Buyers Beware of the 15-day return policy!!! | Best Buy review

I have been spoiled by most places I shop having 30-90 days return policy (some even lifetime whenever you're unhappy) so didn't look close enough (my fault!). Not to mention everything was handle online so there is no "receipt" to look at closely. Came to find out the 15-day return policy when I thought about returning the purchase 3 weeks after purchase (still brand new in box). Again, thought I would have at least 30 days. When going back online to find the receipt and start the return process, the product icons showed as ineligible for return. Lesson learned!! Will never shop at Best Buy again!!!!!! Buyers beware!!!!!!

1) "Was unaware of the 15 day return policy" This is bull. It clearly states this policy in store, online and on receipts.

Also if you somehow missed the numerous advisements regarding the return policy this is something you should research before buying a product from any store.

2) As h.kitchener stated it is your responsibility to check the item as soon as it arrives. There is no way for Best Buy to know what happened to that TV in the course of 60 days.

Frustrating Best Buy return policy

Details
Unable to return five sealed Cd's purchased as a gift beyond the 15 day original purchase date. Contacted BestBuy.com and representative said he couldn't issue refund or return because of return policy. I went up the management level and team leader still denied return. Stuck with 5 brand new CDs I'll never use.

Unable to track order | Best Buy review from Concord, California

I purchased at the store for shipment to house. After 1 week after was suppose to arrive went to website to track order. First not recognize my email address so had to reset password. Tried to reset password - said not recognize email address (again) and had to create new account - but email not give instructions to do that and unable to find anywhere on website. Finally able to sign in as guest and (surprise) was able to determine UPS tracking number. Then taken via a link to UPS website - but they would not give me any information without (ready for this) an email address and a password. Tried to call the store but after multiple rings no answer which I had run into often before. So guess I can wait until after return policy expires and hope package arrives just late. Unfortunately in my area it is buy from Best Buy only in want to shop in person.

Actually, no the barcode cannot tell them it was purchased in a store. What you are referring to is a SEREIAL NUMBER.

A serial number is a unique number on items like computers that individually identifies them. All that a barcode does is tell the computer what product it is and how much to charge, that is it. The barcode does not tell anyone where an item was purchased or even if was purchased or stolen or given away.

So that is why Best Buy needs the receipt, to tell them YOU actually purchased this item because they have no way of knowing otherwise. How long have you been shopping in retail and not known how a barcode works?

Payment to zero my account was made in January 2017. The money was not taken until after the end of the cycle. The y charged me three months of late fees after I paid them off. Told me I was zero balance then charged me the following week. Then told me that I should have checked my online statement. Who checks a statement for an account that had been zeroed out. Will never do business with them again. Same thing happened to my friend the previous month.

Went to purchase laptop, re flash sale, was signed into my Best Buy account. Went to place order, asked to verify account, was unable to verify. Requested password reset, via email and phone text. Never received either. Call 800 to reset, they sent email and phone text, never received. Had to complete verification to complete order, was unable to do that. Called sales to see if they could order for me and complete the order, they could not. Called a store to see if they could complete order, they could not. They did say they are having system problems, really, no kidding. This process took 3 hours, 12 different people and NO completion of a order. How ridiculous is that, GOOD GRIEF!!!! They are unable to honor and/or fix this. No such thing as loyalty to a long time customer.
