Canceled order still pissed | Best Buy review from North Las Vegas, Nevada

I placed an order on line, canceled it the next day. BB said the shippment could not be stopped but would take at least 2 weeks to be delivered. I refused delivery 2 months ago and still dont have a refund. Now I sit on hold......I was given a case # and a tracking # a month ago when I tried to resolve this problem to no avail. Aparently these codes are useless as the rep I just spoke to has no use for them so here I sit waiting...waiting...waiting for a confused rep to start from scratch and see whats going on. All the while Im on hold listening to music on hold that is of such poor quality its extremely anoying. Do they do this on purpose??? I told them about the music before,the rep said she new but management refused to do anything about it!!! So here I sit still waiting for some under trained incompetent rep to take me off of hold and resolve my problem. Maybe I should go to a local store and raise holy *** right out in front of every one,Wait,the rep just came back on line and told me I would have to go to a store to get my refund. What a joke!!! Ok,Tomorrow I go to BB for the last time in MY LIFE hopefully, to attempt to get my money back. Ill go when I think they will be at their busiest, huh,are they ever busy? Ill try not to go to balistic so any customers dont think Im just a wacko and miss the point that this joke of a company can get away with jerking customers around when they change their minds. I will not miss any opportunity to bad mouth BUST BUY in the future.

Best Buy return with a receipt

I purchased a calculator but it did not have the features I needed so I returned to Best Buy 2 weeks later with the unopened package & the original receipt. Customer service asked to see my drivers license & phone number or else they wouldn't issue a refund. This is unfair that they need my name, address, DL #, SS# & phone for a simple return. I don't want marketing calls or junk email as a result. I have never been asked for such personal info. from any other store when a valid receipt was produced. NEVER again will I shop at Best Buy.

It says clear as day on the reciept you need an id to do a return. Its to stop fraudulent activity and return scams which happen all the time and all they need from your id is your id # and the expiration date to make sure its a valid id. If you have nothing to hide then it should be a problem, best buy doesn't sale customer information or email addresses

I've heard that some stores do this so they can see what people are constantly returning things. I'm not sure if this is true or not though.

bought a computer at best buy less than 4 months ago for school, however I recently took my computer out of my school bag and the computers screen is cracked take it to best buy they state there is nothing they can do "I should have bought the protection warranty". I explained to them that well I didn't and I just need this situation fixed because I need a computer then they quoted $200 to me and it will probably take 10days. I told them that that option is not feasible can they do something for me towards a new computer and just keep my computer and these *** people proceeded to tell me that my computer was probably only $320 and I was like no it was $400 so you over priced it to me then i want the $80 difference. Long story short my current value is $0 and there is nothing they can do for, at this point I don't want anything to do with this company.

you wanna know why Best Buy didn't do anything for you? 1.

you bought the computer 4 months ago with no protection and 2. it was damage that you probably caused. if you purchased accidental damage then you're covered. you see, what happens is companies like HP, Toshiba, Dell, Acer, Sony, etc.

make computers and let stores like Best Buy and Staples sell them. the computers come with a 1 year warranty that covers defects, not accidental damage. so if you don't purchase extra coverage, you have to go through the company that is responsible for making your computer.

if a retail store covered everything for free then they'd go out of business. even though I feel bad that your laptop broke, you're still a *** and need to do better in school if you can't understand something as simple as a retail store.

I paid off my Best Buy card, then a few days later bought a TV on my card. They report I did not keep a zero balance during the pay period & tacked on ALL of the interest over $1,000. I went into the store to pay off my card for good (Never going to purchase from them Again!) and attempted to pay with a CASHIERS check. They say "we don't accept cashier's check, you can pay with a personal check" WHAT?! I have had many issues with this company & will continue to let people know how they operate! Boycott!!!

We take only cash or check for payment. Period point blank and we DO NOT own the credit card Capitol one does so that is who you need to complain to.

Best buy has nothing to do with YOUR interest rates. You are supposed to READ and understand the terms you are agreeing to when you sign up for the credit card.

I guess you needed to pay more attention to the fine print on the card info. Now you know.

Your common sense assumed one thing, but BestBuy's credit card policies assumed something different.

As an aside: I walked into BestBuy yesterday to take a look-see, especially their computers. Wow! They must really be in trouble---very few desktop computers and alot of laptops, notebooks, etc.

And the prices!! Higher than anyone else for DVDs, cables, etc.

And, the two store guys I talked to were no bright lights regarding the products they were trying to sell. All in all, a store to stay away from nowadays.

Not sending a return shipping label | Best Buy review from Randolph, Massachusetts

I ordered a replacement battery for my HP Pavilion Laptop Computer. When it came in it was the wrong battery. I called that day and a representative told me that a return shipping label (postage paid) would be sent to me in a couple of days. A couple of days later, no label. I called again. Again I was told I would receive it in a couple of days. I called today. They said a return shipping label would be emailed to me right away. This afternoon still no label. Called again. Now they tell me I'll get it tomorrow. I shouldn't have to wait a week for a return shipping label!!!

Best Buy Replacement

Beware of Credit at Best Buy

I had purchased a laptop at Best Buy and they use HSBC for their credit. The credit company showed that I had a disabiltiy insurance on the card charging me over $600 when I did not know that they had that included. Was able to get it resolved. It did not show up unitl I paid all of the same as cash prior to the expiration. Made formal complaint to Best Buy after canceling the credit card with plans to never shop there again. HH Gregg will be the recipient of my business now. The credit card company and the Best Buy corporate office did not seem to be concerned about my calling them about the scam they are running. Beware of this horrible business practice.

Best Buy workers are rude!

I went to Best Buy a few weeks ago with my boyfriend looking for a cable for my Zune, hoping they would still have them. As soon as I walked into the mp3 player area, a salesperson asked me if I needed help. I told him what i was looking for and he laughed! He said, and I quote "That's like... ancient!" He did look up in the Best Buy inventory but by this time I knew I would have more luck online. He said he had none, but he suggested that I BUY AN IPOD, and acting condescending the entire conversation. Seriously, someone comes in looking for a cable and you tell them to buy a whole new device? That's ridiculous. His attitude was very offensive.

Really, I didn't expect to be laughed at when I asked if they might have something left over in their inventory. The fact that I was looking for an outdated item in the hopes that I wouldnt have to order it online is irrelevant; what is relevant to my complaint and what you are overlooking is that the salesperson was a complete ***.

It sounds like the employee was trying to be friendly by referring to the age of your Zune (which only 10 people bought even when it was new). Get an iPod and join the 21st Century.

My Samsung UN46C8000 was not working. After three calls and 3 hours on the phone with Geek I had to go into Best Buy to complain. Three follow up calls from the manager resulted in a service call. One week later - the TV went on the fritz again. Called the repairman whose work is guaranteed for 90 days - he said he'd call Samsun and get back to me. That was a week ago. Called Geek Squad 3 days ago - they said they'd call me the next day. They didn't. Called tonite - took 35 minutes on hold to talk to someone ....who left a message for the repairman. They told me if the repairman didn't call me tomorrow - I could call him or I could call them to call him. What a cluster. Talk about feeling totally hosed. Geek Squad is a total ripoff. Also known as THEFT. No wonder Best Buy is going into the toilet.

Best buy would not pay for repair under warranty

my son was moving to Japan to work,so he purchased a Toshiba computer with extended warrany, from best buy while in Japan something happened to the computer he got in touch with best buy and was told to have it fixed over there and to mail the pd.bill to some place out west,he could not do it so i got all the info.and mailed it out it was for a lousey $100 that was over 5 years ago and waiting,so i tell all my friends and relatives to stay away.i hope they do.it

bought a play station and when i bought it home, the machine did not match the box and the call of duty was missing. I try to return this for an exchange but they refused. Instead, i got humilated by managers and employees. I learn my lesson, i will make sure to check the inside box before any purchase. I called Sony and was told the machine did not match the box that came with it. The serial number of the machine did not match my receipt. I am never going to shop at best buy and i am pissed.
