Best Buy in Fresno, California - Horrible customer service. Lost long customer

3.2
Details
I was looking to buy a tv from best buy that was open box. After numerous calls and being told by workers at best buy when asking to speak with a manager I was told they are closing in 30 minutes and to call back the next day! A few days later my fiancé and I went into the store and was told the tv was not for sale that they never had one that online was wrong. So we ended up buying one brand new. We did not have a truck so we had it delivered. They delivered it a few days later. We unboxed it set it up and went out of town for a couple days. When we got back we were finally able to use it only to find the screen had white pixels on the bottom left. I immediately called and told them which was on a Thursday. I was told they could not bring one till next Wednesday. Which I agreed to. I was also asked to please re box the 70" tv. Later that night we found out the upgraded model was only $100 more so we decided to ask to change it to the upgraded model. We were told we would have to pay another $2000 if we wanted the tv since we would not get the refund until they picked it up between 7am and 7pm on Wednesday. We asked if they would still honor the price the next week since they sale ended that Sunday. Which of course they said no. On that Monday we called and cancelled our order. We just wanted to return the tv and get our credit back on our credit card. They assured us that it was cancelled and they would still be picking it up. Wednesday was our day off we waited there all day until 7pm and no one showed up! I immediately called the BB location we bought the tv and spoke with a manager who was very nice and apologized up and down and assured he would figure out what happened and was upset that he lost our business because best buy online would not "play ball" on the price. He said he would call back. He returned with a phone call 15 minutes later saying he apologized again and said ( I know this is a dumb question. But, do you even have a tv of ours because we don't show we have even delivered it ).... Seriously !?!? Again, he said he would get to the bottom of it and have someone come pick it up... He said he would call the next day... I waited for his call.. No call, I called best buy he already left. I called the next 5 days and he was either off that day or already left. Every time leaving a message with no return call. I finally spoke with another manager who had someone out the next day to pick it up... It's been 4 days since then and my card still shows the charges.. Let's see if they actually return it. Best buy... Seriously we got a credit card with you just for this tv. And now we want to destroy this card to never have to think about getting anything with you again.... So disappointing.

Best Buy in Culver City, California - Razer Blackwidow Keyboard Was Not In The Box It Had Been Swapped!

5.0
Details
I was on holiday from Australia and purchased over $600 in Razer products from their Culver City store. I get home to find that one of the Razer Ultimate Chroma keyboards I paid $169.99 for had been swapped and inside the box was a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate worth $109. Contacted the help desk, they are useless. They told me I had to return to America to swap it, ($1800 for a return ticket), then they told me to give it to a friend or relative in America to swap for me, I don't have anyone in America. Spoke to the store manager, nothing they can do. Clearly this is has been swapped in store by staff, a customer couldn't do it, too many cameras around. I was willing to pay postage to return the item so they could send me what I paid for, they won't. That's not how we do customer service in Australia, surely a huge company like that could afford to send an item to Australia to exchange and give me the product I paid for.

Firstly, when was the last time you purchased a Razer keyboard? They are intricately packed.

It takes quite a long time to get the cable to fit properly in its little space. How is a customer going to do that and then make it look like it hasn't been opened? Why hasn't the store manager any power to do anything about this issue, why be a store manager then.Secondly I have contacted their help centre via email numerous time to be told a different answer every time. They don't even check previous emails they have sent you and just give you the run-around.

Who am I to contact next - Hubert Joly the CEO of the company? Your are pretty quick to defend them, work for them do we?

Work at staples actually, and simply tired of all the bs I see and hear of people assuming people in positions like mine are corporate lapdog trying to cheat customers at every chance we get.

You assume it was an employee because you want to, and aren't willing to believe it could have been done by a customer.

Believe me if some people want to steal or do something they'll find a way. I didn't once say it couldn't be an employee but simply stated you don't know it was an employee. He'll for all anyone knows Razer made the mistake.

The store manager is there to manage the store but they need a physical person for the return, they don't really have the power to change that. The store level is really quite low in the scheme of things.

For something like what your going through honestly corporate would be the only ones I can think of that could resolve the problem.

As for how far you've contacted you stated nowhere until this comment that you tried more than customer service help desk number and the store, so I spoke based on what information I had.

I am sorry to hear about this and do think they should try to work something out with you. And wish you luck in trying to get this resolved.

Ok first you don't know it wasn't a customer that swapped the items, the cameras aren't going to be monitored at all times if they have reason to suspect something is off they may review the tapes.

Maybe there is something they could have done for you, maybe not but the store manager has no power in this matter. It appears they want an actual person to do the return in person. From the looks of it you haven't tried contacting anywhere higher than the store level and lowest level of customer service reps, who aren't going to have much power.

Keep Best Buy out of Australia. They already are a virus in the US and Canada.

Customer service at Best Buy consumer relations and at 86th Street, Lexington store

I had called up Tyrus of Consumer relations to help me sort out a matter and his answer was there is nothing he can do to help me out. He was absolutely rude and hung up on me. When I called back he said the phone got disconnected and I asked why he did not call me back specially since he had taken my cell phone and email. His response was he did not want to. There was not at all curteous and was yelling at me. REASON WHY I CALLED: My son had gone to Best Buy on 86th street to upgrade his ATT Phone to Samsung Note 4, specially since he had applied for a credit of $50 months ago. I on the other hand had no intention of getting the phone from BB but preferred going to ATT directly. When my son was in the store they said he was not an authorized person on ATT plan and therefore could not do so. I requested to speak to the sales person who said she did not want to speak and after much insistence she did come on the phone and did not even let me complete what I was telling her. I needed to tell her that I am the primary holder of ATT plan and that I will give her all the info. she needed from my end. She refused to listen and I requested for the manager whose name is Archie. He said it cannot be done. Eventually I contacted ATT and added my son as an authorised user. My son informed me that he had to wait now till she finished with all the other customers and it is very strange that in a store on 86th street which is huge there is only one person who is taking care of this. In all my experiences with BB I have noticed a lackadaisical attitude with your employees who are not willing to help and customer service stinks. Also I wish to draw your attention that BB is trying to push ATT next plan on to customers. This happened when I went to upgrade the phone for my other son and I was if I do not take the plan they cannot sell me the phone. I was walking out of the store and then was told they will do their best for me to keep my old plan. By the way I had two different opinions from two different stores. They tried their very best trying to break down the plan to show how much I would save which ofcourse was not right at all. Now that I see the law suits against ATT, I was right about it.

Panasonic and Best Buy. Worst customer service ever!

Details
We purchased a Panasonic Microwave from Best Buy on September 24th 2014. The latch broke on October 24th 2014 and the microwave will not work. We have owned it a total of 30 days... We took it back to Best Buy, they referred us to the manufacturer. Called Panasonic to report problem, and they gave us a case number, and said we would be called back within 24 to 48 hours. Still waiting...I finally call them back today, was on hold for over 30 minutes. I tried to call corporate in the United States. Their call center sends you back overseas. Will not purchase a Panasonic product anymore, and will not purchase from Best Buy either. Spent $135 for a product that worked for 30 days...

Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. After that it's a manufacturer's warranty issue.

There is no reason for Best Buy to take that microwave back.

This goes for any retailer, the only difference between them is how many days they choose to give you. But once you pass the return/exchange timeframe Best Buy, Walmart, Target and any one else will tell you deal with the manufacturer.

Best Buy in Vidor, Texas - Bad experience with Sales Person

Yesterday, I went to Best Buy in Lafayette, La. to purchase an external Hard Drive and a new computer. There were several similar models so I waited for a salesperson to help me. After about 15 minutes, one man seemed not busy with anyone so I walked up to the desk and asked if someone could help me with the computers. He rudely exclaimed, "There are only two of us so you'll just have to wait a few minutes". I apologized and went to stand next to the computers. For 20 additional minutes, I watched him joke with co workers and talk on his cell phone. I noted the price on several models and went straight to Sams where I found the exact model Best Buy was selling for $700+ and got it for $485. So after all, I guess BB's rude behavior saved me money. I will never shop there again~

Best Buy in Anderson, South Carolina - FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Item #5041656 Igloo 10 cubic feet refridgerator advertised for $224.99. My husband went online to order. The website said it could not be shipped to store or delivered to our home. So he called customer service, which first transferred him to a store that was closed. Then he called back and they said that this product was only available in the Midwest. If it is not available in all areas, then it should stated that on their website. Instead they told him to pick another one. We have purchased quite a few electronic products from Best Buy in the past, but after this experience, we will shop somewhere else. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

You should really learn to read. The website clearly states it's on Clearance and furthermore says Delivery "Most Areas", not all. Learn to read and get on with your life

Most five year old's don't know how to read. Her husband needs to be arrested for marrying a five year old girl. Then again her husband could be five years old himself if he also believes this is false advertising and did not correct his five year old wife.

Best Buy in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Lousy Service

I spent nearly $1,000 on Sonos (a bridge and 3 speakers) and after installing the software the app shortcut appeared only on my desktop. I asked the Ridgedale help desk how to add the shortcut to my Windows 8 start screen. The answer was that “they offered a Windows 8 class on Thursday and (however) it was filled up”. I consider this a non-answer and a brush-off. I have subsequently found the answer on google and it takes two clicks of the mouse. The service at their help desk has been very disappointing. This has happened before. After I bought a lap-top, I was not familiar with the operation of the Fn key when using the function keys. The help desk was not able to answer a simple question that was solved by using the Fn key..
