Best Buy Credit card SCAMS

We purchased a large screen flat tv. They said we would get 5% cash back if we signed up for their cc card and paid it off within one month. I even remember in store double checking about the cash back because we get 3% on our credit card back + giant eagle points on top of that purchase which would equal to about 4 so i thought hey not bad 5% i will take it. I signed up for their card and then i get an email 30 days later to sign up online to get my 5% best buy bucks. I called right away their 1800 number and after talking to 15 customer service agents, never being connected to a manager after asking several times, and, getting hung up on. I asked for their corporate phone number. good luck with that all their answers we cannot give it to you. That was our 1st and last purchase at best buy! the store people were nice but the 1800 people HORRIBLE if you value your nerves do not call them!!! My problem never got resolved, I am still even waiting on this 5% best buy bucks which i will most likely not even use out of principal at this point! Getting someone from upper management to contact you GOOD LUCK with that! DO not spend your money there the 5% is for their best by buy bucks its a scam that they use word play with to get you!!!

What I said to Best Buy Corporate...

Yesterday afternoon, July 27, I went to this location with the intent of purchasing a 50" television. I spent about 10 minutes looking at the options and making a tentative decision. I some questions in my mind but had pretty much decided to make a purchase of one of two models. The problem is there was no one willing to engage with me. During my 10 minutes in the television department, 8 associates and one manager walked by me. Not a single one o f them even looked my direction or even nodded. I spent this time in your store and every employee acted as if I were invisible. I decided that I would not be purchasing anything from this store and walked to the door to leave. Sadly, your one last chance to save a sale and customer occurred with the associate stationed at the door. One might expect that a customer leaving with nothing in their hand could be asked if they found what they were looking for of something. Not in this case. I walked the gentleman at the door and I believe his only concern was whether I might have perhaps a refrigerator of something hidden in my back pocket. If we assume that you are seeing even one customer a week walking due to lack of service in the television department, we can calculate lost sales at perhaps $50,000 per year or maybe more. Customers should not have to beg for your attention.

I used to work for BB. I went to customers homes and tried to repair their lemon computers still under Warranty.

Pre-ordering doesn't mean squat!! | Best Buy review from San Jose, San Jose

I was among one of the first to Pre-order the new Nexus 7, even in advance of the official announcement date from Google. Fast forward 5 days before the launch and I get an update saying that my pre-order has been backordered. The whole point of pre-ordering is to ensure shipment at or even prior to the launch date so that the early birds who pre-ordered have a reserved copy. Obviously, Best Buy is widely incompetent in handling their inventory management. I am a logistics professional and this kind of behavior from a national retail chain store with its level of recognition is embarrassingly unacceptable. Either that or the company intentionally oversold on pre-orders, knowing that they are screwing over people but doing it anyway to get traffic into their site/stores. On top of that, this experience tied up funds on my credit card that I could have otherwise used towards a more responsible retailer. Never again will I be eager to give you business Best Buy.

$7500 to the wrong company | Best Buy review from Elk Grove, California

From the Elk Grove, CA "Best Buy", I bought a 90" Sharp tv, Pioneer Elite Receiver, Samsung 3d Bluray along with all the accessories (that stuff adds up!). TV was delivered, out of the box, covered with dust on the stand, no 3d glasses to go with the TV, was given replacement glasses, which did not work, was told to take them back to the store and try to find ones that did work (the tv comes with 2 pair, both unavailable, so was given USED glasses and one pair that were supposed to be "new", in a tattered box with components missing) had my ENTIRE system that was being replaced COMPLETELY unwired, for no reason, I did not ask them to, I was simply going to roll the set into another room, hook up a couple of speakers and be good to go. Was told when I asked if they would put it back together that, yeah, he could, but would need to charge me $150 to do so! The store gave me a "gift card" to cover the cost of it being reconnected, but will have to wait 2 weeks for them to come out again when the "tech" could have done it all in 20-30 WHILE THEY WERE HERE ALREADY. Called the manager of the store who was on another call, my call was not returned, but when I got there he knew the entire issue already! And said the "tech" admitted he shouldn't have dismantled the old system. Was given a "discount" on a remote than when I got home I found out could have been bought online for about $30 LESS than the "discounted" price. I now have to spend 4 hours on MY Saturday waiting for them to come back and rewire the system. I have called and complained 2x, to your "customer service" (who's mailto: address on their site does not launch an email program), have NOT received a call from management, as requested, either time. I will be contacting the California state attorney general and local TV station consumer help programs to expose this bait and switch and scam to get more money out of me by dismantling my ENTIRE previous system since I HAVE NOT received a call back from management.

Without a stove for 5 days thanks to best buy

Bought a stove on 7/13/13 and had to wait until 7/23 for delivery. The conversion kit and manual was missing upon delivery. The install people said to contact the store for the part. They took our old stove with us believing the problem would be resolved within 24hrs. Needless to say it hasn't been resolved yet on day 3 without a stove. I went to the store yesterday to pick up the missing kit and spoke to the store manager. No help whatsoever! He said he would call installation and " fast track" the date for installation. I call today and find out that never happened. No reschedule date was made. I ask for the district managers info so I can file a complaint. Well apparently this company isn't allowed to give out his info. I have worked retail for 20 years and never heard of such nonsense. I will never buy from Best Buy again! To think that they basically won't take a valid complaint and help resolve quickly. They tell me I have to wait till Friday for the installation that should have been done Monday! I will have gone 5 days without a stove by that time! They shouldn't have taken my old working stove if it was going to take this long.

There is no excuse for the store not correcting its mistake. Instead it used a store policy that screwed the customer.

That's why I don't go to Best Buy. I buy from Amazon, HH Gregg, Microcenter and even Staples.

All because he gave you the wrong change. Do you not make a mistake?

You have to learn to treat people the way you want to be treated. I have shopped at Best buy for years and have always been treated very well but then I do not start cursing if they make a mistake.

Poor Installation Services | Best Buy review from Boyertown, Pennsylvania

I purchased an LG Dishwasher from the Pottstown, PA Bestbuy store. The Bestbuy installer broke the door latch, took my old dishwasher away and left me with the Broken LG. Bestbuy did not have another LG Dishwasher in stock, forcing me to purchase a Samsung dishwasher. Bestbuy installed the Samsung incorrectly so that it falls out of the kitchen cabinet. I have spent hours trying to resolve this with Bestbuy, but when they schedule a repair, no one shows up. The local store manager has washed his hands and says it is not his problem. This is terrible customer service.
