Best Buy review in Sanger, Texas: 3.5 hrs and they refuse to provide the product paid for- that is THEFT

Actually have been told outright to get it myself, find it myself. 3+ hrs of being on hold and dealing with ignorant, entitled, unprofessional, rude staff.....I could go on in much more colorful words that better fit the actions of their reps. In violation of the federal trade commission, they refuse to give you what you pay for. I purchased a protection plan and they refuse to provide a copy of it. They don't even know where it is, or what it is and they expect me to go through 42 (yep, I counted) pull down menus to figure out WHICH plan I purchased. NOPE !!!! They can cancel the order and I will NOT purchase from them again. Not the company they used to be. They used to provide a PDF to your email

Shouldn't be a real disaster. You can just buy a new hard drive and re-install everything to the new one---we assume everything was backed up periodically, of course as a precaution for something like this.

I have had two hard drives go south but, as the rest of the machine was fine, I just slipped a new hard drive in, used the mirror image backup and all was okay with the world. This is how you learn about backing up computers.

Read the "protection plan" information you received in which you should find all the terms and conditions, etc. which should explain exactly what is and is not covered.

People buy these things because they are given a spiel about how wonderful the plan is and that everything is covered. Prior to buying these scam plan, you need to actually read them in total before buying.

Bottom line, tho is that most of them are outright scams which make the store and the plan alot of money, leaving the customer with---in your case---a piece of unusable junk. Best advice is to never, ever buy a "protection plan."Save your money.

That's because tvs don't crack on their own. Physical damage is not covered but thats still on best buy to cover you. Next time don't break the tv.

Best Buy just doesn’t stand behind their products plain and simple. Just got to start shopping elsewhere where they care about the customer? Best Buy obviously doesn’t

My 75” tv made a popping noise and was told it was an impact . Geek squad warranty doesn’t cover this?...

Stores love to sell customers these warranties because they make alot of money from them. The key to buying them is to actually read the information they will provide you prior to agreeing to buy the warranty, line by line to see what is covered and what is not, etc.

Never, ever believe what the salesman tells you, eg., it covers everything for any reason, etc. Bottom line is these things are usually a waste of money as the manufacturer's warranty is for a certain length of time and thus covered by the manufacturer. Most appliances and electronic items go bad within the manufacturer's warranty period. You would be better just buying an item, forgetting the warranty nonsense and saving the money you would have spent for it to buy a new item when the one you just bought breaks.

Remember what P.T. Barnum said about gullible people.

The companies that actually provide good customer service anymore are few and far between it seems. Best to find a small, local company selling what you need or want and buy from them, even if you have to pay a bit more.

None of the big box stores have sterling customer service. Do a search on this site and you will see.
