Worst experience ever | Best Buy review from Boston, Massachusetts

I have spent a great deal of time in finding a computer and was ecstatic to find that it was in your stores. only to find out that it wasn't and I had to order it from you on line. which was find. four credit cards later I find out only after I called a store that it wasn't your web site but another. yet I was going through the best buy web site. when I called the number that the store had given to me for the web site I found the company didn't have the laptop had nothing to do with the ordering just the shipping and was very adamant that it was a best buy issues and has nothing to do with them. That if they best buy had the laptop on line then they had it to ship. once I told them for the fifth time that best buy didn't have it any more, the company I was talking to could. sell me the laptop but for fifteen hundred more with out a warranty. On top of all of this I find out that best buy did charge my credit card for the amount for a laptop that you don't even sell or have in the store. I had to call the credit card company and go through a hour of explaining what had happened to cancel out the charge. how can you as a company charge for a laptop that you don't sell or have control over?! I have never run into such a problem all around and am extremely disappointed in the store and who they meaning best buy does business with. due to this issue I will be telling my friends and family what has happened as well as on your online review. I hope this is a problem that will be fixed soon. I nor my family will ever visit or buy from this store again. I will also be deleting my online account and rewards program. these practices that you have put into place is extremely disappointing and worrisome. I have just got an email from them telling me that the laptop I wanted was in stock. however after calling it isn't. I had to go to another company for the laptop. It was four hundred dollars cheaper and was expedited for free. Never buy anything from here.

Buyer Beware | Best Buy review from Wellington, Texas

I purchased software from Best Buy on June 14th. Upon opening the box, I found nothing in it. The following Saturday (on my next day off) I drove 2 hours to the same Best Buy and told the manager what happened. I showed them the box and my receipt. They said that since I didn't call, they would not give me a refund. I didn't call because I knew I would be returning the following Saturday to pick up my computer that was being repaired and would handle it in person. So now I'm out of pocket 108.24 and no software! They told me to contact the software company. I work long hours and really don't have time for this! Some customer service.

You think that you're the first to be ripped off that way from Best Buy? Most people know someone that got screwed from Best Buy and yet they continue to shop there.

Just because their stores are close and "pretty" doesn't make it a good place to shop. Spread your story and hopefully someone, maybe one, won't get ripped off.

Service Plan that isn't... | Best Buy review from Tampa, Florida

My review is simple. Best Buy will gladly take your money month after month, but when it comes time to actually provide the service you're paying for, they will do the bare minimum while also demonstrating legendary incompetence. The service plan is a ripoff, plain and simple. I walked into the Apple store this morning, and within 5 minutes, the staff member had diagnosed my problems (something that three Geek Squad people were unable to do in over an hour). Additionally, and under no obligation to do anything for me, he solved the problem and retained me as a longterm customer. Best Buy has lost me as a customer, and the fact that I'm even taking the time to write this is rather silly since they've made it clear they don't care about the value of a customer.

The worst customer service experience I ever have | Best Buy review from Aurora, Illinois

I always like shopping at Best buy, but I am changing my mind after tonight's experience. I bought a new macbook air with my student coupon in YorkShire Plaza, Aurora on June 21, 2014. I was happy because I got a new computer. After I bought the Macbook Air. I found out a lot of people in the Dealmoon.com said the Best Buy can also take a another USPS movers 10% off coupon with this deal. The fact is there are people left comments said they did buy the macs with two coupons without any problem. I went back to the Best Buy at night to check is that ok to redeem my 10% off coupon. The lady in the customer service changed her face quickly after saw I already got a discount in my receipt. She said they can only took one coupon and I can do anything for you because that is a double dip. I said other customers can get both and why I can't. So I said I get you if it's ok to type it on your system to see how it shows, if your system shows it is not allowed then I will leave. I tried to ask her can she please just give a try many times. She keep refusing me and told me it will let her break the policy. She was talking the loudest and with really strong voice to me. I asked why there are differences between stores. She said, because the other stores may did wrong and broke the policies so she won't try it for me. Later, another lady came out said the same things and she also it is not fair to her if I am asking her to try the coupon code, because it means I am letting her to break the policies. What does the lady's words mean? So she means I am the bad customer to force your people to try the wrong thing? I don't understand why the customer services in this store think they are right with a impatient attitude to a customer, and said the other Best buy stores and customers in nations who got the deal were all wrong. I don't know what is BestBuy's policies in the ladies' minds and I am Not a Best Buy staff why I have to obey. Are all best buy check out policies different? Why I can't get what others can get? I don't know why I had terrible Customer Service even-though I spent my money in this store?!

Very few if any retail stores will allow you to combine promotions/coupons. It says this most often in the coupon itself.

If another store screwed up in your favor consider yourself lucky, but you are not entitled to profit from a mistake even if it does work.

So if the lady had entered the promo code and it worked, you would have gotten a further discount you technically weren't entitled to. And yes, you are a bad customer for trying to force someone to do the wrong thing, that's called stealing.

"low Price guaranteed" - a good tag line but who is Best Buy kidding?

I bought an hdtv on 6/16 at BB with scheduled delivery on 6/27. On 6/23 I found Sears had the same tv on sale at $40 less. Not a huge difference but I would like to find out how good BB is with their promise/commitment to customers. I called on 6/24 and was put on hold for more than 30 mins because the rep had to check my info out. First, she said Sears website was frozen so she couldn't verify my claim. she then said Sears said the offer isn't available for my area. By the way, this is the game that Best Buy themselves play all the time. They would advertize a low price but when you check into it, conveniently for BB, it is not available in your area. I told her, it cannot be true because I had it in my cart (because Sears make you put it in your cart to see the low price). A long story (and a long wait) short, I told her to cancel my order. That took another 20 minutes of waiting for her to come back to confirm the cancellation. In the meantime, I had already checked out at Sears website and scheduled delivery for 6/25. Good buy and good luck Best (or not so Best) Buy. I am not looking forward to dealing with you. Period.

Deal of the Day Scam | Best Buy review from Highlands Ranch, Colorado

ne of the advertised Deals of the Day was San Disk Cruzer 128 GB for $39, down from $139. Great deal so I ordered two. But I got an alert saying they were sold out. There was mention of 'limited quantities' but I ordered early in the day. I emailed customer service and the response was that the Cruzer was available, not sold out, at $139. There was no offer to sell me the deal of the day at the advertised price. I emailed back saying that no, I would like two Cruzers at the Deal of the Day advertised price, not the full price, but they have not responded and I don't expect them to. I'm thinking that to Best Buy, 'limited quantities' means one or two, or they probably wouldn't have offered such a good deal. It was just a way to get you to the Best Buy web site, hopefully to purchase something at full price. Seems like false advertising to me and their response to my email told me that I want nothing more to do with Best Buy.

Spent $800 on a phone that fell apart 50 days later. | Best Buy review from Watertown, Massachusetts

I spent $800 on a Galaxy S5 in April. Less than two months later the charging port fell out and they wanted me to pay $350 to get it replaced...I've spent well over 15 grand there in the last few years only to have some homophobic twenty something manager laugh in my face when I told them it was a manufacturer's defect. After them agreeing that there was no way in the world that the problem could have been done by me they still wouldn't do anything to help me. So I asked to speak to the store manager and they denied me the opportunity and on top of that, one of the employees made a limp wrist motion at another employee, blatantly implying that I'm ***... I'm a very forgiving person and always very polite and understanding but this experience was too upsetting to forgive. I'll never shop at Best Buy again.

So your issue is really with Samsung, not Best Buy. Instead of trying to get Best Buy to break their very clearly posted policies because you're so special, maybe try giving Samsung a call.

Cost to fix tv | Best Buy review from Saint Louis, Missouri

bought a TV from BB in 2011, power went out in 2014, cast to fix it is half of what I paid for the TV, total BS markup, no way a power switch and labor cost $460, I will never set foot in a BB again, and will share this with all my Face Book Friends. they should have some kind of an Idea how much it will cost before you leave your TV there, they know people are not going to want to take their broken TV back out of the store. I repeat, I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BEST BUY AGAIN...ever

I don't work for best buy, and don't really like them, but you sir are an entitled ***. they offered you protection, you didn't take it.

Now your tv is broken and because of your shortsightedness you have to pay to fix it. As to the cost, do you run a TV repair shop? Do you know how much the parts cost? Do you know how long am install on said parts takes?

I'll fill you in because you don't, there are parts on some TVs that cost a couple hundred bucks. 460 for a power system repair is fair, you are just cheap.

Seriously? In 2011, the cost of a 4 year plan for that TV was $100.

Try to get a TV tech to your house for that.

BTW; the price of TVs has gone down, and the quality is better. Get over it!
