Best Buy Electronic has poor customer service

BE AWARE !!! The Geek Squad Protection Plan is a waste of money. BEST BUY WAS NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR MY COMPUTER PURCHASE! POOR IN STORE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOWING UP WITH CORPORATE CUSTOMER RELATIONS A WASTE OF TIME. Although Damiana at Corporate office was a nice listener, my issue was not resolved. Sounds like she is just paid to apologize in a soothing voice but has no authority to solve issues. I was told there is noting she can do I needed to actually have 3 plus 1 more "qualifying" hardware repairs. Key word in the Protection Plan is "Qualifying". You can take it in many times and if they don't send it out it will not "qualify" as a lemon or a replacement. BE AWARE !!! The Geek Squad Protection Plan is a waste of money. It appears to be a way that Best Buy uses this as a means to get money for "backing up" the system before it is sent off for repair. Ways to sell soft ware and accessories like antenna that boost signals or new routers. this happened to me and still not repaired. Jan. 1 2011, new hard drive, New wireless card was what was needed so sent out again in March new hard drive and mother board replaced and not wireless card. I was told the computer would be scrapped and a replacement given. Not the case. Found out days later that it was back in repair for two more weeks.

Best Buy review in Round Rock, Texas: The good and the bad

I hate just as much when things get Misrepresented. I deal with those type of issues alot. I am an employee of Best Buy. I have seen great things with our plans and I have seen others things that I didn't always agree with but know that there are processes that go with it. I truly think they are a great service to our clients. I wish all of our employees were just as great but that's not always the case. I apologize on behalf of shotty employees and bad experiences. I try to always think of the best interest of my clients and do what I can to accommodate them, within my ability that is. I have not seen phones being exchanged by technology only. Our exchanges were on price point and luckily now, our phones are phasing out of the month long insanity and is going to rapid exchange. I've seen some phones take 4 days and others come next day. Unfortunately we had a contract with 3rd party repairs centers which had to be fulfilled before changing. And I'm glad! It will make at least the phone repair process alot better. We try new things as a company to see what works and does not. It is a process, and takes time, but we are truly here to get our clients all the technologies they want and to protect their investments. This may not change anyone's mind, but you do need to know that there are Best Buy employees that are out they who do care about their clients and the product and services they sell.

Then why not have a big sign that says "You will get better prices and customer service at newegg.com and amazon.com. Please use our store as a showroom only"? That would truely be in the best interest of the customer.

Best Buy review in Lawrence, Kansas: BestBuy is NOT a Honest Company

I purchased a set of washer and dryer from the BestBuy. The set was severly damaged during shipping (The store is about 9 miles from my house). Then, I asked BestBuy delivery personnel not to bring the damaged products into my house because I the damages were too serious (operation panel was borken into peices and metal body was bent. The delivery persons said "BestBuy will give you another set for replacement, and we'll come pick up these [damaged washer and dryer] after you reporsted to BestBuy." Never. Never trust BestBuy. BestBuy never replaced the set, instead, they made us fixed the washer and dryer with the warranty we purchased....

OMG that is dumb.

I find it hard to have sympathy for you crying victim when you bent over and spread your cheeks for them. You should have told them to bring you a brand new, undamaged machine like you ordered.

Best Buy review in Evergreen, Colorado: Black Tie Warranty Not worth the paper its printed on

I bought a computer from Best Buy, and I also bought the Black Tie warranty because it was an expenive computer. Less than a year later the computer is not working, and best buy refuses to honor the warranty, and they also voided the warranty. Worse yet, they refused to give me a refund for the cost of the warranty, which according to thier own paper work I am entitled to. They are thives, and rip off artists, and I wont be going back. At a time when the economy is down the tubes, and consumers are holding on to every penny you would think Best Buy would appreciate it when someone spends money in thier store.

The computer should still be under the manufacturer's warranty because it is less than one year old. What reason did they give for not repairing it under warranty?

Best buy service is a joke.

Called for service on my TV. Was given a window of 12-4pm which was fine. Tech called in the AM & asked to move up app. to 11-1pm fine again. I left work at 12:15 with the thought that he would be closer to the 1pm time. @ 1:30 i called to see where he was & was told that my window was 12-2pm. Asked nicly for a manager & I was told in so many words that I'm a lair. Explained myself to this manager about the tech moving up the time but was told that i was just looking for an earlier window. I don't lose my cool but this arogant *** pissed me off.

Best Buy sold us a GE 4.1 Colossal Capacity Washer is a Colossal piece of ***

This GE washing machine is a piece of garbage. It leaves lint on and all over everything and this lint really shows up on darker clothing. It is very difficult to get it off or out, because of the super spin cycle sucks the lint into the fabric. I do not use powder detergent so it's not detergent residue. It must be the lint and old skin, deoderant or whatever and it's a terrible problem. BEST BUY won't do anything about it so I'm complaining to you, GE, Attorney General and will never purchase another thing from Best Buy either. They could care less and because we didn't buy the extended warranty they'll do nothing. (Consumer Reports says not to buy these things - that if the products are good - you shouldn't need them)

Best Buy does not SELL YOU anything. You decided to purchase the product on your own accord and Best Buy employees are non-commissioned so you could have decided not to purchase it. The previous commenter is right: why are you blaming the retailer when the product YOU decided to purchase was a piece of junk to begin with?

Best Buy review in Lynnwood, Washington: Bet Buy overcharged for a Lap Top Computer

I won't spend another dime at Best Buy! I bought a Compaq lap top that was tagged "on sale" at $279.95. I charged it to my Master Card. When I got out to my car I noticed that they had charged me $299.95. I went back and asked to talk to a manager. He said we should check the tag which, amazingly, now said $299.95. I asked to speak with the salesclerk and was told that he had gone home sick. Bottom line here is a convenient bait & switch. I kept the darn thing and just chalked it up to lessons learned! I tell you though, if Best Buy needs $20.00 that bad there is no hope for the American consumer.

I agree with the last comment. You always want to check anything before you pay for it.

If you didn't then its really your fault. And there's no way they changed the tag right after your purchase.

You probably saw the incorrect tag. Which is still an error on your behalf.

Best Buy review in Washington, District Of Columbia: The squad is incompetent.

Brought my machine to the local place in Stafford,VA. for a 'Blue screen' memory dump issue. Today was the 5th time! After replacing memory sticks 3 times, the first set at my cost, despite the machine is under warranty. During the first visit one of their "Managers" told me to order the sticks since they were out of stock. First he gave me the wrong part number, then he recommended 8 GB, the machine takes only max. 4 GB ! I'm dealing with idiots here. Pick up is tomorrow....I can't wait! They will screw up again, I see it coming. If so, names and case number will be posted here.

I have had a few, similar issues with Best Buy but none have been quite as frustrating as yours. Maybe that is why I tend to use the web site bestbuy.com instead. The online version of Best Buy receives many positive reviews from review sites like www.viewpoints.com and others and it rates higher in quality than the actual stores.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Best Buy hereafter labeled as Worst Buy; they accepted my online order for a Samsung washer SKU 9282019 which they are STILL offering online for purchase. As soon as the order was submitted my American Express card was charged for the complete order and I was given a CONFIRMATION of the order and the delivery date. One month later the washer is UNAVALIABLE and the delivery date for the rest of the order is changed without any notification or explanation. Now I am left without a washer and apparently the only recourse I have is the BBB ; American Express and the Attorney General. Worst Buy is a roll of the dice maybe you will be lucky and everything will be fine …if not consider yourself warned. NEVER AGAIN will Worst Buy get my business!
