Purchase a Lenovo Laptop and within a week or so, the letter 'R' stopped working. Brought the laptop back and best buy confirmed the defect, but would not exchange because I was just over their 2 week policy. They said they send it out at my expense. So I contested the charge through Capital One. Best Buy is fight the claim. Capital One is not fighting for me, I should have used my Discover card. Best Buy has lost another customer. And they wonder why people only window shop their stores and order online. I went to the store for customer service. I could have ordered it online for much cheaper. Even Amazon has a better return policy. Remember Circuit City.

Um, you do realize that after the return/exchange policy time frame that is no longer Best Buy's problem. You then have to deal with the manufacturer and their warranty period, which on a laptop should be one year and this is the reason manufacturer warranties exist.

Capital One didn't 'fight' for you because they knew the same thing, that you had to deal with the manufacturer and not Best Buy. Now had Lenovo refused to help/fix it THEN Capital One would (hopefully) have fought for you.

Agreed. There is no way for Best Buy to know how you stored it or what happened to it in that span of 'some time'.

That is why new or used as soon as you get an item take it out of the box and check it so if anything is wrong it can be fixed right away.

Otherwise there is no way to prove you didn't break it yourself. Not saying you did, just that there is no way to prove that to Best Buy, small claims court or anyone else.

Worst Buy - Kennesaw GA | Best Buy review from Griffin, Georgia

850 Cobb Pl Ln NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 My wife purchased a top of the line, all the bells and whistles Surface Pro 4 (with accessories) for Christmas. She was even smart enough to get the extended warranty (total cost $2500). I was thrilled...until it froze, battery died after 2 hrs, then wouldn't turn on every time, sometimes brought up screen keyboard/sometimes not, and other problems. We took it back to Best Buy, who said there was nothing wrong with it. Took it to another Best Buy who said there was definitely something wrong, but to take it back to Kennesaw, where she had bought it. So...after 6 months of trying to get Best Buy to look at it we went back to Georgia. The experience was HORRIBLE!!! The Geek Squad guy was rude and made me stand for an hour (with no other customers there) just to make an appointment to hand it to him - NOT to fix it - just to hand it to him. I spoke with the manager about it and he said "I don't care. We have great reviews with this system. Everyone is happy with it." I told him I wasn't happy with it. Again he said "I don't care. We like it." I was shocked, but as long as they fixed my Surface... NOT!!!! I get a call the next day..."there is nothing wrong with it"! What!!!??? Nothing wrong with it? The geek guy couldn't even get it to turn on right away. He had to force shutdown. it froze on login. The battery lasts 2 hrs instead of 9 (as advertised) with nothing running on it. How can there be nothing wrong with it. What did the manager say? What did geek say? You guessed it! "I don't care. It's not our machine."!!! So after 6 months, 3 Best Buys and an uncaring staff and management - I STILL have a $2500 paper weight!

went in to best buys in Beaumont CA on 6/5/16 around 5:00pm due to a problem with cell phone. after waiting a associates by the name JG ask what my problem was once explained he said I'll be right back. once he return he told my to take this info home and do what it said to have my phone replace when I informed him I only have the cell phone he reply use the internet. I then ask to speak with his supervisor Javier who was also rude and who then told my to go to the front of the store and use the phone but he also had no time to take care of this issue. Due to this problem and there rude behavior I inform the I would be cancelling and no longer shopping at best buy. they said fine we don't need you to shop here so I will no longer shop with your company and will be cancelling my credit card and my insurance and inform all family of friends of this experience and not to shop with best buy as well

Yeah, your leaving something out. Even if you really didn't break it yourself, or bringing it back outside the time period alotted, Corporate would refund you. Tell the whole story.

Issue resolved: $164 more for dif in price of replacement tv and next mth dlvr date. This was the worse experience, I'm glad it's over.

Issue resolved: paid $164 dif between price of broke tv and new one, and TV has to be dlvr next mth. I'll eat that extra money and the wait for dlvr, but I don't see myself as a loyal customer anymore. BB will be last choice from now on for my electronic needs.

Best Buy continues to sell Insignia TVs that they know are defective! For more than a decade, consumers have complained that Insignia TVs go to a black screen while watching. Remote control and manual buttons don't respond. Our 5 month old Insignia TV eventually comes back on for now, but according to other consumers, it will eventually quit doing that too. Best Buy used to sell a very dependable Dynex brand, but has quit carrying that brand, while continuing to sell the defective Insignia brand. Your greed is really starting to show, Best Buy! Your customers may be in the market for a new TV sooner rather than later, but it won't be to your benefit since your customers will no longer enter your doors! Your associate suggested I buy a new TV to use for the 3 weeks we would be without, while the TV is fixed under warranty, replacing the defective part with a new defective part. Nice try! Cutting my losses on this one and will never be back to Best Buy.

Best Buy, the only place left to buy televisions or computers and now I'm done. Few years ago, bought a TV, suppose to double as a computer, even has a keyboard. But the keyboard doesn't interface with the TV, so it's of no value at all. Best Buy's solution, load it back up into my Beetle and bring it back to them. So my computer took a dump, paid them extra money to put the stuff from my old computer onto the new one (I bought from them) of they put the folders on the new computer all right, but they are all empty :( This computer is horrible, guess it would be a good price, I was a geek. But I'm not. Difficult to find anything on it, difficult to get on the websites, cause there is no key to find anything. Guess I'll just go back to the horse and buggy.
