CANCELLED ORDER MADE IN ERROR WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF PLACING | Best Buy review from Minneapolis, Minnesota

Tabs on E-Bay products got mixed up and instead of a traveler's vest I ordered $135+ binoculars. When I saw the error on the order confirmation, I IMMEDIATELY contacted the E-Bay Resolution Center. Delivered to my e-mail the following day, Best Buy said they couldn't cancel because the order had shipped. What *** if they thought I would believe that. I want from them an immediate credit to my account and a prepaid shipping label to return the items. They suggested I run around repackaging, remailing, or return to the store. I am 70, ill health, and don't drive. So I will never, ever purchase so much as a battery from Best Buy again.

Screwed by the Geek Squad, Computer was in Worse Shape than When I Started | Best Buy review from Santa Barbara, California

RUN, don't walk, from using the Geek Squad. Brought my computer in on Sunday. First person said that perhaps they could look at it while I waited and I should stay in the store until they called my number which would be in about 1/2 hour. I got to the counter, and Mike, who apparently just says no to everyone, said I would have to leave my computer for 3-5 days, or great news, the Geek Squad could help me remotely for just $199/year. I've been in *** for 4 days. I brought it in for running slow, and by the time they got done with it my email and printers didn't work, and it was still running slow. They removed my password program, so I went back into the store, and they said, guess what, I could leave it with them for 3-5 days or call the Geek Squad and have them do it remotely. They were supposed to help me in 20 minutes, and I've been sitting here for an hour. I've spend hours this week on this problem, which wasn't a problem before the Geek Squad. Go anywhere, except here.

Just wondering if you backed up your computer before taking it into the shop? If not then maybe that is why you had email and printer, and password problems when you got it back.

They are supposed to ask you if you had backed it up when you leave it there.

Was told I wasn't able to purchase items from best buy because they suspect im a reseller.. Lol I work at Arby's. I suspect that one of the associates there that don't like me has something to do with it.. I guess I need a lawyer for discrimination.

Inconsistent Products | Best Buy review from Lansing, Michigan

This is not necessarily specific to this particular best buy, but I'm frustrated enough to just vent on any outlet. I am having an extremely frustrating serious of events with purchasing a Smart TV from Best Buy. I first purchased a Samsung TV and it immediately had all sorts of issues. I returned it and it was sent out to have its complete mother board repaired among other things. Once back, it was still slow, but functional until a couple months later when it began randomly turning itself off. I brought it back to the store again, and after a long discussion, and getting conflicting information between the geek squad in-store vs. call center, the the store took it back for credit rather than making me go through another repair send off (since they won't do in house service for TVs of 32"). I do appreciate that adjustment to store policy the geek squad manager took. So then I bought another TV online since I had store credit and therefor couldn't reasonably switch vendors. Before I ordered, I specifically called to be sure that it had the ability to run amazon prime and mlb.tv. Of course when it arrives, it can't run mlb.tv. This is frustrating enough I don't particularly want to go through another round of returns, research and calls that may or may not give me the right information or product. Now, a couple weeks later, his new TV also will not consistently recognize my wireless network. No other the device (laptop, iphone, ipad) is having any difficulty, but some days this TV will recognize the network, and some days it will not. It doesn't make a difference if I move it next to the router... this is ridiculous. The response so far from Best Buy corporate has been "First and foremost, we want you to know we understand how critical customer service is to the success of every business. It reflects what we are as a company and what we can offer to our customers that others can't. What you've experience with one of our stores and over the phone with one of our agents are not typical of Best Buy's customer service. . That being said, we assure you that this is just a one-off incident that will not happen again in the future. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and thank you for your endearing patience and continued patronage." Whether or not this is "not typical of Best Buy's customer service", the experience I am having is beyond frustrating. Needless to say, this experience has soured me towards Best Buy for future large electronics purchases.

Rotten return policy | Best Buy review from Denham Springs, Louisiana

I bought a media tower on May 7, 2015 from Best Buy. My son finally had time to put it together on May 27th. Parts were breaking as he was trying to get it together. I took it back on May, 28th. I didn't hVe a receipt. They wouldn't take it back because it was open. I found the debit card transaction when I got home and called them. They still won't take it back because it's more than 15 days. It is defective! But, I might be out the price of this piece of junk but Best Buy is out even more. I will never buy another thing from them again!

Agreed. It doesn't matter if it's defective, Best Buy gave you 15 days to bring it back. After 15 days if a product is defective you then have to deal with the manufacturer and any warranty they have, it is no longer the retailer's problem.

It's not best buy's fault that you didn't open up the box right away. They have a very clear return policy that you failed to read.

Retailer's are not responsible for incompetent consumer mistakes.

The problem 9 out of 10 times is the consumer's fault. Don't blame them for your failures.

Not responsible, mistakes, wrong procedures, Lousy services. | Best Buy review from Santa Barbara, California

I had the worst buying experience with Best Buy this month. Almost everything they did was wrong ! Their customer database don't get updated after I corrected them. Their data entry was totally messed up. My purchase was entered on somebody else's unfinished data entry with my delivery address. They entered the delivery date without checking for stock availability. We has to take a day off to wait for delivery while they don't even have the dishwasher on their delivery truck to deliver. They just call and rescheduling the delivery. The ' rescheduling ' feature is being used too loosely and too easily. Their procedure is wrong !
