I had the same issue. Spent $80 for a router.

Took a store credit card, which I never do, to save $20. Paid off my account and tucked the credit card in a drawer. Thought that was that. Wound up with late charges totaling $56.

When I called to inquire, I was connected with a "collections" person - so no help there.

Bent over, paid the fees, closed the account and will NEVER shop at Best Buy again. Shame on me for falling for the store Credit Card.

they know the employees lie they tell them to lie. they tell them if you want hours you will get so many of these things in your shift the one that gets the sale gets the hours next week.

got it they say we do not give commissions (but they just change the wording) but don't worry they also screw up the employees bonus all the time. google it you will see 1000s employees or xemployees complaining of how the same company that SCREWED the customers screwed the employees out of money!

Last fall i spilled tea in the back of my Mac Air. It wouldn't power on. I took it to Best Buy for a repair estimate. They wanted over $1300 to repair a $1000 computer. I bought a new computer rather than having it repaired. I ran across a Canadian shop on E-bay that...

Ads are lies | Best Buy review from Albany, New York

Went in to trade in my iPhone 4s for a 5s for a $1 like their ad says Fine probe says. As long as it turns on and screen isn't cracked you will receive at least a $150 gift card towards to 5s. Which makes it $1. Well I get in there and he starts looking inside the head phone jack with a flashlight. Cones over and says sorry we can't accept this it has water damage. Really. Because a little disc inside the headphone *** turned pink I can't trade it in even though it works great! ???? Nope. Well what about the ad that says as long as it work and not cracked. We reserve the right to no accept any phone. THEN RIGHT THAT UN THE FRICKEN AD THAT YOULL BE LOOKING FIR PINK IN THE HEADPHONE JACK!!! I would have looked and not come in your awful awful store.

Yes, the pink circle means there was water damage. No one would accept that phone, it doesn't matter how well it works.

Also, read the FAQ.

Is the Water Damage Indicator active? Yes.

The phone has been exposed to water damage or moisture. We cannot accept the phone.

Simon IS a Best Buy shill. He has been on this site for at least 2 years.

He used to get pissed at some guy who used to give legal advice against BB. I wish that guy would come back.

Everything that I bought is breaking within one year | Best Buy review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The refrigerator needs to be replaced and your team will not replace it for they won't bring it up my porch as your workers did prior for the initial sale. The iPhone was your stores fault and I have to suffer. The television has never been touched except for your repair man and I was not told that the manufacturers warranty My dishwasher doesn't clean my dishes and when I went to the store they took so long to see why there wan't protection plans on the order that I indeed remembering purchasing, warranty expired at 12:00 THE EVENING PRIOR.

Your at the end of the mfg warranty period, your appliances are failing, and your blaming BB! There home delivery and repair is terrible, but don't blame BB because the mfg is terrible.

.

Quality in being reduced in all areas of mfg.

It's sad. I'd rather pay a little more for a quality product that will last for years, rather that the horrible quality stuff there putting out.

.

In my opinion, the best thing to do is compare the SAME model number of whatever appliance your interested in, from various stores.

Retail stores can custom order the appliance with lower quality. Someday, mfg will get wise that this only hurts them!

Still waiting for purchase | Best Buy review from Phoenix, Arizona

This is my first and last time ordering anything from best buy.i purchased 6 cds and here it is 2 weeks later and im still waiting. i wish i knew about the customer service problems before i ordered.customer service was no help at all. i was told it will be another 2-3 days and my receipt stated this but theres nothing on my receipt that shows this.never again.best buy needs to be more specific about how long it takes to receive items ordered.all customers should read and be aware of their history with shipping problems.being this was my first time ordering from their website ,i will not use their service again.

False Advertising, poor customer service | Best Buy review from Bar Harbor, Maine

Walked into this Best Buy store and immediately saw an advertisement on an easel next to a table for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $199.00 with new 2 year activation. Moved forward to the Mobile department a few steps away and asked the clerk how much the phone was. The clerk told me that the phone was 349.00. I pointed out the sign and the clerk went on line and stuck to their price of 349.00 WITHOUT consulting management. I then asked what my (always cased) trade in S4 phone would be worth. The clerk told me that there were 'minor scratches' on the screen and offered me the poor condition price of $89 vs. $150 for a phone with fewer that 5 scratches. I went to the Cumberland Mall store, got the price on the phone that I wanted and also got the $150 for my old phone, which I used towards the purchase of the Note 3. Lesson learned? Use more than one location to skin the cat.

In most states you must honor the signed price. Next time you catch them in error contact the Better Business Bureau and the dept that regulates consumer pricing or accuracy.

In some states it's the Dept of Weights & Measures. If you really want to get involved bring the local media.

Some retail managers don't care about ethics or the law. They also get dinged for signing errors they must pay for out of their own budgets.

If there was an advertising error the mistake or retraction must be posted in the store but since they had a display they probably ran low on stock or didn't want to give out rain checks along with talking you into a higher priced item(some call it bait and switch). Also since turnover his high in retail you get a lot of ignorant don't give a heck employees.

funny how that could be. management must be being cut at one and running free. 2000 management employees got pink slips just last week!

Best Buy hasn't filed an official annual report or SEC 10-K in 2 years. They filed a 10-KT last March.

It's a transition report changing the date or timing of their yearly business cycle. This was a slick way of buying time. You can file for an extension but his looks more like the so called normal course of business.

Best Buy lucked out when Circuit City died buying them time. It's pretty bad when I can go to Target and buy things like phones, computers, tvs and software at very close and competitive prices to Best Buy-and they don't pressure you.
