All I wanted to know was if a TV I saw on their website was available at a nearby store, which is about half an hour away. So I thought, call first. If they didn't have it in store I was going to order it from them. Could not get through to them online or by phone to save my life. By Providence I finally got a human on the phone who quickly transferred me and then I was quickly disconnected. Called back a second time, used the same James Bond extension and no one would answer...they knew it was me.... Could not find enough information on their website, it says they can't give accurate in store availability info. They're a mystery even unto themselves. I guess some guy in the warehouse broke his pencil lead and they lost track of all their inventory. All for want of a pencil sharpener. Perhaps if they merged with Staples.... I wasted so much time. I discovered their phone number is a sham, you'll never get a live person that way, even if you know the 4 digit extension you want. Trying to contact them online is a joke also. Then I started reading all these customer complaints with the same/similar issues. People are genuinely p-o'd and Best Buy has turned a deaf ear. I figure I'm much better off just going to Walmart...or probably any other store. Lord forbid if I bought an expensive TV from them, like I had planned to, and there was any sort of issue about which I needed to contact them. I'm sure I'd end up stuck with a piece of garbage and lose my money and have no recourse except maybe small claims court. Whose got time for junk like that? No doubt Best Buy banks on that. Hard to figure how they stay in business. I've purchased from them before but I will never do it again. Hit and run retail. But to me the biggest deal breaker is their arrogant attitude toward customers and prospective customers. As if we HAVE to buy from them because no one else on Earth sells TVs and cell phones. Remember Radio Shack, Lechmere's, Tweeter's, Circuit City, to name just a few? Best Buy is not invincible, the same thing can happen to them. I hope it does.

I tried to get a packaged shipped to my new address and was told by 2 customer service people on 2 separate days that it could be done, just had to wait a couple of days. When I called 3rd time this person told me the other 2 were wrong. I would just get a refund and my order for on sale item would be canceled and credit given. Long story short I will never buy from Best Buy again ever. I will find another source for my technology. I will use Micro In Columbus Ohio. They have all the tech I need and their service is great.

Drive By’s and Lack of Professionalism | Best Buy review

Bought a dishwasher and microwave. Set installation to occur on the same day (2 weeks out) even though I could have made installers come out twice to install each item separately (I was trying to be respectful to avoid a second trip to my house being required). Installation day was set for Friday 8-12 block. At 11:36, I called Best Buy to see what was going on as no one had come yet. I was told the installer was here but left as no one was home. I indicated that was not possible as I work from home full-time, have a dog that barks at everything and just so happened to be downstairs on the main floor making coffee at the time the installer was said to have been at my house. Having indicated no one called my cell phone as instructed on my paperwork I was told a call had been placed to my home number (a line no one uses or answers and if I am on my work line doesn’t even ring). I went online and listened to the message. The installer called at 9:03 indicating he was 26 minutes away. Next call came from the warehouse 25 minutes later stating the delivery would need to be rescheduled. So...IF the driver had been here, he certainly didn’t stick around to wait to see if anyone was home. At no time did my doorbell ring or any knocks occur (again, my dog would have barked and being downstairs at that time I would have obviously heard it). Best Buy said someone from “Escalation would call me”. Within an hour I got called and was told again the installer had been here. I asked what the normal process is...park in driveway, ring door bell, knock, call home, call warehouse...all of which was noted as a yes. I asked how it was pissible the installer call came in (to the wrong number) indicating he eas 26 minutes away and yet tge warehouse call 25 minutes after stating the delivery needed to be rescheduled. Per my math, the installer wouln’t gave arrived yet, and if he gad, certainly dudn’t stick around to validate if I was/wasn’t home. That for a delivery install that was to take a couple hours, he came/left in a flash. It was snowing on Friday, a really *** day, and very clear to me installing anything at my house was not of priority. The escalation rep indicated it would be impossible to havd tge install done tgat day but she would call ne vack within the bext two hours with a new day/time. She never called back. Today I called her at 7:45am and had to leave a message. Finally, at 9:47 she calls me back only to tell me she doesn’t have an update. Apparently, the installers are “supposed” to bring product back to the warehouse when installs don’t occur and as he didn’t do that (suprise!) she was waiting for the warehouse to call her back when the product arrives so a new install date could be scheduled. Now....I am furious. First off, I WAS home Friday, I was respectful to wait two weeks so both items could be installed at the same time, I cleared my schedule to ensure the installer had my time/attention during delivery and install, I was told a new time would be defined on Friday and now it is Monday with no resolve. Given I was talking to escalation, I told her she needed to “escalate” and have tge installer tgat should gave been here Friday install today. To think I am going to be put in the back of tge install schedule is not going to happen. Best Buy, either get your third-party install cendor in check or I will cancel my order. You are nit tge only place that sells appliances. Given we purchase a lot from Best Buy, it is in your best interest to put priority to this as I gave no issue shopping elsewhere if this is the service you feel should be given. The escalation rep saud she was going to make some calls. I am giving it until 2:00 that someone calls me snd if the install diesn’t gapoen tomorrow at tge latest, my order will be cancelled and you will lose me as a customer. Honestly...you can’t make this stuff up!

I was sold a computer without if date windows drivers. Computer never functioned properly even when new off the self. Best Buy’ insinuated I corrupted the computer. I had not loaded any software on it, the windows drivers were out of date from day 1; continually crashed with a different stop code error message almost every time. It would not stay active long enough to install anything even the Miss you, wish you were here. Office the also sold me. They wanted to charge me to fix the faulty drivers. Absolutely frustrating. It support I the store was useless and I was totally put off that I was blamed for the issue when alli did was turn on the computer.

Compared to J C Penny, Best Buy was like a dream come true. Every aspect of my experience with them was great! They shipped my new refrigerator quickly and efficiently. Too bad they are getting bad reviews. I was lucky, I guess. But their service was absolutely great! The delivery men were very professional, polite, courteous, all that good stuff. They did not rush me or act impatient while I took my time to see that the refrigerator was working properly. J C Penny's guys opened the door, saw the light on, said sign here and were gone in two heartbeats even though I said "I don't hear the motor." I was stuck with that non-working unit for days and it cost me a lot of dollars worth of damage not to mention all the frustration. They ARE experts at phone tag, though. I got shifted from one customer service rep to another countless times. Even though I asked for a manager, I never got one. I would shop with Best Buy over J C Penny any day! I am very pleased with my new refrigerator.

Best Buy Delivery Sucks

This review is for Best Buy’s Delivery service (or lack thereof). I had a LG washing machine delivered to my house. When they unpackaged it, there was a HUGE dent in the machine. What kind of quality control is going on at the Best Buy delivery center where they allow a brand new machine to get delivered with such obvious damage??? Obviously I did not accept delivery and had them take it back. When I called to re-schedule a delivery, I was told that they can’t re-schedule for at least 24-48 hours later (after the original order has returned). Now, you would think that in today’s world and modern technology, they would instantly know that I did not accept delivery due to the product being damaged and that they would instantly reschedule. Nope! We called the store manager at Best Buy only to be told that I have to call the delivery center. Not very helpful! After calling the delivery center, I spoke with a very unapologetic woman who pretty much said that is best Buy’s policy! What? After I spend almost $1,500, and I’m delivered a damaged product, you can’t first re-schedule a delivery time for 2 days, which means another 4-5 days before they can redeliver!!! FRIGGIN UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Meanwhile, I’m stuck at home with an old washing machine that doesn’t work. My advice: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY THAT NEEDS TO BE DELIVERED!!!

Did not honor "Price Match Guarantee." | Best Buy review from Apple Valley, California

Details
On October 21st, Saturday, my washer of 4 years stopped working. I needed a new washer and wanted to match the dryer I already had. I went to Home Depot and found the washer I was looking for, and it was even on sale!! I talked to a female sales lady who was very nice and offered to have it delivered to my house on Wednesday because they did not have this item in stock at the store. NOPE. That would not work. I had the pickup and I needed it today. I explained this and to my dismay she called a store competitor, Midway Appliance. She verified they had one in stock and advised them of Home Depot's sales price. While on the phone she verified that Midway would honor that price. This was great, but Midway was clear across town at least 25 minutes one way and did I mention it was Saturday. I really didn't want to spend time running across town for a washer. But wait there was hope, because I was on my phone online while the Home Depot lady was talking to Midway. Best Buy which was right across the street showed they had the exact same washer in their inventory. Home Depot lady was great, confirmed I was good to go to Midway and they were waiting. But I didn't owe Midway anything and ultimately I could save almost an hour of time going right across the street to Best Buy. I went straight to Customer Service and spoke with a lady in Best Buy. I asked, "confirm you guys price match guarantee?" Reply was absolutely. I explained I was after a washing machine and it showed it was in stock. She directed me to the appliances and said a sales person would be there. I went to the area, found the display model which was $108.00 more then Home Depot had it on sale for. Now here is where things started going bad. 15 minutes later no one had come to help me, so I went back to the front counter and told the lady I was still waiting. This time she called someone via walkie-talkie and told me they were on the way. A gentlemen showed up, true salesmen, who listened to my need for a washer and immediately tried to sell me a dryer too. Had to do his job. Right? I am ok with that and told him I already had the matching unit. I confirmed they price matched and he replied affirmative. I told him I went on line and it showed one in stock. He politely said he needed to check their inventory system because online was not always accurate. 13 minutes later he told me that it was in fact correct and showed one in the store. (Now remember, I said I didn't want to drive 25 minutes one way, so I am watching the time and getting frustrated.) NOW, he told me that he needed to verify that it was in the store physically. Whew. Ok. Not much choice here, but wait. While waiting, can you point me towards the Roku's, a streaming digital media player. The salesmen was off and I was heading in the direction he sent me. Now, this is minor, but truly makes a big deal here. You got to give me a moment to explain too. I was buying a $639.00 washer, on sale for $531.00. Of course I want to save money, but I wasn't buying a used washer, or even the $300 - $400 range models. Now standing in front of the Roku's, I saw they had a variety from cheap to the best. ($29, $39, $59, $69 or 79 and then $99.) The only one in a large box was the $99.99 model and it had one of those wrap around security wires on it to prevent theft. Just by looks you could tell which model I had picked up. I grabbed that box and headed back up to the appliance area. Please remember the sales guy just went to verify it was now physically in stock. 8-10 minutes later he showed back up and stated he found it in the back. He then told me he couldn't find it online at Home Depot for the price I told him. Ha..... I smiled. I not only took a photograph of the price tag and model number at Home Depot, I also got the name of the sales lady that had called Midway for me over an hour ago. Should have followed karma and went to Midway. Would already be home now. I forwarded the picture via text message to the salesmen's phone and off he went to find the General Manager. About 10-12 minutes later he came back stating the GM was with another customer and would be back soon. The salesmen made a comment about the Roku in my hand, stating "I see you found it." Remember it's the expensive one. A few minutes later he left again and was gone for over ten minutes. Now I have completely lost track of time, my friend who is with me is starting to complain because everything is just taking so long and stated we could have been back home by now. The salesmen comes back, and implies, that he doesn't believe the advertised price from my picture, as I go to interject and state I have her name and number for you to call Home Depot, he states that they (Best Buy) would not be able to give me the washer for that price. But the GM told the salesmen that he could take $50.00 off the price of $639.00. Remember what I said, I was holding another item for $100 and the salesmen knew this. He told me $50.00 was a good deal. I asked about the price match guarantee, to which I was told they have to be able to verify it, and he doesn't know what type of promotion Home Depot has with Samsung to get such a price. (Yet Midway was going to honor it right away.) I interrupted him politely and asked if he would be able to put the Roku back on the shelf. The next 25 minutes driving to Midway was a venting session for sure. My mom probably wouldn't have agreed with the choice of words used. I was upset. In closing, I got a better model at Midway and the whole process from walking in and walking out took all of 15 minutes. Now it is 4 days later and I intentionally avoided sending such a complaint because that's not really what I do. I needed time to calm down and see how upset I really was. But Best Buy completely failed in every aspect of what they promise to do. Sadly, I will now drive further, regardless if Best Buy has the lowest price because not only did they not honor their statement, they were very in-efficient to verify the item was in the store, ( over an hour) and then lastly didn't even recognize I was going to spend more money on something else. What type of GM do they have? In the long run, that $58 loss would have been made up greatly over time. Oh well. I still like Midway and Home Depot.

I purchased an item in mid Sept., 2017 from Best Buy. Returned it a little over the 15 days refund time allowed. Given a store credit which I accepted. Placed an online order in store for the item actually wanted. Also gave my new address. Item was shipped to old address and I went through a series of phone calls to Best Buy trying to resolve the issue. During my first call to Customer Service I was on hold waiting for a rep. and when I finally spoke with one was put on hold again. Rep. came back and stated he couldn't resolve the issue and that I would have to go back into the store. Asked for a supervisor, but was connected to the store. I asked for a manager and explained the issue and was told the address wasn't changed online, but he would change it and attempt to get the item to me. Waited several days, but it didn't show up. Called what I though was best Buy Corporate office and end up getting connected to customer service. Rep. tracked the order down and informed me it was sent back to the warehouse and couldn't be reshipped. I was offered a refund on my card and a $40 gift certificate for my trouble. Again I waited for the refund and it never showed up in my account. Called again and the rep. stated she would fast track it in 24 hrs. and that didn't happen. On 10/24/17 called again spoke with a rep. that stated it may take 30 days due to the billing cycle. Asked for a supervisor and finally spoke with someone that seemed to be able to come to a resolution. He told me the store for some reason did an override which wouldn't allow for a refund. I should note none of the previous reps. stated that. Now I was offered a gift card in the amount of the item plus an additional $10. Call after call after call about something that wasn't my fault. Given wrong info. time and time again. In the end all I get is an apology , no refund and on the 10/24/17 call $10 for my trouble. I've concluded Best Buy policies are among the worst in retail. They have a poor refund policy, take longer to ship items and issue refunds. In my case they made mistake after mistake and had no system in place to get a cash refund. I know I'm not the only one that have had those type of dealings with Best Buy. Many competitors offer better customer service and refund policy.

Never again Best Buy woodside

Went in to this location because I had some time to waste. Bought a google home mini. Sales person sold me- so easy to set up. Will have the Google sales person come to talk to you. 20 min later he says oh he must be on a break. So I just bought it with out any idea that if you have apple devices you will have to jump through hoops to get it up and running (w/o success.) actually messed up my lap top., now dead. So it's going back tomorrow - u made your sale. But never again will I have anything Google or shop at Best Buy woodside / LIC . This is the reason people avoided Best Buy before they almost went out of bussiness .
