BEST BUY Should be renamed Worst Buy

I needed to return a item bought at Best Buy today, but there return policy is as follows.. All items must be returned within 15 days. I was shocked that there was not even a 30 day grace period for returning an unopened box item. I feel this is very poor customer service will will make purchases elsewhere in the future. As our demands are busy (especially around Christmas season this is totally unreasonable for a store of this size. They are also the ones that will lay on a restock fee. The bad thing about it is that this policy was not posted anywhere on the receipt. The Customer Service Rep was of course very rude on top of it. I will stick with Staples or Costco from now on!

Recent TV Buying at Best Buy Monmouth Junction NJ

I returned the Samsung TV I bought because it didn't work and was obviously defective. I was completely stunned by the experience I had with the returns dept. Three people grabbed the box and began emptying it without even a word to me. They did not ask me what was the matter with the TV or why I was returning it, just where were the screws that were supposed to be in the box and the manual! They turned their backs to me and talked among themselves without even acknowledging I was standing there. Finally I said "excuse me" I would appreciate if someone would talk to me about the TV !! When it was decided and understood that I only wanted a replacement, they sent me over to get the associate in the TV dept to get one. When I returned to returns dept. The girl held her hand out for the receipt and didn't look at me or talk to me during this entire process!!! I didn't know they hired mutes in the returns dept.! I will never buy again at BEST BUY, the staff except for the original associate, Cameron (he was wonderful), are RUDE and have no people skills. During this holiday season other stores are bending over backwards to be nice and friendly to the consumer, this place was empty and now I know why! I went to their website but they don't even have a contact email to write to them. Guess they really aren't interested in what the customer has to say.

I had the absolute worst experience when working with Best Buy in Flint and Auburn Hills MI. The two managers I spoke to were Mike and Ross. I was told just because I work here doesn't mean I have to listen to you, I was told I have the power to exchange your item (which by the way was night less than two weeks ago and with a receipt in hand) but because it would cost the company money I don't want to. I was told by the manager in Auburn Hills that "it's not personal it simply business". "I do have the power to help you with this but I don't want the cost that's involved to affect my store"!!!They lack any level of professionalism or ability to provide a positive customer service experience. I am not letting this is issue go Best Buy needs to be held accountable for the way they treat their customers. I'm sure a company this large does not support not allow such blatant disregard for their customers at the hands of their employees!

Why did it take you almost 2 weeks to return? It sounds more like the manager was being candid with you and you couldn't handle it.

Went to buy a new refrigerator as mine stopped working this morning. There was a large moveable stairway in front of the Samsung large capacity fridges and I had to move it myself. Karen came by saying she was busy but would be back in a few minutes to help. She never did. I had decided on a fridge and it was 25 minutes later. I went to service to ask for help and they called someone who never came. I went back and they said the appliance guy would not be in until 11. Well it was 10:30, I had already been waiting 25 minutes. If you open at 9, then expect customer at 9 not 11 a.m. So I left and went and purchased the refrigerator and extended warranty at Home Depot. That $5,000 looks much better in their pocket. If you keep up this level of non service be ready to go out of business like your predecessor Future Shop.

I was in you store today in cranberry pa 12/21/15 To return a video that I purchased because it didn't work. When I was being help by a lady at the store who stood in front of me telling me the game is fine and used the exact words I'm a lier infrom of whole store which embarrassing me and my 70 year old dad. When I tried to explain to her that I didn't appreciate what she said and tried to explain what's wrong with game she once again said I was a lier in front of customer and store I told her I want a apology she did give me a refund for game and when asked to see manager she told me and my dad to leave before she called police which again was said in front of all customer in store. I am expecting something done apolicy will not work I want her terminated or I will be contacting attorney for all the embarrassment and defamation that I received in your store

today i went to best buy hoping to find a good deal on a led smart tv. After browsing the selection i found a open box sony Bravia 40" Led smart tv for 389.99 and asked to make sure all the plugs accessories and such were in the box. the employee showed me that yes everything was in there and that it looked like the tv had never been setup seeing as how everything except the power cable was still sealed in individual plastic bags. So i said great ill take it and even purchased the 2yr geek squad protection. i got home about 10 minutes later and took the tv out of the box. i see there is a circular crack/mark on the tv and hope that somehow it wont affect the picture. i pull out the power cord and there is nowhere to plug into the tv. its completely the wrong cord. so i pack it all back up and head to best buy. i got to the store about 45 mins from the time i purchased it and went directly to customer service. The customer service employee listens to my complaint and proceeds to pull out the tv. He tried to plug in the tv but of course failed seeing as how its the wrong plug. He then takes a look at the box and tells me that the tv he just pulled out is NOT the tv that was sold to me. What?!?!? So upon hearing this i ask him what exactly does he mean and he tells me that the tv in the box is like 4yrs old and that he cant do anything for me. i ask to speak to a manager and do my best not to explode because my small child is with me. while we wait for the manager i ask if theres any way to find out which employee helped me and he tells me well you can go find him. okay fine i walk around find the employee and explain the situation to him. he is apologetic and i ask him to verify its the same tv we both saw earlier and that i didnt put a different tv in the box. at this time the manager is here and the sales associate tells us both yes its in fact the same tv. okay so i then ask did i just pay for a box then and receive a dated tv that was also cracked? By this time two managers are trying to figure out what to tell me and one calls the sales associate to follow him to the back. they come back 5mins later and say that upon looking at the video footage theres no crack on the tv earlier so i must have damaged it. By this time i am irate and do my best to keep things civil. i ask so in spite of the fact that you are blaming me for the damage you admit the wrong tv was sold to me in the first place. how does that make sense. and so reluctantly he admits yes. okay so what now? he tells me this type of thing is above his authority and he is sorry but i will have to speak to the store manager tomorrow. so here i am at home waiting to go back tomorrow in hopes of resolving this issue but in all honesty i expect the manager to try to sidestep the fact that they sold me a box with the wrong tv in it and place the blame on me. this is very frustrating and absolute ***. i contacted corporate customer service and they basically told me its up to the store but that they completely understand my frustration and my anger and wish they could help. if this turns out to me getting robbed of $450 me nor anyone i know will be stepping foot in that store again.

$839 phone "delayed"

I have bought a phone through the website and paid for express shipping. However, on the day it was supposed to arrive, I was informed that the order was "delayed", expected to arrived "within 30 days". Without further explanation. In the email, it stated that I should check the status of my order and request a cancelation if I so wished. However, it is no easy matter and there is no way to actually do it. Trying to get in touch is arduous! Definitely not recommending anyone to buy from them

I ordered an item for Christmas on Dec. 9th, item never arrived. I tracked it on the 26th, too late for Christmas, and UPS had it down as delivered. Called UPS and BestBuy doesn't allow investigation till you call Best Buy and complain. So I called them. After a long wait the man told me I had called on the 18th and had spoken 'in depth' with a lady there who had left detailed messages about our (never happened) conversation. He wasn't a lot of help, basically implied I was lying. Results: they will reship but I won't get it tii Jan. 8th. Will NEVER order from them again, it was useless.

Best Buy - Unprofessional Delivery, Bad Customer Service!
First, the delivery guys took the doors and shelves/bins off the new fridge, and placed them in the wet grass and dirt, leaning them up unprotected, against the tree in my front yard. This is how Best Buy treats your brand new $3,000 appliances?! After they left I found two beetles crawling on the fridge, one inside one outside on the door! They did even not remove all the plastic and tape from many parts including ice maker, drawers, bins, doors, etc. They left so quickly we didn't even have time to inspect it while they were here. Doors are misaligned, fridge not getting cold, drinks are cool at best, not cold even after 24 hours. They did not cover it with any protection while moving it in through a tight doorway AS PROMISED at the store. Driver was rude and simply said "No." They did not hook it up for us because our water shut off valve was in a closet, even though at the store they said that would be no problem. Again, driver said "No!" Yesterday, a rep from Best Buy called to ask how delivery went. Told her about the door problem, she scheduled someone to come out today and said they would call me by 8 pm last night to confirm delivery time. Never called me! When I called today I was on hold a total of 50 MINUTES before finally being told the service was NEVER SCHEDULED! Said they would "try to get a driver to come back, but next appointment isn't until the Fourth of July! I purchased a 5 year extended warranty and the best they will do is send a DRIVER, not a technician, and not until 3 days after delivery of a faulty refrigerator? UNACCEPTABLE!

Best Buy online buyers BEWARE!

I thought I got a reasonable deal for an iPad Air 2 on the recent Black Friday sale. But I made the HUGE mistake of purchasing online (shipment via UPS). Best Buy never explained that they require someone be available IN PERSON to receive the UPS shipment. Not merely a proxy signature on the UPS sticky note, but someone at home! I work during the day and can't take a day off to stay home for UPS. Consequently, after 3 attempts to deliver, and despite my having signed the UPS "attempted delivery" sticky note, my iPad is now being returned to Best Buy. I'm out of luck. I get my money back, of course, but what good does this do me?! The best that Best Buy offered is to "let" me purchase a new iPad from my local Best Buy store at the same Black Friday sale price....but only when they get their item back from UPS...meaning about 2 weeks AFTER the day of my original online purchase. Repeat: NONE of this about being required to receive shipment IN PERSON is explained on the Best Buy website. Repeat: UPS will NOT (as they said, are not allowed to) accept their signed sticky note as a proxy for Best Buy shipments. I am totally unsatisfied with the resolution.

This is pretty standard with most companies shipping items worth over $100. If you leave a note on a signature, your neighbor could take the item and they claim non receipt. You always have the option to go to UPS and pick up your package.

Bought a washer and had it delivered. When they installed it the guy broke my pipe, kicked it aside as if nothing happened, hooked up the hose to the broken pipe then ran the washer. Water all over the floor gases emitting out of the sewer pipe and no one would call a plumber. It was an emergency because the gases now coming out of my sewer pipe are now toxic. NEVER GET ANYTHING DELIVERED BY THEM IF THEY USE A COMPANY CALLED SPIRIT. The guy would not leave my house because we refused to sign the delivery order so the police had to be called. Still fighting with them as it needs now to be brought up to code. I have 2 quotes. One much higher to bring up to code and one much lower to just fix as is. Of course they are paying the cheaper one. I will NEVER purchase an appliance at Best Buy again. I am looking some place else when I replace my dryer in a few months. I don't want anything to do with Best Buy again

About 6:30 PM last night I went into the Best Buy in the mall off of Imjin Road in Marina, Ca. I had 4 things I wanted to check out and buy. (I was ready to spend over $1,000.00) I walked through the whole store into the 4 different departments where the items were. It's a large store. There were many sales people on the floor in their blue outfits. In EVERY case, whenever I saw a salesperson, they were talking with 1 or more of their coworkers and in 1 case there were at least 6 hanging out at a desk. I was invisible to them. NOT ONCE was I asked if I needed help in any way. They were all content with having a fine time hanging with their buddy coworkers. I'm thinking that Best Buy's new policy is for the customer to ask THEM for assistance. NOT ACCEPTABLE! I guess they don't care about selling their inventory, much less customer service. Well, There is the internet, Fry's and Costco where we can buy everything Best Buy carries. I seriously hope that store fails and has to close. I had to laugh when the Best Buy "greeter" at the door said "Thank You" to me as I was leaving.

The WORST customer service!!! I purchased TV & wall mount for add $200. I then purchased TV setup for $150 more. When I called, they said that TV mounting is additional $100, but they couldn't add it to the purchase; I need to go on-line to add it. While on-line I see the same wall mount, setup & tv mounting for $350. For the same product & installing I had to cancel the initial setup and return the wall mount, then reorder the $350 package. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes to get the refund on the installation!!! Finally a manager got on the line and offered to call me back when the refund was completed. Not including my time to return the SAME wall mount to the local store! Best Buy needs to change its name to Worst Service!!!

Wife went to buy a phone case and the salesmen states, "Are you confused about which phone you have?" What !!! Same day say place....Samsung employee (?) knew no specifics about the tablets and for fun ask him if it could play FLAC files. "Hey Joe can these play flac files?" Sounds like future used car salesman. Besides, being totally brain dead about the product, even with the Samsung shirt on, gave us bad information on the tablets and kept hounding us to buy a tablet. In addition , the store was disorganized, dirty, and poorly lit. I can see the end is near for these stores
