Best Buy FRIDLEY ,MN

My husband and I bought a fridge from best buy. The Price was great for a maytag bottom freezer fridge. We are very happy with the product but not with best buy's delivery svc. They bought the fridge on the day we wanted it to be delivered and then informed us that they could not bring it inside the house due to a staircase in the entry way. The salesperson did not ask us anything about the layout of our home. We had no fridge the old one went out. We had to wait 4 more days for redelivery.

Best Buy LCD TV - INSIGNIA - Don't buy them

The picture is far beyond wonderful. Its crisp. It's brillant. The characters pop out right off the screen. I thought I had died and went to heaven. All my co-workers were dying to get one too. Best Buys couldn't keep them in stock. Buy it if you want. Better buy a warranty with it too. I think the pictures are programmed to go up right after (within days) of your manufacture warranty expiration. And Best Buys won't repair it. Not even at YOUR own expense either. They will tell you have the option to purchase a new one.

BEST BUY Took hardrive and destroyed information

Bought a PC from BEST BUY, when the PC failed to work I brought the defective PC to Best Buy (which was still under warranty) The GEEK sqaud (what a joke) kept it for a week, running tests, problem (according to their Geek squad) was NOT hardrive, sent PC to Best Buy repair facility to be repaired (don't do repairs in house), Best Buy store put on my paperwork NO NEED TO BACKUP AS IT WASN'T A HARD DRIVE ISSUE. When The Best Buy repair facility received it they said it was the hardrive and replace with new one, without calling me before it was done. When I tried to retrieve my information, was told it would cost me $350 to $1500. I lost my mothers pictures from her funeral (irreplaceable) because I did not have the money to get my data back. If I had known that I needed a backup I would have done it, but the BB store told me no need. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PC FROM BEST BUY

If there's one thing I have learned, it's that you ALWAYS need a back up. Especially when sending a computer in for any type of repair.

But, also a good idea to have one around just in case the hard drive happens to fail (which can even happen in the first 2-3 months of buying it new).

Sorry to hear you lost your pictures. :sigh

Best Buy is the Worst

Went into Best Buy today to buy a Wii Fit. Sales guy went and found one for me in the back. It was the last one int he store. He walked me to the register where we were met by some managerial type *** who decided that my Wii Fit belonged to the lady standing in the checkout area who had allegedly "called to put it on hold" despite the fact that it had no note on it, was not set aside, and was found for me by the other sales guy. I asked what he thought he was doing (his name was Eaen), and he told me that she called. I said I called. He literally took it out of my hands. So surreal. Then he told me to leave because I was upset. I will never shop at Best Buy ever again. There is always another outlet. I already got a Wii Fit somewhere else.

to you EX or Current LAZY disney cast members commenting on this site, please remember you guys really suck and that we have legitimate complaints. We make more than 7.50 an hour like you guys so we expect top notch service and since you guys are too *** to provide that or give us all the information we are continually disappointed.

for example, if you dont TELL us about the rules or over capacity etc, we just believe what you lazy sorry idiots tell us. so stop commenting on these consumers complaints, you are lazy sorry and should be working digging ditches.

stop smoking your *** and find a real job. thanks

Another Best Buy Scam

I purchased a brand new Pioneer Elite Plasma Television for $2,939.99. It was being held at a Boston, MA store location until I was ready to receive shipment. I came to pick up the television to find the box had been opened and television was removed from the packaging. The sales associate assured me that it was "brand new" and was removed by mistake and was safely put back in the box, which was completely false. Upon further inspection, I noticed the unit was covered in layers of dust and looked to have been handled extensively. I then noticed that the serial number of the Pioneer television did not match the serial number on the box that it was said to come in. The product had been switched! At this point the associates tried to discount the tv as an open item and offered me free screen cleaner to make it look “like new”, which was a direct insult to me given the amount of money I had spent on this item. I refused the offer and clearly & simply stated that I wanted an unopened, brand new Pioneer Elite Plasma television (same make and model or better) that I had originally purchased on 4/10/08. Best Buy/Magnolia Home Theater relentlessly denied me my right to a new unopened television and flatly refused to ship a new one to me and continued to coerce me into a situation to accept the model that had been opened and switched as my only alternative. After several more failed attempts the next day to get what I paid for, I turned to Attorney General’s office for help. It was only after the threat of Consumer Protection that the Best Buy Manager finally complied and said they were able to locate a brand new, unopened television. I gave Best Buy every opportunity to solve this issue on site and they chose to use a tactic of trying to wear the consumer (me) down over time to get me to agree to their terms to absorb costs associated with their mix-up. I am seeking damages associated with the store's questionable activity.

Extra Warrenty Scam! | Best Buy review from Alexandria, Virginia

Before I went to college in 2002 I purchased a Toshiba laptop from Best Buy with my graduation money. I even opted to pay extra for an extended warrenty just in case something happened to it. I was informed that the extra plan would also cover screen damage, which the manufacturer's warrenty would not. I couldn't have been more excited. Shortly after, the CD drive stopped working. I called and was able to take it to a contracted shop to get it repaired since there wasn't a Best Buy store in Hawaii at that time. Then, about a year later, my laptop wasn't even a year old, it completely crashed. The hard drive went up in smoke. I admitt this was probably my fault since I was downloading music from a "share" site. But in order for Best Buy to fix it, I had to pay them $60 an hour to removed my information and put it back on my computer after they had fixed it. Let me tell you, I had A LOT of files. My whole life was on there! The year after that (2years from when I purchased the laptop) I got a crack in my screen during my flight back to school after summer vacation. I wasn't worried since the 3-year service plan I had purchased was supposed to cover this sort of thing. However, when I called I was told that screen damages were not covered by this plan. That was the entire reason for purchasing the plan to begin with. I felt very cheated. I ended up sending my computer to a comany in Jersey to be fixed, costing me around $400. Which, at face value, isn't a bad price. But when you pay $350 for a service plan that was supposed to have handled this type of problem, it's a hard price to swallow. I have chosen to not do business with Best Buy because of this experience. Shortly after my experience 60 Minutes (or maybe it was 20/20) did a report on Best Buy's extended warrenty scam. Research before you buy. Sad things like this have to happen. Be careful!

They give you a brochure that covers exactly what the plan does. Do not complain if you did not read it an understand it. I find it very bad how many americans will just sign/agree to anything and not read it.

"I never buy extended warranty, its just a scam to get extra profit for the store,ther/s one born everyday"

it's not a scam if you understand how it works. the main problem before was accidents, now their laptops cameras and camcorders cover accidents.

buy a 3 year warranty on any device..... use it for 35 months and smash it against the wall.... any monkey can understand that

i've replaced cameras/laptops/camcorders and get a new one just about every year.

ADH stands for accidental damage from handling. they must fix it, speak to the geek squad manager... if you chose to buy the NON-ADH then you're wasting your time....

And yes, I now see my spelling and gramatical errors. (It's "warranty" not "warrenty".) That's what I get for not proof reading. How embarrassing!

Compaq this... | Best Buy review from Holbrook, New York

Bought a compaq from the Commack NY store. It didn't work when I got it home. Brought it in for a replacement, was told no they had to 'repair' it. Well, 3 trips of going back and forth and no satisfaction until the 4th time and then it wound up costing me,and I had a warranty, $210.00 for repairs and the technician's 'time' for fixing it. They never honored anything in the warranty and the compaq still sucks. Went and bought a better model elsewheres.....Their customer service is the worst! Consumers beware. Do your homework.

Do not shop at Best Buy on Baltimore Pike with Bill B.

On May 31st my husband and I stopped byr there after work .He just purchased the I-Mac and wanted to add Windows to it.We purchased and left .We made it home late but he was excited so he went to the computer. When I a woke the day he said he purchased the wrong software. He asked me to take it back.On my lunch break I went to Best Buy I spoke with a lady named Tess she said I could not return it so I asked for a store credit of equal balance. She said and I asked to speak with a manger and she nodded her head and said I am a manager to make a very...very..long story short she stormed off(i don't know why) and came back with the customer service supervisor who gave me no eye contact and blurted out "what's the problem".I should have known then that he was of no help but..We have dealings with Best Buy forever.I started explaining what happened and he abruptly interrupted me and said we can't take it back and "If it was important to your husband then he would have came".Ok ,As if we still live in the old days and i am incapable of handleing buss. for my husband. We exchanged words him being very unpleasant and me saying how unproffesional and rude the whole experience was so I asked for the corporate number so that I can complain and as I left Bill B and Mark(another horrible associate) watched as I called from my car .They were standing in the doorway so it held open and a family was at the door looking out at me and they were all laughing.I called 1-800-BB they sd that the D.M.Michelle would receive the complaint but it's not100% that someone would call me.Last week they E-mailed me offering a 50. gift card.I have never ...patronized a establishment where1.The super/managerhad no customer service skills2 I have never..been insulted and humiliated by a company whom I frequent an a basis3.No one gave ma an option on how to receive my money back.I e-mailed Windows whom by the way are giving me my money back they also told me that it is a North -American 45-Day money back guarentee that no one at Best Buy suggested. Please do not support this company because it doesn't support the working class people who are full time gamers and full time cmputer geeks. My husband and I pass by so many other stores to patronize this one and because we receive poor service from the bottom we also received it from the top.The beauty of retail is ..There are other stores that carry the same.

To end this traumatic situation Microsoft themselves stepped up to the plate and sent me a refund of my money 100%.

I will never shop at Best-Buy again.I work in the furniture bussiness and when I have customers that ask me where to purchase a good television or other electronics for their new homes .I say Circuite City or Sears. The words BB don't come out of my mouth any longer. You know how some companys come around and become very popular with good customer service. This was BB,But, it is time for something better .BB is like the Dell comp. of the world your time is up not many people buy those any more we all own Apple comp. and are loving them .If you continue to hire and stand bye people that have more attitude than proffesionalism than get ready file for bankruptsy and fire some of the high paid white collar people.

BB sucks:(

Best Buy mislead my employer on a product.

My issue is that Best Buy's sales people had mislead and practiced what I believe is wrong. My employer does not have much computer knowledge and while on vacation he decided to buy himself a laptop. He was intending to get an Apple but was told it would not work for what he wanted it for. Since he did not know much he trusted the sales people and they told him there was this great model, only one left and they would give him a great deal. The model they sold him is one that has known issues with certain compnents. I know this because I purchased the exact one and had to return it but it was through another retailer. I found that it was comment knowledge among the retailers but since the manufactured was not acknowledgeing the issues basically no-one says anything. He tried to take it back within days of buying it and was told since he bought it in FLorida he had to return it there. When he told me I told him to go back because I was fairly certain this is not true and they were attempting to put him off. The secodn attempt led to them telling him they would run tests. Being a reaosnable and nice person he trusted them. Over a week later he got it back and it had the same problems. Only now it was past the return date, convieniently. He tried and tried but to no avail. He finally gave up and bought another laptop. But he should not be stuck with this lemon. Our company did allot of business with them and we won't again after the way he was treated. How do they get away with this type of business practice??

The Freezer door won't open as it's still not fixed now I have to wait another week this will be the 4th week now. I have to wait until it's conveinant for them. That's what I get for choosing to shop at Best Buy.
