Bought a compaq computer on 5/15/10. It failed.Took it back to Best Buy it was unproperly diagnosed
On May 15, 2010, I bought a compaq laptop computer from Best Buy. About the end of April 2011, it began given trouble. I took it back to Best Buy, while it was under manufacture warranty and was told by a member of GeeK Squad that this was a software problem, and this was not covered by warranty. I then called Hp, and my private technician, and they agreed it was a hardware problem. By then it was too late the manufacture warranty had been expired. This geek squad is not always right. Now this computer is going to cost me extra from my pocket, which i certainly cannot afford.

Bought a LG enV3 phone to "upgrade" my old phone. The phone shuts off in my pocket almost daily-also has called 911. I took it in for repair/replacement. After over an hour of getting my data transferred to a loaner, and after over a month of waiting to get the phone back I still have the problem. Now I am told I have to "repair" it 3 times before they will replace it. It is a design flaw. Why should I have to be subjected to all the time and fuel loss (10+ mi. round trip 1-2 hours for data transfers each trip) DON'T BUY A PHONE HERE!
Do you remember the days before the big chain stores when there was customer service? I can recall going to G. Fox and being waited on by a sales representative without sending out a search party. I can also recall a "no questions" asked policy of returning...
Never buy anything from Best Buy
I bought a laptop computer on April 9, 2011 from Best Buy in West Hartford, Connecticut to be used in my public accounting business. Even though it was during tax season and I would not have time to set up the computer, buy and load all of the programs that I needed, and all of the data from my older laptop, it was on sale so I bought it then, contemplating setting up the computer after tax season. Since tax season for me ended one week ago, I recently opened the sealed and undamaged box, only to discover that the computer screen had been damaged. I immediately returned it to the store, only to be accused of dropping the computer myself, and that Best Buy would not exchange the computer for an undamaged one. I did not drop the computer. I deliberately left it sealed and packaged to protect it from being damaged. Imagine spending over $900 for a computer, thinking that if there were any problem with the computer, that the store would stand behind it. I didn't ask for my money back; I merely asked for an exchange with an undamaged computer. And the store refused to replace it with an undamaged computer. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again. And if you value your money, you would be advised not to buy anything from Best Buy. What was I supposed to do? Before I purchased the computer and taken it from the store, had the salepeople unbox the computer, and try it all out to see if it worked. I was told by an employee at Best Buy that it has questioned buyers bringing back items even one hour after the purchase. Is that the way to treat one's customers? What a store! What lousy customer service. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again.
Best buy sucks
On May 13th I placed a call to Best Buy at 10:30A.M. BEST BUY- 5311 SOUTH CALLE SANTA CRUZ TUCSON AZ 85746 (520-294-7660) As usual they have machines and i pressed 3 to speak with an associate, i waited 8 minutes until someone picked up the phone. The girl asked if she could put me on a brief hold? I told her that was fine, little did i know a brief hold means never. I decided to call on a different phone, leaving my other phone on the call, i called and waited 10 minutes someone picked up and hung up on me. next i called again but connected to Geek Squad where i asked to speak to the manager of best buy, he said he will get her for me. 10 Minutes later manager comes to the phone and i explained the problem, she says sorry and asked are you on another line? I can hear music, i told her i was waiting for one of her associates to answer that was 45 minutes ago. all i wanted to know was if i was able to get my home phone replaced because i had a warranty, and in the end i can not get the phone because they no longer sell it. THIS BEST BUY IS HORRIBLE WITH CUSTOMERS, WHY SHOULD I BE ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE CUSTOMER THAT IS STANDING IN FRONT OF THEM. JUST BECAUSE IM CALLING THEM ON THE PHONE DOESN'T MEAN I AM LESS OF A CONCERN...
BEST BUY LOST MY 3 DAY OLD LAPTOP!!
Best Buy lost my 3 day old computer the end of January, it is now May 13, They still refuse to either give me a refund or another NEW in the box computer,, I have filed a Law Suit in Chattanooga TN, they have done this several times apparently previously... All i asked for was a refund of $1,500.00,,and I have all receipts or everything replaced New in unopened boxes...I filed suit for $5,000.00 in Hamilton County TN We appeared a week agon in civil court in front of Judge Moon and told Best Buy they need to either give me a refund or a NEW computer,,they still have refused to do either..
Best Buy - More like Worse Buy
After waiting for over 1 week to get service on my washer. the tecnician that they sent complained that the water in the washer had a smell. Well of course since I was told no one can come for a week the water would not drain. Well, he drained the water, told me he had to order a part (which he told me he took and told me not to use the washer) and left. Next thing I get a call from someone named Denise saying the because there is an "unhealthy work environment" no tech can come out to repair the machine. I spoke with a supervisor (Angela)who told me that no tech will be sent and that I had to get someone else to go and that they would reimburse me. I told her that since the tech drained it there was no smell and to have another person come out & check..Well she refused. First of all they created the problem by not sending some one right away and secondly their refusal to send another tech is a slap in the face for this customer. I will Never buy another product from Best Buy ever.

order 1,000 worth of appliances three weeks ago....called customer service for the last two weeks...put on hold, disconnected, we wont talk to you because the order is in your husbands name.....after being disconnected, onn put on hold for a great length of time.....as of today, they still dont know where my order is....couldnt care less i was cancelling a 1,000 dollar order nor offered to offer me anything for my inconvenience.....so i filed a complaint with their customer service complaint dept and what did they do PUT ME ON HOLD..... i hung up.....do not order from best buy on line or in store period......service is horrible nor do they really care where or how your appliances are being delivered....everyone just passes the buck......STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE

Loud thumping music annoyed the *** out of me | Best Buy review from Gilbert, Arizona
Today I went to the Best Buy store on West Frye Rd. in Chandler, AZ to purchASE A NOTEBOOK for my wife. The loud thumping base coming from a demo area made concentration, or conversation, impossible. It pervaded the entire store. I compalined to several associates but it continued. It wasn't the first time. When I asked for a manager he responded with, "...oh, you mean the music." At that point I realized I needed to take my business elsewhere. I bought the notebook in the more professional atmosphere of Staples. I get enough of that offensive noise out on the road without tolerating it where I shop.
Best Buy Worst Service
San Bernardino Best Buy. I went to get a new hard drive. When I asked to see the drive I was told it was the right one - smart assed attitude and I could not see it until I bought it. I bought it and guess what - it was the wrong one. They exchanged it and charged me to do so. When the drive was installed it had more than four bad sectors. It was sold as new not prior used. They do not do exchanges or refunds so it had to be mailed to the manufacturer. It has taken more than three weeks to change a hard drive. I could have ordered it elsewhere with a guaranteed four day shipment and saved half of the price. The item was over priced. The service did not exist - rude, lacking knowledge and unsupported. They completely wiped my neighbors hard drive rather than fix it and now this. I will do everything I can to keep anyone from using this horrible store.
