Terrible Customer Service!!! No Loyalty!!! | Best Buy review from Oswego, Illinois

I have been shopping at the Oswego Il Best Buy since the store opened. I am a Loyal Platinum customer. I have bought all of my 7 flat screen tvs as well as my home theatre and all electronics exclusively at Best Buy. I am writing to you about a recent incident at this particular store. I placed an order for a 42 inch Visio Smart Tv. I was told the order would arrive on 4/2/15. I went to the store at 6 15 pm on the 2nd. The associate at the store informed me that the truck had not shown up and that it should have arrived at 3pm. She then informed me that even if it showed up I could not get the tv that night. After informing her that I needed something now she said that if I wanted someone could help me find another tv. I went to talk to an associate in the tv section. I explained my situation and told him I needed a tv tonight. I found a tv Samsung model UN4046203AFXZA this tv was 444.99. The Vizio tv model M4221-I-BI WAS 429.99. This associate said he would talk to a manager and see if he could price match the tv. When he came back he explained that because it was a different brand the manager said no. I told the associate I can not believe that for 15 dollars Best Buy is losing a loyal lifetime customer. He was a very rude, ignorant associate and replied sorry that's how it is. I feel betrayed. After the 10s of thousands of dollars I have spent and the great recommendations I have given to people over the years to shop at Best Buy, this is a slap in the face. I left the store and purchased a tv at SAMs Club. I just wanted to let shoppers know how the manager at the Oswego store has turned away a lifetime customer.

This couldn't be more true. I spent $700.00 on a laptop 2 months ago, it took a dump on me today, and they wanted another $200.00 for their geek squad coverage.

Good thing I know an IT guy.

I don't recommend this *** hole to anyone for anything. Money hungry pathetic losers.

My wife & I purchased a 40 inch Samsung TV from Best Buy in Whitehall, PA. When we got it home & mounted it on the wall we found that the smart features of the TV did not work. Sadly this is the only reason we bought the TV seeing as we weren't hooking it up to cable or satellite. I contacted Best Buys Customer Service Team & spoke with Jennifer. She promised me that Best Buy would exchange the TV & give me a free upgrade seeing as this model didn't work & as compensation for my troubles. She told me that I would have to call back the next day & speak with the store manager so this could be done. I called back the next day & the manager refused to honor the deal that was made. I then called the corporate office & spoke with the Customer Service Team who refused to do anything to fix the problem. They then put me though to Executive Customer Service who promised to send me a $75 gift card (which they never did ). Then I called Executive Customer Service again & spoke with Andrew Chase who also promised that Best Buy would be willing to exchange my TV with a free upgrade if the representative Jennifer promised that. He promised to listen to the taped conversation & get back to me in 24 hours. He never called back as promised. Over a week later he called back & told me he wasn't honoring the deal he made with me. I had the named of the man who is in charge of the customer service team so I called the corporate office & asked for him. The operator told she was transferring me to his office. This lying *** didn't do what she promised & instead put me back to Executive Customer Service Department. I am now stuck with a broken TV. This company doesn't care at all about it's customers & they are consistant liars. They refuse to put you through to the people you ask for in the corporate office. In my eyes it's because the big wigs only care about counting the money from the customers & not about you if you have a problem. This company has forever lost my business & I hope you will join in BOYCOTT of BEST BUY. Please don't be *** like I was & put your trust in a company that just doesn't care about you. If this company wants to contact me in regard to this matter they are more than welcome to but i want no one from Executive Customer Service Department to contact me seeing as they are liars.

Contact the manufacturer of the TV and work something out with them and then never go to bb again!!

We did contact Samsung & they promised a call back in 48 hours in regard to the matter but they never called back. I then contacted them back & they wanted to send a tech to my house to try & fix it.

I told them I didn't want to be stuck with a defective TV that has issues from the start. I asked them to exchange it with a free upgrade but they refused that offer.

Sadly all the electronic stores must have the mentality. 2 years ago we bought a 60 inch LG TV & Blu Ray Player that when we plugged it in it caught the wires on fire & smoke started pouring out of the Blu Ray Player, our Directv DVR & the back of the TV.

I contacted hhGregg & they refused to do anything about it since it was less than a month old & any thing less than a month old is supposed to be taken care of by the manufacture. LG refused to do anything cause they are just plain *** So in

both Best Buys & hhGreggs cases BUYER BEWARE!

Well if you had purchased the Geek Squad warranty Best Buy would have helped you. However after the return/exchange timeframe Best Buy is under no further obligation to do anything.

They cannot force LG to fix or replace your washer, and they certainly aren't obligated to replace your washer after the exchange timeframe.

Consumer affairs is going to point you to LG as the manufacturer's warranty should cover this. Your complaint is with LG not Best Buy, Best Buy has done everything they are required to do.

I bought a metro(switched from tmobile)on feb 24, 2015. I dropped my phone on 3/31/2015 i just added mi utes on the 23rd. i paid for the insurance through b buy. I called to see what i could do they no longer carry metro manager not helpful at all at mall store. Called another b buy they told me id have to contact metro. I called metro after three people the only thing they could do was putmy minutes on an unlocked phone. I called the b buy i bought the phone from again asked for manager and the guy who didnt help me was the mNager.i asked for the corporate office number then he startes looking into it. My problem is. When i bought phone was not asked if i wanted the insurance from metro only b buys ok fine but they no longer carry so im on the phone for 4 hours seriously after 12hr day at work to be told haha u baught our insurance so now that we dont carry this service we wont give u your money back but a store credit u have to change services so your out the money for your minutes. Then if i could have afforded other good phones from a relable and good service i would have stayed with tmobil but could not afford their phone. Then i call corporate to be told ill give you a gift card to best buy but it will not be here for 7_10days. Oh ya i am working out of town and have my mail forwarded and was told they could not send to a po box. Really beat buy. Id understand if you had product but you dont carry. Customer service at two stores and even corporate is terrible yall need to rememsber if you didnt have customers you would not have a job

Found an I-phone 5 online for $49.99, was told by customer service would not be charged until picked up, drove to another suburb (40 minutes) to get it, no phone. Store wouldn't be bothered with helping. Next morning, $66.91 deducted from my checking. Called C.S. and was told a manager would help with getting this resolved as an old system had to be access. They left message and Was told only store that had the phone was Albuquerque, could not do "mail to home" but that the store didn't have any (?) as item was discontinued. I was incredulous at the stupidity. Had to call to cancel order to get money back. We'll see if I get my money back. I work in a huge retail company, corporate. Here is what is wrong here....crappy training of customer service, BAD supply chain, systems that don't talk to each other and don't give regular updates...I actually had the C.S. rep get angry with me because she launched into a canned explanation that my current data plan would convert (I hadn't even been assured that I was getting the phone!!!). Amazing this store is still in business. Recently read their online business did well during holiday. I can't imagine how.

Price match | Best Buy review from Mountain View, California

Sony xbr55x850b on March 9. Was told at mountain view ca store that price match within 30 days. Angle Ina refuses to help says price match is 15 and I am part of my way as well. Not sure what to do, when I purchased the sales person said purchase now and will give adjustment does not want to help I need my $300, such bad service. I have witnesses to prove it I don't look at written agreement I rely on sales people to be honest the price was $1798 qand now it's $1498. Thank you please help to get my refund really appreciative!

Honestly without any written documentation that the sales person said that the store has your word to go on which unfortunately isn't really enough, and unless these witnesses were unbiased 3rd party persons than their word is hard to go on, as there is no simple way to know they aren't just your friends and/or family you asked to come side with you. Now please don't misunderstand I'm not trying to say it's about you but with any person with the same claim.

You say you don't look at the written agreement because you expect the sales person to be honest and while I will agree with the second part of that I also want to point out you should have looked at it even what the person said was correct just to make sure as the sales rep is only human and can make mistakes. So this is just as much on you as it is them.

Poor customer service, best buy Southfield Mi

I wish there was an option to give zero stars because that is what Best Buy in Southfield deserves. I placed an online order and selected the Southfield store to pick up. I arrived at the store and went to customer service. The "team leader" sauntered over with an air of truly being bothered to wait on me. She played with the computer not acknowledging me for a few minutes and then finally asked me what I wanted. I gave her my name and she walked away without another word. She comes back with my DVDs, tossing them on the counter, I see that they put giant stickers on the cases effectively ruining them. She fiddles with the computer and talks to the other employees not acknowledging me but telling them how thankful she is "about to get out of here" and how she has "had enough for the day". Professional while waiting on a customer, right? She did acknowledge me enough to tell me she had to switch computers. Mind you I have been there about ten minutes at this point. She asks for my id which I give her. Then she tells me I can't have the items because the order doesn't have my last name's suffix. Let's think about this logically for a second, my drivers license and credit card match, the credit card matches the order, the only difference is that I did not put "junior" on the BB order. While I get that is their policy, it just seems *** given I have the card I placed the order and my drivers license matches the card. It was further infuriating that she treated me like I was *** and that she is "just letting me know what my name is". She tells me I can cancel the order and buy them in store. I say fine mostly I just want this experience to be over. Then she has the nerve to accuse me of having an attitude with her. Given the downright hostility and indifference I received from her up to this point I have no idea where she gets off accusing me of having an attitude. It is at this point that I lost my cool. I canceled the order and walked out of the store. I am not sure why the best buy staff thinks anyone has to buy stuff at their store. It is not a privilege to shop there. There are plenty of retailers I can choose from, frankly, it is a lot easier to just order things online and have them shipped directly to your home. I would much rather pay shipping than drive to a store and deal with an unprofessional rude ***. The other thing I find comical is that when I called to cancel the order, the person I spoke to on the phone did not even bother to ask why I was canceling the order. You would think that would be information they would want to collect. The customer service representative, while not rude and horrible like the person in the store, clearly was not interested in anything about my call. In either event, that was the last time I will ever buy anything from best buy - online or in a store. Best Buy is dead to me OFFICIALLY and I will laugh so much when they drive themselves out of business.

Ordered a washer and Dryer. Was told it would be dele versed on Saturday. Saturday morning at 8am was called and told they did not have my washer. I asked how long it would be they advised it was on back order. I asked for my money back and was told I had to wait for my order to come in before they could refund my money. Had to literally tell the Manager that I would not leave without my product or my money. It took me almost two hours of arguing but they finally put the money on my debit card.

purchased a phone charger for 19.99 + tax = approx $21.60.. As it turned out the device I purchased it for was faulty. I should mention I have spent quite a bit at this good for nothing piece of *** business. I've developed memory problems of late that I have been seeing a doctor for. I lost the receipt but I assumed they would be like every other store I have had this happen. Didn't even bother asking for a refund just a store credit. I was tol since I had opened the package they couldn't do anything to help me. I should have learned my lesson when I bought a 55 inch tv and a sony blu ray player that didn't work and they wanted 50.00 to update it. I have now learned my lesson whe it comes to best buy. I will rot in *** before anyone I know, family of mine, or me ever sets foot in that store again. I have seen ratings of stores and was never sure how to rate the worst. The number 1 worst is definitely Best Buy 2. Best Buy 3. Best Buy 4. Subway 5. Best buy 6. Best Buy 7. Joe's hamburgers 8. Best Buy 9. Best Buy 10. Bill's Toilet paper is Us. For a crummy 21.80 store credit I will do everything in my power to make it cost them 5,000.00. Since I didn't need it tossed it up in the air and left it there!
