Rip off old lady at Best Buy

My 85 year old aunt went to Best Buy to buy a 43 inch LG TV , Samsung Sound Bar Stereo and Warranty for the TV and installation charges amounting to $1132.00 on April 12 for installation of stereo and tv on the 20th. She took home the Stereo only and they said they did not have the TV and they will send her one. They sent her a 32" Insignia TV and she told the UPS driver it is not the TV she ordered and sent it back to Best Buy. She was furious and went to the store and spoke Mr. Cavalieri about the problem and he said he is waiting for the TV to be returned. My Aunt Helene who has a BEST BUY credit card for the purchase by the way told me what happened so I went to the store and a Jon waited on us and he said the tv was returned so he gave her a credit for everything except the Stereo and he recharged her Best Credit Card for the right TV 43" LG and all the services and warranty again. The TV was sitting on a pallet in front of us in the store cash register. What kind of *** is this making us go through all this *** over again so I took the TV to my aunts house and another service call to install the stereo and tv is delayed till the 26 of April. She is happy it is straightened out but I am not when a rip off is made on my 85 year old aunt. I am P.Od. Do not buy at BEST BUY. I had dealings with them myself. I bought a 42" TV 5 years ago and had a warranty on it and it broke down not long after I purchased a Panasonic. The Geek squad came out 3 times and the third time the junked it. Best Buy said because they did not deliver the TV I had to take the TV off the wall and bring it back for another TV. The geek squad had the TV off the wall 3 times why couldn't they take it back to the Best Buy around the corner and replace a TV they could not fix. Crappola. I never shop there and I told my aunt to stop.

Best buy Geek squad Bad services

I purchased a TV with warranty for 5 years. My TV went out on Feb 3rd 2016 i called the geek squad as i was instructed to set up an appointment for them to fix it. It took 3 weeks for them to show up and fix it. After they fixed the issue it lasted 3 weeks and went out again with same the problem. Since then i been getting the run around from them all i been told lies about the parts coming soon this weekend or next weekend. I finally went the best buy location in germantown tn and spoke to supervisor and he accrued me that someone from geeks quad will come by the house on Saturday 4/23 to check the TV when i called to make sure they are coming i was told they won't come till Monday 4/26. This not right to be lied too a customer over and over but keep in mind i have warranty on TV for 5 years expires end of December 2017.

Horrible | Best Buy review from Garden City, New York

I bought an oven from Best Buy and was told it would be delivered on Friday. I was called later and told that if I wanted it installed it would not arrive until Monday. Monday the oven is delivered but it is damaged, the glass door is broken, the door itself will not close, and the side is dented in. I called Best Buy (they never contacted me) and was told someone will call later. Later, I called and was told they are looking into it and will call me back. As I never heard from them, I called again and was told someone would call me in the morning. Of course, no call in the morning, so I called again in the morning. I was told that someone would call back at noon. At 1:30pm, since I never got a call back, I called again and was told that they had "customers" and could not deal with it now. So I guess that once you pay them you are no longer considered a "customer". I called the corporate customer service, and spoke to Tom who promised to look into and call me back. Well, guess what? At 5:15 I called him and was told "sorry I was called into a meeting". The end result is that I cannot even get a date for delivery of my oven because the damaged one cannot be found, it was not returned to the warehouse and I have to wait until it is brought back. So a day later, I still cannot even get a date as to when my oven will be installed, and I cannot get any further information until the delivery company returns it to the warehouse. So I paid for an oven that I cannot even get!!!! HORRIBLE DO NOT DEAL WITH BEST BUY EVER!!!

Headed in the wrong direction, Best Buy

Tried to return a device sold to me by a Best Buy associate as a solution to enable bluetooth on a non-bluetooth device. It did not work. Found out the no return policy was unacceptable. This is what happens when MBA's have no competition. I estimate my family spent about $3500 with Best Buy over the last 12 months. No more. To save on a $30 return Best Buy loses the net present value of our business for the future. Consumers expect more. You are on your way out of business, Best Buy. What a shame. Train the associates better, revise your return policy to a more competitive. Tell your managers to take the time to talk to dissatisfied customers

The return policy is clearly spelled out on the receipt and on large signs at checkout.

Customers like this don't care, I worked with people like this back when I worked retail. They expect employees to bend over backwards in order to please them and when they don't get their way due to policies at the stores they claim to spend so much money at the store and thus deserve special treatment.

Geek Squad | Best Buy review from Calgary, Alberta

I was sold wireless services and protection and was told that it didn't matter what happened to the phone even if it had water damage or the screen was broken it would be replaced for free. Today I learned it is $119 or $100 depending on the agent you are talking to plus my monthly insurance payment to fix a screen on a iphone 5S that I can go anywhere to have fixed for the same price. If you are going to take this insurance please read page 4 of the brochure in the fine print at the bottom. Any other iphone issues are covered by Apple for the first year.

You seem like a really petty customer. For one, since when does a store like BBY allow you to casually pick up a $2000+ computer and walk up to the checkout station?

Normally you would need assistance from an associate and they grab it for you and typically handle the transaction on the spot, not at the front registers. 2nd, what does BBY got to do with TeleCheck declining your check? Its not their fault...

Also, lets say there was a line of ppl behind you and you were at the cashier lane (which i doubt) do you really think they gave a *** whether ur *** was getting declined or not? Stop being such an uptight snob and get over yourself.

IPad fixed and returned the wrong one | Best Buy review from Lansing, Illinois

I took my dads IPad to Best Buy in Green Bay WI to have it restored. They assured me that this could be done. When I returned to pick it up they showed me that it was restored. I got it home and when I tried to enter his one and only username and password it was rejected. I took it to an Apple Store in IL, they told me that I had the wrong IPad. The one they returned to me actually belongs to a school district in NY! I am now in possession of a school districts property and my 90 year old dad is now out an IPad! He was just learning how to use it! Best Buy will not do anything to assist us and in fact is not even answering their phones! They refuse to replace it and they claim that on a busy Saturday, that his was the only IPad in for restore. This is ridiculous and we seem to have no recourse, as they can say whatever they want to say. I know that I brought his IPad to this store and they returned one that is unusable. They refused to replace it or even investigate what could have happened to his tablet in less than an hour.
