I ORDERED A PART FROM BEST BUY, MISS THE DELIVERY, I WAS TOLD BY UPS THAT IT WAS GOING BACK TO THEIR FACILITY.....WAITED BUT NO REFUND SO I DECIDED TO CALL AND THIS WENT ON FOR WEEKS AND STILL DIDN'T GET MY REFUND.. I WAS TOLD IT WASN'T SUBMITTED TO THE RETURN DEPARTMENT.WHEN IT WAS FINALLY "SUBMITTED" I WAS TOLD IT WILL REFLECT ON MY BANK STATEMENT IN 2 CYCLES.... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? THAT MEANS IN 2 MONTHS.... I CALLED EVERYDAY FROM THEN ON...... AS OF TODAY.... STILL WAITING.... THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED AND SHUT DOWN...

Do not disclose all cell phone fees and managers customer skills SUCK | Best Buy review from Northglenn, Colorado

I recently went into best buy in Northglenn, CO to purchase a new cell phone & hotspot. I went in and the guy who sold me the S5 and Hotspot said NOTHING about any activation fees, he said its all free your a new customer ,ya-da ya-da. I said how much will my monthly bill be, and how much to upgrade data plans. He said my bill would be around $140 and $5 more a month to add 4more GB of data, great I was sold. I get my first bill well over $200, WTF! I go to Verizon and they said I paid an activation fee I wasn't supposed to due to user error at Best Buy. I was told to contact Best Buy, I did, BIG MISTAKE!! First associate on the line flat out says "Best Buys doesn't make mistakes I activate phones all day and Verizon is wrong" I explain I was just at Verizon Corporate Store and a Manager there said it was user error on Best Buys behalf and they just needed to correct it in they system. He didn't even listen just he told me there was "nothing he could do it wasn't his fault". I asked them to pull up a receipt to just go over it with me, he did with an attitude and told me "All you paid for was taxes out the door, so I don't know why you are complaining". I explained the activation fee again and I wanted was someone to help me fix it. His response was "You didn't pay us anything so we don't owe you anything". I asked for a manager who was WORSE than the associate I had dealt with. This manager Mike, Micheal or Mark whatever tells me "Its not Best Buys fault its Verizon" His solution "Come into the store and talk to a cell phone person and they will call Verizon and figure it out, WE did nothing wrong and owe you nothing" I asked if I could come and he could help me personally and he told me "NO" I said well what am I supposed to tell the associate when I tell them a manager sent me, he says "Oh, give them my name and I give them approval but when you come in this could take a few hours so they can call Verizon" WTF again! I hung up and called Verizon, now that was a pleasant experience! She was knowledgeable, NICE and fixed Best Buys MISTAKE. Point here Best Buys customer service is worse than a fast food drive through! They don't care about the person at all, the act as if complaints are a burden. My solution, train your people right! especially those who sell cell phones and who talk to people on the phone! I did customer service for 15yrs and would have been fired on the SPOT for telling someone the things I was told over the phone. Full disclosed is best in any sale especially high dollar ones like expensive phone and two year contracts. I will NEVER go back, first time customer who will NEVER return!!!

Would not accept return on fraudulent CD they sold | Best Buy review from Danbury, Connecticut

I purchased a compilation CD at Best Buy. I think most people are familiar with this genre of music. The best of the 60's, 70's, 80's or of particular artists or categories of music. I wanted this to keep in my car. On the outside of the package of this "Collectors' Edition" it listed all of the songs and artists and stated that these were recordings by the original artists. When I left the store and put the disc into my CD player I was shocked to hear second rate recordings by unknown singers and lousy orchestration. I went back to Best Buy and was told that they will not accept returns of any open CD, only an exchange for an identical one if it is defective. They told me that Federal law prohibits returns. That is very nice for the marketers of this ***. But what protection is there for the consumer? None, folks! "Customer Service" even accused me of going out and making a copy of this piece of $#@% and returning the original after "stealing" the music. We just left the CD on the counter and walked away with Mr. Customer Service calling out, "Don't you want your CD, you paid for it" No, thank you. This is especially infuriating because two weeks ago we bought a big screen TV and dishwasher for $3000.

This is disheartening to hear because I had a similar issue at Best Buy that was handled quite differently. This happened a few years ago: I purchased the Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack and nothing on the package seemed unusual.

I get in my car, pop it in my cd player and find out the entire soundtrack is censored. No special sticker or label on the cd, it's not in a clearance or other odd section. I went back in the store to see if they even had another copy figuring maybe the record label did some screwy release which might be different on another copy (plus I knew chances were low they would take back an open cd). With no other copies and nothing else I wanted I went up to customer service and explained what happened.

The girl looks to her manager who gave the go ahead.

I got my money back, no problem. So it sucks to hear that Best Buy would not afford you the same courtesy.

Baiting | Best Buy review

Purchased a W/D set online. Waited two weeks for delivery and on day of delivery, they called and said it's back ordered and rescheduled delivery in a month. No thanks. What if it's back ordered again. So called customer service to see what can be done. They found me a more expensive W/D that can be delivered in 5 days. Initially saying they will meet my original purchase price for all the hassle and being on the phone for 45 minutes; after canceling my original order, I was charged for the new W/D then my card was charged. Before customer service completed the call with my new order number AND NEW CHARGES or over $500.00 more. I could have cancelled and repurchase without being on the phone for an hour. Uhg!! So basically baited me. I purchased a set of washer and dryer at a great sales price. Day of my delivery my delivery was cancelled and moved back another month. Told to call BestBuy and they found me another washer and dryer set that costs MORE. What a rip off.

It sounds like there was some communication issues. Probably a good reason to go somewhere else.

It's a good reason to not purchase online. Go in store and get a sales associate that will oversee the delivery.

Today I went to Best Buy because they had a great deal for Ipad mini. I went in with my sisters because they wanted one too. I told them that it was really cheap. So we went into the store and they had a few people in line. I had a friend that was in front of me and the man who was working was very rude. It was the worst customer service I ever had. He would not let my friend use her father's reward card because "its not under her name" which was really weird. Also he said that she needed ID to buy. She was 16 about to get her licenses and they told her no. When I went to buy one, they had to check my ID and my reward card to see if they were the same. There were many people behind me and the man who was working told them that there was ONLY 4 left when I saw a girl bring out 10 ipad mini. I was so mad because those people who did not get any. I also view that most of the people in line to buy these were Asian people and i feel like they were being prejudice against Asian people. I guess some people have not change and this is why I am not ever coming back to this store again. They need to find better workers to service people.

I had a horrible expierence when trying to ask about a job at the best buy mobile in gurnee mills mall. I walked in and asked an employee at the register about how the job was, how old you have to be, and about customers. When I got to the part about wage/benefits it all turned south. He had a disgusted look on his face then told me that my application would be better suited "across the way" which would be the Victoria's Secret outlet across the hall. The fact that he tried to make a *** insult at me just disgusted me. We are living in the 21st century and we are still doing this? Inexcusable

How is Best Buy supposed to fix this with you at your house? They can't activate the jetpack from your house.

They asked you if you wanted them to activate it and you said no.

Not their fault you were in a hurry, not their fault Verizon wouldn't activate it. And no they aren't going to reimburse you for your travel YOU said don't activate it I'm in a hurry.

Incomplete information | Best Buy review from Irving, Texas

​Bought three cell phones at Best Buy and included Geek Squad insurance for each phone. Was never told there was a 150.00 deductible although I was told I did sign an acknowledgement. Don't remember that at all. My daughter also bought a phone at the same time and she does not remember anyone saying anything about the deductible. Found this out when I took one of the phones in to have a cracked screen fixed. I would need to pay 150.00 to repair the screen when I can have Samsung replace it for 162.00. I am paying 10.61 a month for insurance that will only save me about 15.00 on the repair. Have another daughter who was told about the insurance but was also told they would wave the deductible if it was brought back to that store. Does something seem to be wrong with this picture?

I called best buy if i can return an item and buy again that day since the price went down $50. They told me they can take care of it on the phone since my brother is an elite plus member. So after two weeks i called to followup on the status since no amount difference was credited back to my account. Then they said there was no processing happening, in short as if i didnt call last time. Then they passed the call to 5 different people until i talked to an agent, who was pissed herself because a lot of people has asked her to take this call. Then she just suddenly told me if i want her to break the company policy. I said what?! She just asked me to give her a brief background of the return and then she just suddenly gone mad. omg. Had no choice but to hang up coz it doesnt make sense to talk to people like that! That person is sooooo rude, best buy should flush out all those bad customer service out of their system!

Visited your store on 8/27/14 had an associate assist me in looking for a power station. She took me over. I saw most expensive power station were on the top. And less expensive were on the bottom .I pointed to the one on the bottom for 19.99 she pulled it off the peg....

Did they check the tag? Most of the time if its not the same model number then honestly they really don't have to honor it. A customer, such as yourself was probably looking at it and put it in the wrong spot.
