Would not exchange our fridge | Best Buy review from Los Angeles, California
We picked up our appliance and opened it at home to find dents and tried to return it and was accused of physically damaging the fridge. An entire entourage of employees came outside to tell me they couldn't take my fridge for an exchange 2 hours after we picked it up. People, please open your items at the store, in case it is damaged they can see you didn't cause it. Im stuck with a fridge that has dents and scratches and it hasn't even been 30 days. Never buy from Best Buy ever again. Worst service.

Went to best buy in mansfield tx to buy my wife a ebook. Finally picked out the nook they had 2 spots for them one at 115$ and one at 249$ so I picked out the basic one for 115$. This store rep that had been helping me asked if I wanted to apply for a best buy credit card to receive a free gift card randomly valued at 5$ 10$ or 25$ and that if I got approved I would get to pick from the random basket and get a guaranteed 25$ card. So I figured I would go through the process we don't use credit cards but having them around doesn't hurt. I applied got approved and picked out my random card, and was told the other 25$ would be done at the register. No problem so far I get up to the register and the ebook nook rings up at 189$. I said no the sticker says 115 she says well this was has 3g let me get you the other one ok no biggie I will walk with you to show you we get to the spot and she says oh this is all we have the 189 or the 249 your choice sorry they just haven't put the spot up yet for the new one and we must be out of the other so they used it instead. I said ok well fine I'm getting atleast 30$ off and its got the 3g svc so fine. We get back to the register and she rings it up along with a cover that I grabbed on our price checking trip that was 15$ it rings up 47 but she just saw me get it and she goes back checks the skew and says sorry these are also in the wrong spot , fine I don't want a 50$ cover just the book is fine. We check out I hand her the random gift card and tell her about the other 25$ off the lady told me about my random card rings up a whopping one dollar gift card and she says the 25$ will be deducted off the credit card purchase. Well no that's not what yall said you said gift card I intend on paying cash and the random card was supposed to be a minimum of 5$.$ So we get the floor rep over and she explains she is sorry for the misunderstanding that she thought the minimum truly was 5$ and that the other was just taking off at the register so it wouldn't matter to call it a 2nd gift card. Ok you say your sorry but now I have 2 huge price discrepancies and a 1$ gift card someone needs to make this right but they never did I called the store the next day and asked for a manager to call me back nothing I emailed best buy and nothing so yes I am @ pissed consumer and yes I am one!

Best Buy Geek Squad Experience
Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to complain about the poor service and very bad attitude as well as lack of customer service performance of the Geek Squad personnel at the Best Buy Golf Mill Store located at 9530 Greenwood, Niles, IL. Three weeks ago I had taken my computer which I had purchased at Best Buy originally to the Geek Squad for advise and was told to absolutely get it repaired because it was a top of the line computer and not buy a new one as I intended. After the lack of communication on their part on what the operating disk for the computer was and several useless trips where individuals did not know what the operating disk was, I was advised to contact HP for a operating disk copy. Unfortunately, when I contacted HP, I was told the real truth that the computer was obsolete and that an operating disk was not available contrary to the Geek Squad guy (as indicated earlier) who originally took my order and said I should absolutely not buy a new computer and that my computer was top of the line. Unfortunately, this individual's remarks resulted in my repairing rather than buying a computer and reminded me of going to the service area at your local gas station in the old days and being ripped up for service costs rather than being at the reputable Best Buy Store that I was accustomed to in the past. As a result of this misleading information, I spent over $500 on repairs and software which I did not ultimately desire had I know that the computer was obsolete and would have bought a new computer with those funds. To make things worst, the Geek Squad guys configured my memory wrong where I now had 250 gigs rather than 500 gigs as well as not updating the computer with the printer disk and back-up disk. When, I took my computer back this Friday to get this corrected and load my printer disk and back-up disk (which the Geek Squad guys had also conveniently forgot to do despite me asking them to do originally as indicated), it was discovered that the mother board had gone bad and that I would have to spend another $300 to fix. Please note that the computer was working fine and powering up before I brought it to the store ironically enough. Needless to say, I have decided to throw out the computer and take the loss of $500 spent originally. When I asked Dan, the last kid (and I mean kid) who helped me at the store if he could give me a credit for past services considering my experience and loyalty to Best Buy, he coldly said he could not help me . Dan seemed like a cold fish with not even an apology for the lack of poor service and advise. Ultimately, I will never use your service again nor shop at Best Buy in the future due to this experience despite the fact that I have been a loyal customer of your store for the past 20 years spending probably over $50,000 plus as evidenced by my Best Buy Silver Premium Card and wife Selma's Best Buy Card. Best buy took my money, didn't deliver the product. I tracked them down, they said it was suddenly on back order, maybe a month. They said they don't call,but if I'd given them a email they would have informed me. I was not told this. I was told the item was in stock. They just took my money, kept me waiting and I would MAYBE get it in stock in a month. It was a $300.00 item and I hope they won't lie again and not refund my money. I'll NEVER shop there again.
Best Buy Recurring Charge Scam
2 years ago we bought the laptop at Best Buy in Fresno. We've moved since then but sure enough they charged our card $46 to auto renew Kapersky AntiVirus. We pay a considerable bill each month to our ISP which includes anti virus protection. When I called BB, didn't even have to ask to refund the charge, that poor Best Buy cs rep must go through it all day long. Why would Best Buy think it's okay ? I'm sure they'll use their corporate lingo to defend their 'when you swiped your card you agreed...' Well I agree I'll shop somewhere else.
Best Buy has cancelled 2 scheduled repair visits, terrible customer service
Our LG dryer died. We were told by outside LG repair that it will be totalled. We have made 2 scheduled repair appointments with best buy geek squad, where we had to *** from work & be home. Both were cancelled by Best Buy last minute. They will not give compensation for having to go to the Laundry mat. You can not get a supervisor, you are told they are not available & they will call you& they don't. Very unhelpful customer service. We feel that we are just being lied to. I would not purchase anything else at Best buy.

Went and bought a new 60" flat screen from Best Buy. They didnt have it stock and said for $99.00 they would deliver the new and and take the 57" old one and set new one up. New one arrives and they set it up. Then they look at old TV and say the old tv is too big for the van they have. One tech looks at his watch and says "Oh, it is after 2, good luck getting someone here today". I tell him "no, I paid for you too take this." Well, push comes to shove, they left and I called the store. I went through 4 people before demanding to speak to a manager who said he would get back mto me before he left at 8. Now mind you, I had to take half a day off and then this manager says he is not sure when they can get someone to pick it up, it may be a few weeks. By then I was hot and told them to come and get the new tv and that I was returning my purchase. After he sputtered a few words, they decided to refund the delivery fee. Never order anything online!!! because there is less chance that you will get it. They will take the order and will not ship it and when you call them they will tell you that they place your order as "backorder"!!! ridiculous!!!. They will not tell you that when you place the order. SO THEY CAN BLOCK YOU FROM BUYING THE SAME ITEM FROM OTHER STORES!!!THIS IS CHEETING!!!Never order anything online!!! because there is less chance that you will get it. Would not give me my printer without husband present | Best Buy review from Spokane, Washington
Was in store and paid cash for printer. They had to bring in from another location. Asked for my phone#, pulled me up in data base (based on previous purchase)and told me they'd email when printer ready for pickup. Got email, went to pick up and they wouldn't give it to me because the account was under my husband's name. He was not in the store with me at time of purchase. Said they could call him for authorization for me to pick up, but only at phone# on account which was our home# and he was at work. Would not attempt to problem solve.
