Bestbuy uses marketplace venders on it's website. | Best Buy review from Newburgh, New York
I ordered a dryer, pedestal & trash compactor from the Bestbuy website using Bestbuys credit card. The dryer & pedestal arrived without incident, but was told the trash compactor came from a marketplace vender (unbeatable sales-NJ) and they had no control over this disreputable co. (Even ebay gets involved with it's venders) This Co did not deliver my trash compactor. Never saw it, never opened the box & it never came near my house for several weeks. I canceled this order for a $830 trash compactor and they charged me a couple hundred dollars 'restocking' fee for an un-opened, never delivered sm appliance and a shipping fee for which item was never shipped. 'Unbeatable Sales' (& Bestbuy for sponsering them) are as disreputable co's as you can imagine. They demanded more then half the purchase price ($430) for an item they never delivered. Be very wary of both companies.

Not willing to work with customer on prices or compensation for me spending hours on hold or on the computer on Cyber Mon & not getting what I want | Best Buy review from Jupiter, Florida
I have had a terrible 2 days trying to make a purchase from the BB website. I have wasted hours (yes hours) on the phone (waiting for someone to pick up) & on the website. Not only will I not shop on Cyber Mon again, but I am really aggravated that I asked for BB gift cards for my bday. You won't meet a lower cost from Home Depot bc it says "while supplies last" & it is $60 cheaper from them! The TV I want is not in stock, & I can't order one for shipment later, nor will you give me a similar TV for a close price. I am a teacher who is very budget conscious & very tight on time. I have wasted a lot of the last 36 hours trying to make a purchase from BB only to be unable to & now I am getting no help as to make me a satisfied customer.

Totally screwed up brand new computer | Best Buy review from Fort Worth, Texas
Had an old ASUS. Asked for C drive to be backed up. They insisted on removing the d drive. The backup they gave me didn't have any of the info I needed. I had to buy an external and I had my daughter take up the d drive to back it up to the external. They couldn't. When she brought the external drive home I plugged it in and the computer shut down and would only display the chipset. Took it in, one of the techs said the other one had tested it using HD power and should have switched it back to usb. After over an hour of waiting they said my usb drive was bad. This is a brand new computer. They gave me an external usb hub, came home, plugged it in and now I can't access the internet, I keep getting notices that google doesn't have a current certificate and shuts down. Error message saying I don't have the usb driver, windows won't update automatically and if I plug in keyboard or mouse to external usb they won't work. Like an *** I paid for the tech program. This isn't the first time this has happened, my dog knows more about computers.
Worst customer service | Best Buy review from Wentzville, Missouri
I visited the Best Buy on Thf Blvd in Chesterfield, MO to get two game consoles and games for my sons. I asked one of the employees if they could price match another major retailer's price when the item is the same, but the color is different. He spoke with a manager and the manager said okay. I grabbed two game consoles and the games and followed the employee to check out to complete the purchase. The employee went online and check the prices and then left to speak with the manager again. Upon his return, he told me that they can match the game prices, but not the consoles as the color is not the same. I asked him why the color matters as both the other retailer and best buy sell all the colors for the same price. He just said "it is company policy". I wanted to speak with the manager and after waiting for him for ten minutes, a supervisor named Jessica came and informed me that the manager is feeding his son so she could help me. The manager not only brought his son to his workplace, but also feeding him during working hours and ignores a customer request to meet with him/her to resolve an issue. Anyways, I explained the issue to the Jessica the supervisor and she said they could not match the price because of the color difference. It just did not make sense to me so I informed her that I wanted to wait for the manager. She said the manager already said no to the price match and that there is no reason to speak with him/her. Long story short, this was my last visit to Best Buy due to bad customer service and untrained workforce. I assume the manager could resolve the issue if I got the chance to speak with him/her in person rather than communicating through couple of inexperienced employees. I am sure there are other companies that will appreciate my business. Thanks for reading.

Best Buy-er Beware
Purchased a new iphone a few days ago at $199 and had asked if there would be any special offers that would make it worth waiting for the holiday weekend and was told they didn't see any thing coming up.I received an offer from BB for the same phone at $75 less. Went to the store and they would not honor the pricing. A person name "Walt" at the Mooresville, NC location claimed to be the GM for the entire store and would not provide any service, give his last anme, nor provide me with his business card when requested. I asked why he would not make a decision based on customer satisfaciotn and he said he could not do so. When businesses do this they wind up facing Bankruptcy! I will cancel my BB credit card and take my business elsewhere and I suggest that ohters do the same as I share this with friends and family.

Lowest Price Guarantee? | Best Buy review from Edmonton, Alberta
I bought a 50" Insignia LED TV on November 10, 2013. Technically, Black Friday is today, November 29th. And on my receipt it states that: "Our Lowest Price Guarantee excludes limited quantity prices on Black Friday and Cyber Monday (Nov 29 Dec 2) and Boxing Week." So, then Best Buy HAS to honour the Lowest Price Guarantee on November 30th and December 1st, correct? As the same TV I bought is on sale for 3 days and not just Black Friday November 29th. And another thing I noticed, online it states that the price of $399 is a saving of $50. That means that it has dropped $50 between the time I bought it for $499, 19 days ago, and today. So, at the very least, Best Buy HAS to return $50, correct? Nope, is what their Customer Service tells me(!). So, I will go through the EXTREME hassle of unscrewing the base, stuffing everything back in the box, and finding a vehicle large enough to return the TV! I will get a full refund and maybe buy the exact same new TV again from Best Buy or Future Shop for $100 less. Best Buy will be left with an open box item. This is stupidity at its finest. And if I can't get it from Best Buy or Future Shop, I will simply buy something else from somewhere else resulting in a complete lost sale for Best Buy.
Bait and switch at best buy
On wednesday november 27th I printed a screen shot of an online and instore $249.00 price on a 39 inch insignia tv from best buy. I was going to take it with me black Friday to pick up. it has the model number on it. I looked on line thanksgiving and noticed the tv went up in price??? I went to the store, talked with Nate and he said the lower price was only a short period of time and would not drop the price. I admit I did not notice if the ad was for a period of time or not, but what store drops a price before black Friday then increases on black Friday? doesn't it work the opposite? the store also has a policy of all sale items being honored at the lower price with proof. when I mentioned that he said that was for products from different stores? I felt like this was a bait and switch.. just low enough and for a long enough time to get you into the store. companies have been known to raise original prices then offer them at 50% off. this felt the same way. I was duped and they did not play fair with pricing and advertising. price was a short period of time and he On Wednesday before this past Thursday, I found a 39 inch tv online and also offered in stores at best buy. I printed the information to take to the store today black Friday. I did not read or look to see if the price was "special" for a day, an hour etc. last night Thursday I saw on line the price was 30 dollars more. curious because black Friday is (besides cyber Monday) "the lowest prices. I called the store and the outgoing message stated that if there was a product with a lower price anywhere, they would honor that price. the store manager, Nate, stated the price was for a short period of time, and that the "guarantee of honoring" a lower price did not apply. he stated that they "stagger" by days and hours, the prices of products so there is fluctuation in prices of "same items" this is bait and switch in my opinion. I had the flyer in my hand, no where did it say "priced for a day, etc" also just as good customer service, he refused to give me the tv for the lesser price. regardless of whether there is "fine print" about such things, it is very disappointing to start your black Friday with a price increase.
