They lie cheat and scam | Best Buy review from Florence, South Carolina

We took our $800 desktop to be repaired. They either lost or stole it and refused to do anything more than give us a store credit for less than half of what we paid for our computer UNTIL we showed proof of their lies via email correspondence. Then they gave us a $550 giftcard and we redeemed some of card for a display laptop only to get it home to find out it was USED not just a display and they didnt even bother to remove all the stuff the previous owner had downloaded onto it. Cant wait to get this one back to see what lie they come up with THIS time. Dont trust them they lie beyond comprehension and care nothing about you or your years of loyalty only lining their pockets.

Poor Customer Service - condecending Sales Staff | Best Buy review from Flagstaff, Arizona

I am not certain how a Big-Box store like BestBuy can stay in business. I've complained to management about the poor, condescending sales staff in at least 3 instances over the past 2 years at the Flagstaff, AZ store. Nothing has changed. Because of my profession, I typically purchase about $15 to 20K in computer supplies and equipment per year. For me, that's a big expense but obviously for BestBuy, my need for computer technology and related equipment is nominal in their bigger scheme of their vision with customers. Obviously, I don't matter as a customer. Instead, I am greeted (if I'm lucky to be greeted, that is) by snarky, condescending sales staff who assume that I am just a bottom-feeder, absent of any knowledge about computers. Rather than list my background, I think the important thing to note is that BestBuy treats customers (IMHO) like trash and just can't be bothered with my business. While I'd rather buy from a physical store, given that prices are somewhat comparable to online stores because of a 'place' that I can go for service, BestBuy is off the table. It's too bad. I think if I were a stockholder or a VP, I'd be REALLY pissed how sales staff treats the general customer. But I'm not certain if BestBuy ever reads these nor cares. It could be that they're 'too big to fail.' But, that's not my bet. Let's see how BestBuy fares over the years due to poor customer service. If I was a betting man, you probably can guess which way I'd bet.

Do you really think that Best Buy cares about customer service? Spend a few hours reading the complaints here.

If you want more just Google "Best Buy complaints".

How do they stay in business? Because people, in general, tolerate the abuse and are mesmerized by the big blue store and fancy TV commercials.

Best Buy - Staff Review from Brentwood, Tennessee

Best Buy has the worst process for customers wanting to purchase a new phone. Me and my 1 year old walk in to an empty Samsung area. This lady was very nice and did everything to keep my business, but she wasn't allowed to sell the phones. You had to go to another area and sign in, then they said it would be 30 or more minutes. There was another guy who could sell phones, but only one was allowed?? There were at least 3 other employees standing there doing nothing. After the only helpful employee was unable to move it along, the other employee said it would be another 30 minutes. Did I mention I had my child? We walked out. I can order it online, if I have to wait or return in an hour. This was a wasted trip. Any employee should be able to sell all the products.

In store experiences are as bad- their price match practices are awful. You call Best Buy-1 800 #- they tell you to print out ad-and go to store. You spend time/money/gas arrive and are told no can't do it?? So why did they send you there to begin with. If you order on line via a live person- you wait-then you call only to find out-that the order was never processed by that person- no order #-no confirmation-and you look like a fool-since your out a product you have waited for weeks. As a patron for over the last 7 years- I am amazed that in the last 18 months- my experiences have been awful- and the only way to get any satisfaction-is to contact the Executive offices in Minnesota and complain. Folks you work hard for your money- when you order something-you expect to get it- no find out weeks later- there was no order placed-or a computer glitch- or the person you spoke to and did the transaction with did not complete the task. Simply incredible- I guess when you get big- your customer patronage doesn't exist anymore. Only a few companies still care when you speak to Customer Service- they are Amazon- Tiger Direct- and few others. So if you have experienced the above- you know what I am talking about. On the day of the release of the samsung galaxy S6 I decided to purchase my phone from best buy as their website stated i would receive a wireless charger free a $59 value. Well when I purchased my phone I was informed that the promotion was for pre-purchase customers only. However by monitoring their website the wireless charger promotion was still present days after my purchase and for my network at&t the website was specific in stating that the phone was only available for in store purchase. I went to best buy and spoke to an employee who again told me the promotion was only available for pre-purchase customers only. I challanged the employee to show me where that was stated on the website. I wasn't there. I spoke to a supervisor who was no help. Finally I requested to speak to a manager who listened to me checked the website and assured me he would contact me within 2 days. The next day i received a phone call from best buy to inform me my wireless charger was waiting for me at the store. My outcome was favorable finally however it shouldn't have been so hard.

Went to best by 4. Two items hear phones & dvds there was no section for classic movies. Store. Rep was not very knowledgeable. & couldn't. Find such. Films as godfather whichh is a classic they didn't. Carrie. The movies also . list of names. They didnt even know what I. Was referring to.....also old virison of. Ten Commandments. Or Noah. &Cider House Rules, they said stoe had 3 coppies of noah according to computer records, they had waitting &standing for overv1hr. While they searched, this store is not very organized nor up two date, wasvquite disapointrd. Also wanted tobbuy ear puones which go around neck they couldn't. Telll me if it eould work on my portable dvd player I. Knew they would work wit my cell phone, &didn't. want to buy 2 diffrrent pairs of ear phones, the. Blbetooth were expensive enough, I'm. A senior on fixed income &disabled I. was very tired. From all the time walkn &wsiting N your store& they on thing the stoe rep could say was small apologhy & rven left me to go help someone else. I was thete 1st , that wasn't. Right, is this your store policy? Just bexause the syore Rrp. Was tired. of helping me, not kool at hall, even you computer system wa very slow.....he could atleast tried to copensate me I. still spent over$80.N your store, costomer service, should be #1 priority.... So from what I can gather from this barely intelligible mess, is that you are upset because Best Buy did not have classic movies like Godfather and The Ten Commandments. I got news for you, as great as these movies are, they probably don't sell well.

Best Buy is a business, not a museum or archive.

They stock what sells. They aren't going to waste shelf space on a movie that doesn't sell just because it's a classic.

Ordered a wall oven and was given a delivery date. Didn't come in, was given another date. Still didn't come in. Placed numerous phone calls but was jacked around by sales reps. Waited over 1 month still no oven. Tried calling Customer Service, but it ended up with more phone and absolutely no results. It is unacceptable that this company is quick to take your money and yet not follow through with any promises. Cancelled my order and bought oven at Home Depot. Got phone call day after order was cancelled with more apologies but again no action or results. I realize my $800 is small potatoes to these companies, but never again from a Best Buy.

Best Buy sold phone and services to impersonators

On February 19 I received a yahoo email thanking me for adding 3 new lines and upgrading my phone to a Verizon Edge on February 15, 2015. I did not make or authorize these transactions. The upgrade resulted in a financing transaction of $750 of which Verizon is charging me $31 per month, for which I have no intention of paying. The have deleted the new lines that were added to my account but indicated that I would have to file a police report with your office in order to file a fraud claim. I also have no intention of paying. I will pay only what I have been paying. I called Verizon wireless and while talking to the fraud department I learned the name, address and phone number where this transaction took place. The transaction took place at a Best Buy located at 3150 New Center Pointe, Colorado Springs, CO 719-597-9519. Best Buy gave this person a new Verizon Edge phone. Verizon Wireless and Best Buy have both been contacted and agree that this is a fraud matter. This is my official police complaint to have this investigated. It is only my unprofessional opinion that this crime was committed by Best Buy in Colorado Springs. I just found out that a similar but more costly crime was committed purchasing AT&T services in my name on the same day at the same Best Buy. I am willing to prosecute perpetrator, Verizon, AT&T and Best Buy.

Not being a fan of Best Buy and my opinion is that the company is sleazy, You do not have a case against them. You are a victim of identity theft.

File a police report and notify all three credit bureaus. Don't expect the police to look for the thief.

Nine million people per year are victims like you. Also you might want to think about freezing your credit reports.
