Panasonic and Best Buy. Worst customer service ever!

We purchased a Panasonic Microwave from Best Buy on September 24th 2014. The latch broke on October 24th 2014 and the microwave will not work. We have owned it a total of 30 days... We took it back to Best Buy, they referred us to the manufacturer. Called Panasonic to report problem, and they gave us a case number, and said we would be called back within 24 to 48 hours. Still waiting...I finally call them back today, was on hold for over 30 minutes. I tried to call corporate in the United States. Their call center sends you back overseas. Will not purchase a Panasonic product anymore, and will not purchase from Best Buy either. Spent $135 for a product that worked for 30 days...

Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. After that it's a manufacturer's warranty issue.

There is no reason for Best Buy to take that microwave back.

This goes for any retailer, the only difference between them is how many days they choose to give you. But once you pass the return/exchange timeframe Best Buy, Walmart, Target and any one else will tell you deal with the manufacturer.

Bad experience with Sales Person | Best Buy review from Vidor, Texas

Yesterday, I went to Best Buy in Lafayette, La. to purchase an external Hard Drive and a new computer. There were several similar models so I waited for a salesperson to help me. After about 15 minutes, one man seemed not busy with anyone so I walked up to the desk and asked if someone could help me with the computers. He rudely exclaimed, "There are only two of us so you'll just have to wait a few minutes". I apologized and went to stand next to the computers. For 20 additional minutes, I watched him joke with co workers and talk on his cell phone. I noted the price on several models and went straight to Sams where I found the exact model Best Buy was selling for $700+ and got it for $485. So after all, I guess BB's rude behavior saved me money. I will never shop there again~

Item #5041656 Igloo 10 cubic feet refridgerator advertised for $224.99. My husband went online to order. The website said it could not be shipped to store or delivered to our home. So he called customer service, which first transferred him to a store that was closed. Then he called back and they said that this product was only available in the Midwest. If it is not available in all areas, then it should stated that on their website. Instead they told him to pick another one. We have purchased quite a few electronic products from Best Buy in the past, but after this experience, we will shop somewhere else. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

You should really learn to read. The website clearly states it's on Clearance and furthermore says Delivery "Most Areas", not all. Learn to read and get on with your life

I purchased a Samsung galaxy s4 unlocked online 07/04/14 there's an issue with the sound I reported the matter to the relevant personel who then informed me it was an issue for Samsung to handle. I contacted Samsung representatives who then put me onto Bestbuy stating they are the ones responsible as i purchased the phone from them since then the issue hasn't been settled I'm looking into legal procedures as i was informed that I was sold a refurbished phone my receipt however shows the phone advertised as new Customers be ware when buying stuff online at bestbuy especially phones im stuck with a problematic phone and bestbuy has my $$$$$$$$$$

I spent nearly $1,000 on Sonos (a bridge and 3 speakers) and after installing the software the app shortcut appeared only on my desktop. I asked the Ridgedale help desk how to add the shortcut to my Windows 8 start screen. The answer was that “they offered a Windows 8 class on Thursday and (however) it was filled up”. I consider this a non-answer and a brush-off. I have subsequently found the answer on google and it takes two clicks of the mouse. The service at their help desk has been very disappointing. This has happened before. After I bought a lap-top, I was not familiar with the operation of the Fn key when using the function keys. The help desk was not able to answer a simple question that was solved by using the Fn key..

I made a purchase online 10/25/14 and went to my local store to retrieve my purchase. I had printed the order confirmation that showed that I had already paid for the items and was prepared to show my credit card and identification when I arrived at the store. When I went to the area for online pickup, the 4 employees all had their backs turned away and ignored me for a few minutes. When one of them finally acknowledged me, I gave them my printed confirmation (which had my name and order number on it); the employee promptly asked me what my name was (maybe she couldn't read) and I spelled it for her. She then asked for my credit card and identification, which I gave her my credit card and showed her my driver's license. She said that I need to take the license out of my wallet even though it was clearly visible in my wallet's clear cover. I complied with her request and she barely looked at my license and gave it back to me with my credit card. A second employee who was watching this entire episode, then asked me for my credit card again, which I informed her that she already saw me provide my card to the other employee standing right next to her. She insisted that I had to provide her my credit card again and if I didn't like it, she would call a manager to come over. Both employees were very rude and disrespectful and would cause me to never visit that store again or any Best Buy store. The manager came over (Allen Ditch) and asked me what the problem was; I informed him that the employees standing next to each other asked me to produce my credit card again after I already provided it to them and had put it away in my wallet. The employees attitude was disrespectful and Mr. Ditch's attitude was even worse and basically walked away from me when I complained about the treatment that I was getting from trying to get an item that I already paid for online. I have no plans on going back to the Best Buy store in Bel Air, Maryland and will probably return the items that I purchased online after I obtain the items frim HH Gregg, Amazon, or some other retailer. I will also post my poor experience on all of the social media until Best Buy puts forth a real apology and counsels Mr. Allen Ditch and the rest of the staff at the Bel Air, MD store in how to treat customers who purchase from Best Buy.

Not posted anywhere is that if you make a purchase with a best buy gift card YOU DO NOT GET ANY MEMBER POINTS. The trick is if you buy let’s say a video game for the Xbox. But when you take it back unopened bought online, to get it exchanged for the PlayStation version, here is where the game starts. The store puts the refund on a BestBuy gift card, guess what? They take the points away they already gave you for the original purchase and because they put your refund on a gift card. Like I said at the start, they don’t give any points or any bonus rewards for the purchase with the gift card they just gave you. Keep in mind I am an elite plus member and I paid 100 a year to get those gamers point Rewards/discounts. See with the gamers unlocked your supposed to get 10$ on most game and hardware preorders, plus close to another $5 for the 20% game or hardware discount ,then you add the 20% for being an elite plus member. But it appears in my opinion that BestBuy does whatever they can to not pay out all those points because their losing money. Then when you complain too much they assign you to a supposed exec support tech whose job is to argue and beat you down. No one else will talk to you. This is just the tip of the iceberg; I am handicapped I can’t get in the store with it let alone maneuver around and no consideration at all for handicap. The list goes on and on. Honestly you’re better off going to amazon, Newegg, GameStop get the prime with Amazon and even tax and the lower price you get the same deal less hassle or better yet Micro Center blows BestBuy away. I won’t buy a pencil from BestBuy again. I am a 35 year computer IT and some of the things I heard from the computer sales and Geek squad to some of the novice and beginners is just sickening. Let’s put it this way if you buy the manufacture warranty your much better off. You can get the manufacturer’s warranty on just about everything sold at best just buy calling the manufacture it’s cheaper in most cases and much better. With Microsoft hardware I always get a minimum 3 day turnaround Dell is next day in home 3 yrs. for the same price as BestBuy. Don’t let them talk you into anything. It was a sorry day when we lost COMP USA AND ENDED UP WITH BESTBUY IN MY OPINION

I also have a $1000 ghost order that has been taken from my checking account without any authorization. I have to wait 3-5 days to get my money back.

I don't know how they can get away with this. I think they are stealing and the police should be involved.

In the fine print that you failed to read it said the phone can't have its water indicators tripped or cracks in it. And I don't understand how this would even be a "bait and switch".....? Stores don't really do this, but oh well i guess you're still living in 2007
