Don't buy the cheap pc games | Best Buy review

i bought call of duty 2 for sixteen bucks. i shoulda known it was a fluke. Idk what kind of business they are running but that is not what I'd expect from a big company. maybe from a bid on ebay, but not best buy. Theres a reason the Pc game aisle is two feet wide, DON'T BUY THEM. The game barely installed and when it did install, it took hours. Then when I tried to open the game it took forever and then just kept crashing and freezing. Y do I have to type 100 words???? I think everyone gets the point right? Dont buy best buy video games!

I think your title should be "Don't buy cheap PCs". It's not Target's fault your *** computer can barely run a game.

What! BB does not produce the games...

they sell them.

If you have a complaint, write to the company that published the game! Why not blame the electric company because your internet is slow?

Best Buy does nothing differently with their games. They come directly from the factory in the same condition they would arrive at Gamestop or Walmart. Maybe the disk(s) were just bad, it happens, but Best Buy doesn't make their own version of Call of Duty.

I purchased a phone from Best Buy MONTHS ago, it shipped late so I returned it and I still have not seen my refund. The phone was not open or damaged. The only reason I returned the phone was because it arrived later than I had been told it would arrive. I went to best buy and purchased another phone in the meantime, being assured I could return the phone once it was delivered. I still to this day haven't seen my refund AND I am told 300 different reasons why. Best buy customer service is horrible. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere! Order BBY01-636302028062

Stupidest BEST BUY deal of the 21st century.

Bought a "refurbished" laptop, in the box was the computer and a plug, no papers, no instructions, no specs. A paper said to go online for instructions, the laptop is discontinued so there are no instructions available, nothing available, I cannot even find out what features it has, I would have to guess at how to use it, and at the Best Buy page I bookmarked for the computer... has disappeared. The model # doesn't exist now because they have discontinued the item. "say what???" This is the stupidest deal I have ever ever seen. I have used Best Buy for years, never ever again. What a *** deal!!!

This is a case of consumer education. The last 4 desktops, 5 monitors, and 3 laptops, have all been refurbished units (most from Woot or Moofi).

All work great. I research first online to see if I can find the manuals, firmware, updates before purchasing. In all cases, the discontinued products are still available, but in a different area in the support site.

One only needs to spend a little time. That is, unless it's a laptop/desktop made by Joe's fly-by-night!

Warn the USA about the stupidest deal of this century and the bother of having to spend time on the phone to return this, go to the post office pay for the return and pick out another computer and another company to buy from other than BEST BUY.

Best Buy Can't Find My TV

Took my Samsung TV to the Lynnwood, WA geeks for repair under warranty. They shipped it off to their geeks in California on one of their own trucks with absolutely no way to track where it is. Took two weeks to arrive only to be told there's nothing wrong with it. BS!! California geeks shipped it back next day and now it's 19 days later and still no TV or a clue as to where it is. The work order guarantees 2-4 weeks and they are 4 days over that. This is important because my Samsung warranty runs out in a month and I'll still need to get it fixed. I'll never buy another thing at Best Buy. Everyone I've had contact with, from the manager, geeks to sales has been nothing but frustration.

I called about an order that had been placed for my fiancee's new laptop and was told that I could not personally have access to the order, to which I said okay, but could they just not cancel the order until he is able to call and sort the order out. The woman started to raise her voice at me when I asked her this simple question, so I then in return became increasingly cross with her attitude and then she had the nerve to hangup on me! Absolutely useless people work for their customer service line and if that is how they treat their customers then I do not want to ever shop there again.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I ordered the T.V. online their website crashed twice leaving me looking at a locked screen that said something like "please wait for confirmation".

So I called customer service the first time that happened and was told to wait 24 hours to see if the transaction went through. Are they kidding? Best Buy is horrible. I should wait 24 hours to see if I purchased something?

Best Buy's website doesn't work and you certainly can't trust it. The information about the Geek Squad delivering product and setting up product is false. The Geek Squad doesn't deliver and getting them to set up on Saturday is almost impossible unless you want to wait a month. Their retail stores even look horrible!

Their sales clerks are the worst. And their online customer service is the most uneducated, incompetent, group of unhappy workers I've ever come across. In fact, for a few of the Best Buy clerks, it sounded like they just woke up from sleeping as they were practically yawning into the phone. What a pathetic, horrible store Best Buy has become.

It seems they are planning to go out of business and that would explain the lowest quality and the poorest customer service. I just think they're brain dead high school drop-outs. With that lowest quality of workers, Best Buy's days are numbered. It seems obvious that they will go out of business very soon.

And we will all cheer that day!

Putting Best Buy out of its misery is the Best thing we can do for electronic retailers, for any future customers, and certainly for the Best Buy employees who would obviously rather be doing anything else than working at this mess of a store. Best Buy gives electronic retailers a very bad name indeed!

Needed a replacement item under a different geek squad plan--No problem-we can't help you. Standard answer from any location across the US on ANY issue--No problem--we can't help you. I used to buy everything for my house from best buy for the last 15 years. Nothing but hassle on every item with the exception of purchasing a single coca-cola from the cooler next to the checkout stand Now I will not buy anything--No problem--I won't help you!!!

To set up Video set up | Best Buy review from South Dennis, Massachusetts

On 8/16/14 Geek Squad came to my house to set up a new TV, take away the old, and set up a DVR/Video Cassette Recorder. Geek Squad squad the Video Recorder would be too difficult for me and told me to go and get an easier one and call them to install it. I got the new and easier one and called them and left a message but no returned the call , I went to Best Buy in Hyannis and asked them to make an appointment for Geek Squad to come over and do the set up. They told me that I would have to pay extra for the set up to happen, I said I was not going to pay for same thing twice.

They "apparently" don't carry card readers/adapters... | Best Buy review from Aurora, Ontario

I walked into the Aurora, ON location today on a simple mission to replace my memory card reader as the chord was damaged. I was hoping I could save some money and only need to replace the chord rather than the adapter as well but I wasn't against it. I brought the chord in and showed one of the very confused blue shirted men who simply told me, "I don't think we have that but uhhh, maybe you can check the cable section that way" and pointed his finger across the store. I soon realized he was with another costumer but some kinder words and a more direct location would have been helpful. After looking in the proper section I had no luck but spotted the same blue shirted man making his way out the front with his home bag packed. So I thought I would try my luck with another employee who seemed a bit more capable, at least I had assumed. Showed him my chord as well but to my luck there was none, then when I had asked if he could show me where the card readers where for a compact flash it was as if I was speaking another language and his go to sentence came up for an unknown product that makes it seem like he knows what he is talking about, "Sorry ma'am we don't carry those, your best chance would be to try and find it online." I was very unimpressed by this awful sentence, not that they are out of stock or could you clarify what your looking for, it was a blunt nope we don't sell it and you won't have luck finding it anywhere else so you should check online where they sell weird vintage card readers.... I didn't bother another second with another employee, because at this point I felt like an *** walking around asking for some help to find a simple item. I made my way over to Henry's and with in 5 minutes I was in and out with a brand new card reader. Oh and once I got home I took a chance to see maybe I was the *** in this story and I looked up card readers on the Best Buy website, they've got at least a dozen different types of them.

I've called four times this evening asking to speak to an ON-SHORE agent. I don't think it's too much to ask to speak to someone who speaks fluent, comprehensible ENGLISH when I live in the USA and bought a product from a store in the USA. I've been directed to OFF-SHORES all four times that I've called. A-They don't understand what I'm saying and B. I don't understand what they are saying. This is unacceptable. Especially when I clearly state that I want to speak to an American. Each time I ask to be re-directed to an on-shore site, they put me on hold for significant lengths of time. This is what is wrong with our country...we sub-contract off-shore and don't employ our own citizens in need of jobs. I'm disgusted with this company and will NEVER buy from them again!
