Review about Laptop Repair | Best Buy review

Took my laptop to get repaired and a virus removal scan. Repaired it and got it back in worse condition. Couldn't open any thing because they didn't remove the virus. Plus I was told they did a scan. Liars.

Open box return | Best Buy review from Stockton, California

I purchased an open box toshiba laptop. Sales girl assured me that the computer was in perfect condition. Used the computer twice and the mouse pad stopped working. Took it to geek squad and they said I could return it or exchange it, but pay the difference. Decided to return it. They said I would only get store credit, but I didn't want that. A manager said I could pay to get it fixed, even though they sold me a broken item. I asked if they would fix it for free since the geek squad agent confirmed that something was wrong with the computer, not something I had done. The manager said I would have to pay $40. The manager said I could take the store credit or keep a broken item and that was my only option. I didn't understand how they could sell a broken item and not fix it. I didn't want the store credit because I literally never buy electronics. I didn't want to spend extra money fixing something they sold me broken. There was no way I could win in the situation so I took the store credit and now I have $250 to spend at best buy and I don't want anything from best but. Manager was very rude and unhelpful.

I bought a router and on day 15 found on sale 30 dolLars cheaper but saw add late went next day with ad and receipt was told only 15 days got swrewed can't return can't get refund have in past always bought computers etc not no more 15 days will find other place with better service

East coast retailer hhgregg has not only a 30 day return policy, but a 90 day price match guarantee as well. If the item you purchased goes on sale anywhere within those 90 days, they'll pay you the difference. Best Buy has never been good at service after the sale.

Upgraded phone for sprint carrier | Best Buy review from Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania

Sprint wouldn't allow my local store to upgrade my phone. something about my plan being an old un-limited plan. They were pushing the friends & family. So I went to Best Buy. While the customer service at Sprint has always been good at the store I frequent, the customer service at Best Buy is abismal. First I purchased a LG 3 phone. When I got home I tried to install one note on the devise. Not compatable, I checked online and discovered it was a problem with screen resalution and not likely to fixed anytime soon. Within 12 hrs. I went back to Best Buy to exchange it for one that would work with one note. I use that a lot for work. It's important to me. If I am buying a $700.00 phone it should work as I want it. First problem with the store rep., he told me that they could not change phones because I program was incompatable, but he soldered on and got me a HTC one. He was supposed to activate the phone in the sto, and trasfer my information from one phone too the new phone. When I left the store the phone was turned on and I couldn't make or receive calls. I went back to the store and asked why. The rep. told me that it amy take 2 hours for the new phone to work. After waiting 4 hours with still no connectivity I started to doubt the rep completely. For some reason I turned the phone off completely and re started it. Then it worked. Evidently the store rep. neglected to re-start my phone in the store and I would have been waiting forever to get a phone call. They get paid by sprint to provide this service to thier customers. They are not doing it for free. They are trying to establish themselves as the go to place for mobile. They are failing miserably. When I went, as soon as the store was open, there was nobody there but me and the representative. There was no excuse for the service I received. I won't be sorry to see them disappear.

Extremely Rude Customer Service | Best Buy review from Newark, Delaware

I have 3 daughters in college, one of whom is starting her first year at university this year. They were having a great college student deal with Macbooks. I walked in with my 3 daughters with the intention of purchasing a Macbook for each of them. The first thing a sales rep says to us is "I'm refusing to sell any more to you because you've already purchased one". We were appalled because never have I ever experienced something like this before. I will have 3 daughters in college and they all need a reliable computer. After that very rude comment from that sales rep, I promptly left the store and drove to Apple to happily spend a little extra money for better service. I will never visit this Best Buy again, I would happily drive an extra distance than go to this one at Christiana in Newark, Delaware. If this is how they treat their customers, this is unacceptable. I recommend others to go to another Best Buy or other electronics store.

Good for you for making this known ! I only wish you had asked the store manager to come over and told him of this in front of the employee.

It would have been interesting to see how the manager handled it.

However, the manager may have not been any better. I don't plan to ever go to another Best Buy either due to a bad experience with them and also rude manager.

Not Best Buy but Worst Everything - refuses to make good on defective fitbit band.

The only reason a person would ever shop at best buy would be because they couldn't wait two days for Amazon to ship. I purchased 2 fitbit's. Within two weeks the band came apart. It didn't break, it just came apart where it is glued together. I returned it to best buy and the smart-*** kid in customer non-service was intent on not helping. They wanted to know if I was a rewards member. Wanted to know if I bought the extended warranty. Apparently to push their service warranties, they are now not servicing defective items. I will never walk into a best buy again.

If you don't want to pay for best buy'a service plans then don't expect them to service your items after the return policy.

After Best Buy's 15 day return policy it becomes a manufacturer's warranty issue, not a Best Buy issue.

Best Buy - Faulty Hd Tv Adaptor Review

I bought a MHL hdtv adaptor had it for about a month and it stopped working I didn't have a receipt so I was *** outta luck so I bought another one used it for about a month and it stopped working AGAIN this time I kept the receipt I go to return it and they tell me there's only a 15day return policy on electronics they wouldn't even exchange it for a new one they pretty much took my 80$ and said *** u. 15days come on now like any electronics will get damaged in 15days *** *** BEST BUY!!!

Go back and tell them that you're returning a defective product out if policy and you will do an exchange or take store credit and ask to speak to a manager.

I worked at best buy and the one I worked at never had an issue like this.

And that is why after 15 days you contact the manufacturer because it is now a warranty issue with the manufacturer not Best Buy's problem.

Insignia tv quit after 9 mos-Poor Best Buy Customer Service

My daughter bought an insignia tv for her brother and purchased the extended warranty. After 9 mos the TV suddenly smelt like something was burning. She took it to Best Buy for repair. 2 1/2 weeks later still no TV. My daughter and son made numerous calls to find out the status. It seems no one knew where it was. They were transferred numerous times between the Geek Squad and the store. When my son asked why it took so long for them to ship it for repairs, he was told they ran out of bubble wrap. Really?? My son finally tracked it down, but still no one could tell him when it would be repaired. Their answer was check back in another week. None of our family will ever buy anything from Best buy again. Their promise of good service with the extended warranty is worthless and bogus.
