is after I paid off a $2300 balance. The fraud department starts drilling me why I don't have my card and starts getting on me like I was a criminal. I did what most people would have done and I told the fraud department where they could stick it! I then called back and talked to a supervisor, and she was in disbelief on what I had went through with a zero balance on my account. Needless to say, I will never buy anything from a company with business practices like this. I am a manager in a top retail grocery chain in the US, and I would be terminated on the spot if I treated a customer as I was. My advice, Target, Walmart, Fry's, and Amazon. And being in the job I work at, I deal with hundreds of customers a day, and when I would bring this up, I was in shock on how many people Best Buy has done this too that swore they would never go back. You have heard what happened, if you don't agree, go ahead and do business with them. For me,when I not only hear bad things from a lot of people, but then experience it for myself, that is when I pull the plug on doing business with a horrible company such as BEST BUY! I hope this helps when selecting a place to buy electronics and so forth.

Not paying a monthly payment and/or the balance in full per the promotional terms usually ALWAYS means you get charged full interest from the day of the purchase. This is a VERY common thing with almost all store credit cards.

You are responsible for understanding what the stipulations are with any credit card. You are blaming a company based on your own negligence? Don't blame the company, blame yourself for being irresponsible with your debts.

Store credit cards are owned and operated by a specific bank. Best buy does not get the interest from the cards, it goes to the bank.

The only reason major Big Box Stores offer a credit card for their store is to provide the customer an alternative way to buy stuff from them. The only money Best Buy gets is from the initial purchase, the bank gets the interest. It's amazing how many people don't understand this. You should be complaining about the bank the card belongs too.

Regardless don't buy stuff with credit cards. If you cannot afford to buy it out right you simply cannot afford it and shouldn't be buying it.

i bought the best buy tablet call UNBRANDED (they are not joking it is a pile of *** & so is their customer service). Here is what their warranty service guy told me on the phone: i said: so are you saying i bought a pile of *** $200.00 tablet from you guys because you do not provide back-up software when system restore fails? best buy customer service guy says: yes! i said: so should i throw this tablet that is still under warranty in the garbage then? best buy customer service guys says: you can do what you want to with it! THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS! BEST BUY tablets with the UNBRANDED brand name are 100% *** and they have no way to restore windows on it when it fails and worse they do not care about you or the *** they sell you). so my opinion is they should re-name this *** store to BEST *** (their motto should be: WE SELL IT FOR CASH SO YOU CAN THROW IT IN THE TRASH!). hahaha lolz!

I have been duped lied too and cheated on many occasions ie. the 25$ netflix card gift card cannot be used as a gift for anyone under 18 ... i went to return it for refund best buy said not our problem netflix got the money not us i called netflix and guess what they said not our problem bestbuy got the money talk w them its been 3yrs of trying to get them to refund money i spent on gift card and never used... now netflix says they have no records past 1 yr ago and best buy says oh too bad! i recently called best buy and ssd to be installed they said 40$ to install it i asked them do i have to leave the pc they said no it would take 5-10 mins to install i said ok ill be there within an hr i brought the pc into geek squad in dedham mass only to be told to leave the pc they couldnt possibly do that while i waited ... furthermore telling me the geeks where out sick they had noone to install it i was told by the acting *** manager i was pissed what a waste of time i was mad that i was lied to then i was made to feel like it was my fault for believing they could install a ssd while i waited so i asked if i leave it with the geeks how much would it cost the *** manager told me he didn't know until they installed it saying we might have to do this and that i told the *** manager you suck and *** you lieing *** thanks for wasted 2 hrs of my time on my day off ...i took my pc and left .i will never trust bestbuy or even think of purchaseing anything from them ever again best buy sucks !

Installation of a new hard drive, SSD or not is rather a simple procedure. Open up the machine, clean and dust it(good opportunity to do so)and then disconnect the old and put in the new.

It's really just unplugging the old and plugging in the new as the cable(s) should be the same. No reason to pay someone to do something as simple as this.

i agree installing and ssd is quite simple on most pc's but not with a dell ! dell has made it very difficult to install..

possibly the piece of *** dell i just bought and shortly sent back!

was defective and thats y i asked the geek to install one that they had on sale.the dell pc was nothing but a problem right from the time i got it.mos later when they refunded the purchase minus 170.00$ not only did i get screwed by best buy but by dell too! put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Do not purchase appliances from Best Buy. The appliances were delivered on time however the person that was to install our gas stove did not have the right size fitting to install it. We were told we had to purchase the correct fitting from Home Depot and then to call and schedule a service call and they would come out and install. I called back to schedule my service call for Tuesday 3/29/2016 it was from 7am to 7pm. No one called the day before to verify so I called Tuesday morning and was told they would be out sometime later in the day. No one showed up. I called the appliance customer care team to figure out what happened and no one had an answer just told me they would assign me a case manager. I spoke with the case manager and he told me that he would try to figure out what happened. I didn't receive a call back the next day so when I got off work I called me case manager. He was not at his desk so it routes to the next person available. The first person hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a very rude woman. She told me the only person I could speak with is my case manager. I asked to speak to her manager and she stated I could only speak with my case manager. She explained to me that I was at the corporate level and the only person I could speak with is my case manager. I work for a corporate company I know how it works. I stated so you are telling me there is no one above you, you don't have a manager. She said I didn't say that. I said you are telling me that I can't speak with anyone above you. She said correct you can only speak to you case manager. This is the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Finally after going in circles with her I allowed her to leave a message and have my case manager call me back. He called me back to tell me that he scheduled another service call for 4/7/2016. Over a week later... Are you kidding me?! Oh but we won't charge you. Yeah it was free to begin with. No favors done here. They're installation team is worthless and their customer service is terrible. I have now taken off an entire day of work for an appointment no one showed up to, or even called to tell me it was cancelled and have spent about 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to resolve this. Best Buy does not care about their customers. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing any of your appliances from Home Depot. They are much more knowledgeable, have spectacular customer service and they care about their customers.

BEST BUY Reneged... I'm a senior citizen I want JUSTICE! On Dec 8th, 2015 I called Best Buy to report my Gift Card had been stolen. During the call it was discovered that the thief was in the process of ordering 2 games of war Xbox bundles. That order was Canceled, the Gift Card Frozen and I was assured that I would receive a New Gift Card Replacement for the full amount of $850.00. As it turns out while the cancellation was taking place the thief re-ordered the merchandise stealing 781.68 on the gift card, the X-boxes were shipped to him in Brooklyn. Upon discovering this I was told by Best Buy that I would receive a refund only if I made a formal complaint with the police department and only when a detective called Best Buy to inquire the details etc. Detective Joe Randino of Keyport NJ Police Dept investigated the theft during the early month of March 2016. I spoke to Detective Randino he will turning over his discoveries to the Brooklyn Police Dept with this information I called back Best Buy who informed me that yes even though the merchandise was Canceled, the Card Frozen and the theft reported THEY (Best Buy) will NOT be refunding the 781.68 since the merchandise was Sent and Delivered even though the Order had been Canceled. ...it is their policy that a Gift Card is considered by them as cash, it was used and can not be refunded. HELP! I have all the details case #'s etc. and Detective Randino is aware of Best Buy reneging on their promise- What can we do? Please help us? Thank you Peace

Ridiculous delivery service | Best Buy review from Madison, Wisconsin

We ordered a refrigerator and the first time it was delivered the men damaged a door. A new refrigerator was ordered and the day it was to be delivered they came three hours before the time they were supposed to be there. They could not deliver at the time they arranged because they were done for the day. Why is Pacific trusting large appliances with this incompetent delivery company. I am so disgusted with Best Buy I will never but another appliance from them. It is not worth the angst. Get your act together Pacific in Madison WI.
