I purchased a laptop online and paid extra for guaranteed shipping 2 day. Later on the day AFTER I paid i recieved an email saying the item was backordered and they possibly might get it next month! So I called to cancel my order. I was told I can't cancel my order because it is pending and will remain that way until it ships. Even though this wasn't the case when i ordered!! So now I have to wait possibly months, if ever, they get it back in stock. And I am out hundreds of dollars bc it has been taken out of available funds at my bank and I can't purchase elsewhere because they have my money tied up! This hasn't been my first horrible experience with best buy but I can promise you it will be the last. It will be a cold day in *** before I ever buy another *** thing from them. And as soon as that laptop gets here, it's going straight back. I don't care if they are the last store in the world that sells electronics I would rather scratch out a *** message with a rock in the dirt.

I would double check with the bank. It is possible that what you see on the statement is simply an authorization.

Basically when you place the order Best Buy goes to the bank and asks "Can we have this money?". Your bank then says "Sure" and Best Buy is then authorized to remove the funds. However until an item ships companies cannot actually take the money. So Best Buy has been authorized to remove these funds at that time.

So if it is an authorization it will simply drop off of your statement and when Best Buy ships the laptop will become an actual charge and remove the funds.

First thing I would do is contact the bank and double check this. The bank can not only tell you if this is an authorization but if it is an authorization can tell you when it will fall off.

If it is an actual charge then I would check with your state's rules on when a company can remove funds for items that have not yet shipped because in most states that should be illegal and it could also be a federal issue.

Do not assume just because the balance on your account is lower that this is an actual charge however, authorizations and charges look exactly the same on a statement. The only way to tell is behind the scenes by an actual bank employee because they can see the drop off date (possibly customer service with Best Buy but I don't know what their order system looks like so I cannot guarantee they would see this).

BEST BUY ADDS HUGE INTEREST TO MY LAST PAYMENT!

I have had an account in good standing with this company for over two years. Just when I prepared to make my last payment of just over 50.00 to clear up the account, I received a bill for 247.00. They added 188.00 interest to my account for no reason. When I called about this the supervisor said I was making it look like they were trying to take advantage of me and was very rude. This is the LAST time I will ever do business with them again. I am a Veteran and A senior citizen and plan to complain to the North Carolina Attorney General for their action on my account. I am sure they will try to collect, but I will fight them for the rest of my life if necessary.

We came to buy a 65 to 70" TV and the sales people were too busy talking to each other to help us, then when they finally did start to help us they would start talking to other customers that came up to ask them questions instead of talking care of us first, then we asked to talk to the manager who the sales girl said didn't have time to talk to us so my husband went over and asked him about the TV we knew we wanted. He was in a rush and one of our questions was if he could include a remote for the display which was missing one. He said that he could only give us half off a remote. Then he rushed off. I can't believe how rude, rushed and bothered the staff seemed having to make time to answer questions to see us a TV. Rude.

I am a female sr. citizen who needed a new tv for my bedroom.

went to best buy and was completely ignored while there were sales associates who were available to help me . so went across the street to Sears where a very polite young man assisted me, gave me helpful advice and got the sale..I will never purchase anything from Best Buy

I purching a big screen Tv on 2-23-2015. The TV was delivered to my house on 2-28-2015. I found it was too big to fit my living room, so I decided to return it. I went to the store were I purchesed today (3-12-2015). They refused returning. I was told by the manager that the date count from the purchesed date, not from the delivered date. I am so upset about this. It does not make sense for me. Since they have 15 days returning policy, I have never thought that I will be a problem return it since I only have the TV for 12 day. My order number is 1115054584730. What I can do for this? I may have to hire a lawyer to sue them even I don't want to.

High end dishwasher and I'm a Best Buy Elite PLUS member

When I purchased the item online, the website implied that that the old dishwasher would be hauled away and the new one installed. Turns out, the old one can only be hauled away if it is disconnected. Nothing was said when the item was purchased, and it was also implied that the dishwasher would be installed. Delivery person said that this confusion is common as the store's policy is NOT STATED when you are shopping online or during the purchase procedure. If another store included installation in their price, and was higher than Bestbuy, I would still have bought from other store.

So by YOUR math, as a teacher no less, you expect that a business is going to return an item well over 60 days past the return date? There is no company that is going to give you ANYTHING that long after the purchase.

YOU are just being lazy and ignorant. As a teacher look at what YOU are saying PLEASE!!! It doesnt matter how much money YOU have spent. It doesnt matter WHAT you use those items for.

As far as THEY are concerned YOU are trying to SCAM THEM for a TV. Because THAT IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!! For all they know YOU picked up a BROKEN TV and are trying to switch it out. At their cost!!!!

Sorry but YOUR version of events CANNOT be believed!! You have no one to blame but your fellow customers who have done EVERYTHING they can to rob,scam,and steal from businesses. So much so that NO ONE is believed. While YOU think its unfair YOU have only yourself to blame for waiting as long as you did.

BAIT & SWITCH | Best Buy review

I attempted to buy on-line for in-store pickup an Asus - Xonar DX PCI Express Sound Card - Black Model: XONARDX SKU: 2963455 advertised as on sale for 83.95. I made 3 tries over a week. After going through their rigmarole of reentering billing address, then Paypal, when I pressed the "place order" tab at the end the site said it was no longer available / sold out. They should take the ad down if they can't fill orders on it. It's a waste of time, and bad faith. I can understand selling out of something. But don't keep pushing it!

Terrible Trade In | Best Buy review from Cleveland, Ohio

I tried to sell three of my games to Best Buy, and they were asking for and ID. So my dad gave them his drivers license and they said they needed another ID. Who carries two picture ID's? So we had to end up walking out with the games we walked in with and not what we came for. It was good service, they cant do anything about the lousy set up that prevents customers from doing what they desire to do. This left us very upset and they probably wont see us in there for awhile. Good job gamestop for earning yourself more customers.

Ups won't deliver to my apartment,and best buy gives me the runaround

i purchased a samsung galaxy tab 4 16gb 8 inch black tablet,as well as a tablet case, a stylus and a micro sd card from best buy who also gave me a gift card to use in their words in case i wanted to take the items back, they would put the amount i spent back on the card to use later, meaning that i would be forced to spend my money in their store, even if i didn't want to i was informed that my product would have to be delivered to my place,after i requested to pickup the items in the store,after a little reluctance i said fine so the delivery date came and gone, no packages so when i inquired about the status of my delivery they claim that no one was home to pick up the items ,an outright lie and as a result sent the items back to the warehouse this is why i was reluctant to have my products shipped home i left my phone lines clear and i was home waiting for these items, no phone call ,no notice saying they even made attempts as it turns out, they won't even come to my door because of "safety reasons", i live in the projects and they are reluctant to deliver in my area because a chinese food deliveryman got killed around it,as messed up as that is, it has nothing to do with me and me products being delivered,not only is it infuriating ,it's also discriminatory as well oh and the card i mentioned earlier will contain the refund of the item purchase prices,but now i'm having issues with best buy regarding this refund,they claim that they haven't recieved the products when the ups tracking number tells me that they have i'am a very pissed consumer
